You know I’m here for creative girl summer!

Thanks for great inspiration for a long creative summer. I will be focusing on setting up my studio for my sister and I to sew, embroider, create quilts, beadwork and rematting finds from the thrift store. I am also trying new recipies to help with my Hashimoto's and inflammation. Looking forward for time to linger!

Lovely video! Great idea about summer intentions and being creative! I recently saw a video by Kate Cavanaugh Writes called Summer Writing Semester, where she created courses for herself. While, I am not a writer I like that idea. For example, maybe using hobbies like exercise , crochet, language learning, spending time in nature, and baking. What brand of computer and television do you have? Researching some options, Thanks!

Hi! I am starting my MLIS program in the fall-- and am curious about archival work. Do you have an MLIS or related degree? This video was super interesting! I am trying to find out as much information about different areas I could work with an MLIS before I take classes. I can only take a certain amount of classes so want to make sure I take the ones that I would actually be interested in. I will definitely make my way through more of your videos about archival work! Those taurus earth sign vibes are hitting hard. I feel them also. I need all the sunshine and outdoors I can get. I’ve had to put my feet in the dirt for grounding a lot this summer. It’s almost like catch up for seasonal affective and the gloom from winter.

This is exactly me! I have a Masters in history and will be moving to Virginia at the end of the month, from Oregon! I'm 47 and wondering if it's still possible to qualify for an internship? Or would that be necessary? I'm also interested in working remotely, if that's possible. I've heard the pay can vary on what type of archives you're in and where you work? I'm comfortable working on my own!😊 Once I know what I'm doing, of course. Is there on the job training? Thanks! I'm so excited to have found your channel!

This is so satisfying to watch and listen to. My maternal grandfather passed away recently and he was the primary family history person. He'd done a fair amount of work online, but only on the family history portion. I have one plastic tote and six cardboard boxes full of photos, paper genealogy, journaling, and odds and ends going back to the mid-to-late 1800s, which was in a jumbled mess spanning several drawers of a dresser and a closet. I myself have done family history work since 2015, and have been journaling since 1998-ish, and was given all of my grandfather's work mentioned above. I managed to curate it all into a loose arrangement that made the most sense, and recently began the painstaking effort of digitizing the entire work. Watching how you proceed with the ins and outs of the great work you do gave me a great insight into best practices for my own endeavor, and how to best go about this. Thank you for sharing your passion with us!

Hello! Love love love all the fun fun fun activities you did. I just turned 38 few days ago, same as you I don’t know how to feel about this. I turned 30 and life happens, loads of things happened felt like I didn’t have the chance to process the turning 30 era, then Covid happened and only now I’m recovering from everything that is going on in the past. I too, love coffee shops (hey we love latte and oat milk it seems!), books browsing, and downtown indie bookstores! I wish you feel better soon, we are all learning to know ourselves everyday here, its nice to know theres someone who is tryin to do the same. we are not alone! hugs ❤ Again, happy birthday Sheila, I know I have wished you earlier on insta, never too many wishes ! 🎉🎂🍰🧁🥮 P/s : my island is called Swanville! This is one area where I think women are so much better at than men. Gifting. I never used to appreciate handmade gifts, as compared to expensive gifts, until I was with a girl that didn't have much money. She used to spend many hours drawing me things I loved from my childhood and making me video game related artwork. It was then that I started to learn that things made with love, and over time, cannot be bought. One of my biggest regrets in that 4-yr hellish relationship (Of which I was no angel) was when she was drawing me something from one of my favorite game series. Needless to say, we inevitably got into another argument, and by this point I had just about enough of her drama. What I did next I would come to regret for the rest of my life (up until this point and beyond). I destroyed the artwork she had already spent hours upon hours on. Right in front of her...I tore it to many pieces. I can still hear her scream "NOOOO! I worked REALLY hard on that!" through her tears. When I think about it, I still tear up. Even right now...Every girl I have been with since then has been the recipient of an unyielding appreciation for these sort of gifts...as a result of my unwitting error...I can safely promise them that I would NEVER do something like that again. Sorry for the book...this awesome video just made it new again. Not trying to be a downer.

Did you get your bookshelf from Target? I think I have the same exact model. For me, Self-care is about going with the flow and doing what I feel like in the moment. I am a social introvert. While I like to go out amongst people, I don't like to communicate in big groups, Unless it is an academic environment. I love debates and theoretical discussion. In short, I generally like to be alone amongst a crowd. With occasional periods of social activity, followed by being home alone with my Cat, Henry-pants.

I leave my tree up year-round, so that whenever I desire Christmas it is but a plug in the wall away. Looked like fun.

Yeah. I think the 4th, 5th, and 6th year are "mid" years. I am going to be 37 in the summer. I don't question it, I just enjoy my life. Happy birthday though! Of note, I am also a big fan of coffee shops. I usually go to the same shop in Annapolis every Saturday and I sit there for 2 or so hours...reading, writing, thinking, people watching, listening to music, talking to the baristas, playing Switch, etc...Lol, I also peruse book stores. Notably B&N and BAM...I love me some Joe Muggs...
