Another great video that points out key issues (don't drop it!!!... guess why I'm looking for a phone?) Thank you
I'm just not sure if the new features are worth $400 more than keeping the Pixel 7 Pro
So sorry @ohdoctah , but this was one of the best talks I've listened to in a while Really glad you do this show. Keep them coming
Really looking forward to these.
Yeah man, me too!
😂😂OMG this interview was hilarious 😂😂
Years ago I bought one of those cassette-to-digital USB devices to transfer all my old audio tapes to my Mac, for fear that the physical media would degrade. (I’m Jason’s age.) Sure, most of what I recorded was goofy shenanigans, but I did get some relatives as well. I shared one clip of my grandmother with my dad, and he was astonished, telling me he never thought he’d hear her voice again. So, highly recommended for peace of mind (and in case you ever want to blackmail yourself).
(But as you asked: who is it for? I have no kids, so all my crap dies with me anyway. It’s a time-consuming process.)
Aaah, this left me even more confused, I was confused between this and the new Moto Edge 50 Neo, I was leaning towards the 2A, since Camera is a non-issue for me, but now I am leaning towards the Neo, but its 4310mah battery makes me nervous
It’s not just the cheery tone that drops the NotebookLM into the uncanny valley, it is also the rigid maintenance of exactly the same tone with absolutely no variation.
Yeah that might be what I was trying to illustrate.
Are stems possible now with Udio? Can it regenerate the same thing with tweaks (remove this, add that)? Is tweaking by re-directing it really possible yet?
Yes, I watched the whole video.
Udio does support breaking it stems at this point, but it's done after the fact, not before. It's also purely generative, so it's not a true removal, more of an approximation if that makes sense. I'm not sure you can easily tell it to "remove this" quite yet.
Samsung 💀
Nazis huh?💀
Good video. I like your podcast.
Thank you!
Phones are literally the only thing (other then computers) where it kinda makes sense to intergrate ai from the get go
I'm curious to hear your thoughts into where it doesn't make sense to integrate...
They want to integrate AI natively. That's what those new chips are for actually. The A18 and Tensor 4. Apple intelligence is not an LLM like Gemini. Apple is outsourcing GPT and maybe Gemini for that. Apple intelligence is an on device type AI technology that execute actions over the phone. Gemini Live is native to Android. It's based on the smaller model called Gemini Nano. A mini version of the desktop version of Gemini but for mobile. They are both doing AI native on their respective devices. And they should. Gemini app is actually doing what Assistant doing. Making reminders, opening apps, making calls. So it's taking over Assistant soon.
Google lost when ai generated “racially diverse” nazis.
It had a problem with differentiating race, a bug of sorts. It wasn't asked to do that. Don't believe me if you don't want but read into it more i suggest
Yeah that wasn't a good moment.
@@manbatluka we all saw how ruff open ai’s model was, but it would never go out of its way to generate these types of images. The only answer was that it was hardwired in.
Of course Apple would call what's not even their own A.I., "Apple Intelligence." Like no, y'all failed your LLM ventures, called up OpenAI for ChatGPT, then slapped a new name on it. 🤡😂
But ChatGPT doesn't come to Apple Intelligence until sometime next year...
Well the main difference that no one really talk about it that all the AI features in google and Samsung are paid (free only till a set time period). Google photos or samsung image editing are paid. The worst part about apple os that its not coming with the devices, and it'll be available very late in many regions. Not to mention that in EU will it even come out the way ots intended or not, who knows
Apple's approach is the only one that will succeed, their WWDC new app "intentions" are a game changer and it's shocking Google hasn't announced anything like it yet. Apple's vision in the next couple of years, is for a user to say, "I just burned dinner, I need something that will arrive here by 7 for a family dinner of 6. Can you order some food from that Chinese place my parents and I went to last week?" Apple Intelligence will: 1. Recall personal information, address, contacts, messages, locations, app preferences: e.g. DoorDash vs UberEats, 2. Call on the DoorDash API to search for the restaurant name or alternatives that can deliver by 7PM and order food for 6 people. 3. Verify with the user the card on file, and ask it permission to continue, relying on voice recognition/FaceID to process the payment. What would take a user 5-10 mins, became available in seconds. That is what people actually want; not: talking to Gemini, talking to ChatGPT, talking to CoPilot, talking to Adobe AI, etc. etc.
Why I cannot find out your watch face dial in the dial gallery?
I don't know. It's definitely there.
i like the idea of more integration approach, I want my Ai to help in every day tasks not just make ugly pictures or tell me to eat rocks
Fair!
I needed a dumb smart watch that looks good with good battery life. Does everything I need which is mostly count my steps, occasional notification and tell me the time.
Do the notifications work as expected for you?
I can't believe Google is charging $20 a month for the upgraded AI
They're actually rolling out Gemini live for all Android users for free soon 🎉
@@krishna_nadoor Good news that. Cheers
Soon as in now!
Love this type of comparative video. Great content, editing and music!
