  • Welcome to episode 9 of Vlogmas, friends! Join me for a fun day trip to Mitsuwa Marketplace which is located in Edgewater, New Jersey. Mitsuwa is a Japanese market with a grocery store, food court, and retail shops. Outside the market are fun Japanese shops such as kinokuniya, a Japanese book store and stationery store (!!!), Daiso, and Little Japan. I took the trip with my friends and we had such a fun time wandering around. Stick around until the end to see what I picked up on my trip!

THAT STATIONERY SECTION. 🤩🤩 I would have gone crazy in there! I have a Weeks too! It's my first one (just moved into it early, at the start of the month), and I am loving it so much. And! I used some Hello Kitty stickers in it a couple days ago! Looking forward to the video on your 2024 planners. And girl, I am loathe to do highway driving, so I am super impressed with your skills here. 😅

i love mitsuwa!! i live right by there so i go a lot and end up spending way too much money everytime LOL. also the reason shirts and socks can’t be sold on sundays are bc of blue laws. they were first passed in the 17th or 18th century i believe and originally prohibited working on sundays since it was the “holy day” but now restrict the vending/purchase of only certain things (like clothing, electronics) on sundays. bergen county is the only county in new jersey and one of the only in the country that still practices blue laws! im glad you had fun.. such a good day trip!!

I'm not entirely sure about Japan, but the Korean yogurt flavored things have tasted similar to Yakult (if you've every tried that) kind of milky, a little tart, slightly sweet not sure if that's helpful, but I've quite enjoyed the flavor when I've tried it.
