Yes! I do have a great cozy mystery series for you. Love them. Jennifer David Hesse’s Autumn Alibi and the rest. Just read In the Company of Witches. Started slow but picked up last half. That book was more character plot than a usual cozy mystery.
Those books seem perfect for you! 😊 I should do something brave this week. Maybe I'll do some schoolwork at a cafe or something. : ) I hope you have/had a nice road trip! Oh! Also! Love the new banner!
I loved “In the Company of Witches” such a cozy magical mystery. Still haven’t read the second one but plan to! Also that coffee shop! 😮 wow! I would absolutely just want to live there lol loved this video, Sheila! It gave me all the fall cozy vibes! 🍂☕️📖
Lol, there is bookstore in downtown Annapolis that claims to be the oldest...On another note. Your vlogs are so wholesome and lowkey. I find myself gravitating to your vlogs because they seem so genuine. Like the UA-cam of old. People just recording themselves living their lives. Relatable and not nearly as fake or curated-feeling. I live near D.C. and my job is pretty stressful sometimes, so it's a nice escape for me to see how much more relaxed your life is in comparison. On a coffee shop note, I have my favorites...I go to the same coffee shop in Annapolis every Saturday. Creature of habit, I suppose.
I looked up a list of the oldest book shops and there are quite a few that take the claim hahah. I'd love to visit Annapolis one day! Thank you for the kind words :)
I really like The Book Retreat Mysteries series from Ellery Adams. It's not necessarily autumnal, the books go throughout the seasons, but I like it quite a bit.
Trust me when I say you need to read the Bailey Cates A Magical Bakery Mystery series. If you have Libby you may find them all on there.. that’s where I read them. The main character, Katie Lightfoot, decides to move to Savannah Georgia to help run her aunt’s bakery. She finds out she’s a witch like her aunt and mom (who never told her) so she joins her aunt’s coven who meet in the bakery. In each book there’s a murder that she’s roped into helping solve. It’s super cute and cozy and I think you’d really like them!
I read both The Spellshop and In the Company of Witches recently and really enjoyed them! They felt gentle which suits me perfectly right now lol I'm just sad there weren't more of them 🙈
Hi Sheila! Are you still doing archiving work? I might've missed any update if you already talked about it. I missed watching your work content, although "romanticizing" your small town life is a cozy watch as well.
Thanks for asking! Yes, I am still doing archival work and haven’t felt inspired to make archives vlogs much lately. I appreciate the feedback that you enjoy them though! I’m hoping to film a vlog soon when the inspiration hits 😊
Self-care for me will ALWAYS involve good coffee 😊 PA looks like such a lovely state!
Couldn't agree with you even more on both counts! :)

"We've got museums, we've got artifacts, we've got people dying in leaves" LOL 🧡

I also just got my first eco towel a few weeks ago on vacation at a gift shop. Haven’t tried it yet but hopefully we like it! 😊
Oh how lovely! I haven’t tried mine yet either but will try to report back lol

@@SheilaJoy They can definitely fall into the cliches a little bit and/or be a bit cheesy lol but they definitely have a nice cozy mystery vibe.