Thanks man!!
Now in 4k60. What's next, 8k?
Oh boy, might be a while for that one!
Apple Intelligence isn't coming to Canada until December.
Thanks for sharing. Great content. I’m looking to learning more. Blessings on your day.
Thanks Jeff!
Keep up the great content. I keep my toes in both pools over the last few years so I have an iPhone and a pixel that I switch back and forth with and have two separate sims to use both devices but I just went to best buy an hour ago to pick up a pixel 9 fold and if I like it I (may) get rid of other phones and stick with the fold
Wow that's commitment!
Also, yay. My first Apple related video! I hope to do more like this as I broaden my mobile knowledge from just Android (after what, 14-ish years?) to the mobile industry as a whole.
Do you like Apple's integrated approach? Or Google's flexible app-based approach?
I do like apples approach on ai privacy but to early in both to settle on one yet and that being said I'm just bored of iOS but the grip of iMessage in Canada and rest of North America makes it that much harder even if RCS comes partially to ios
Sarah and Jason were both a big part of why I tried podcasting myself for a bit. Loved this conversation. Thanks for sharing.
Oh right on!!! Thanks for sharing.
Question? How do you mirror on your phone?
Mimo app allows for that.
@@Techsploder thank you
I shut your review off at the Crown section. Guess this biased, paid, attempt at a negative review ... forgets to mention Bezel red dot line up etc. Haha so pathetic. Hope people weed through these badly attempted negative Reviews. NOTHING objective here. Move on people.
I discovered the red dot only after the review was published. Hey, ya win some ya lose some. Too bad you turned it off, you would have seen how the notification system was completely borked. Hopefully they address that with a software update. Anyhoo. Thanks for watching regardless!
What will happen to our digital heirloom? Will the medium still be readable? Will the cloud lease still be paid? It reminds me of the "Dances with Wolves" clip: "Ah, a diary... precious... for toilet paper".
I think the whole digital heirloom thing will become a much bigger conversation in the future, our data stores are getting to be massive at this point.
I enjoyed the conversation. Thanks for sharing. Blessings on your day.
Thank you Jeff!
This was great, thank you!
Thank you for watching!
That is the epitome of a conglomeration of monopolizing tactics they are the Monopoly I need to be dismantled everything they do is against the law or skirts it
We'll see it play out very soon!
Hi, good video, thanx! Does the Palma has dark mode? I would like to read at night in my bed with as little of light coming from the screen … Thanx in advance 🙏🏼
You can get a dark mode option in apps (like the Kindle app) but not on the system level that I know of.
Garbage watch just has a good battery nothing else. I went for 2 year old Samsung watch for this price which has so many features.
$69 is... not that much tbh.
Thanks for sharing. It's moving at such a pace, hard to keep up with. So many music generation services out there now.
Tons. I'm super eager to follow the progression.
Great Discussion as always!
Deep appreciation for the super thanks!! Happy you enjoyed the show!
I had an old Garmin vivosmart hr, but the battery finally died .. So i figured i would get a new step counter.. I looked at few amazfit bands and stuff like that.. but for the price, i picked this one.. But im also not looking for a smart watch, I mainly just use the step counter too see roughly how much i've walked today, then when im walking the dog it's nice to be able to switch songs or see notifications without having to get the phone out of the pocket.. Some reviews said though that the notifications could be a bit buggy, but i hope they just fix that with the next update or some.. It will arrive in couple of days, so in a week or so i will either be happy or not ;)
Cross fingers on that update!
@@Techsploder haha well it's not gonna be too bad if the watch sucks, then ill just strip it for parts for my diy projects ;) I can find a use for that display on the watch :)
Thanks for your excellent review of Udio. 2 things I would love to see from Udio or other A.I. platforms: 1- clearcut stem splitting capabilities. 2- The ability to modify and control BPM of rendered takes.
Yeah, both of those features would be great, totally agree.
Which is that white watch face ??
Just one of the included ones!
Emoji Support or not....
Don't believe so.
Re finger. Carpal tunnel?
Refresh my memory... were we talking about a finger?
Nice video sir i am giving my self a birthday gift u earned a sub 🎉😊
Oh right on, welcome!!
@techsloder As a fellow horror movie buff, I would LOVE to see you do a horror movie podcast! You could do history, reviews, recommendations, have guests, etc.
That would be a ton of fun!
I heard that Americans rarely get any vacation or days off (it's 30-40 days paid vacation per year in most of Europe). Curiously wondering, how can they afford a trip to Europe?
Well, my bank account is asking me the same question if I'm honest. But sometimes you just gotta pull the trigger!
I enjoyed this conversation. Blessings on your day.
Thank you!
Get a life! MrMobile is the best !!!!!
Your comment confuses me.
My friend, MrMobile has over 1,25 Mil subscribers !!!! WTF are you talking about ????? Are you jealous or what ?????
um no... just podcasting with a friend who I've known for somewhere around a decade now. But thanks for watching though.
