2 years with the c2 and it still looks like when i unbox it. No burn in and no dead pixels yet
Did you get any black screens ? And no signal from device conected?
Yes the fix for me is a high quality HDMI cable
Is it possible to split the screen into two equal parts using a single source? I want my laptop to see two separate screens in Windows settings. (2 x 1440p monitors).
I don't have much experience using it but I believe the app Windows Power Toys makes this really easy
Great video! Great production
Thanks!
hd560 or pc38x? i only play cs2
Really just comes down to if you want a mic or not
a year on.. are they still good?
I purchased one do you think it’s a waste of money because it’s not 4K?
@@saiddone2656 no
Cheers for playing the speakers in the video! I now have a good idea of what a video of the speakers will sound like through my TV!
Highly recommend an audio interface with inline headphones over wireless headphones as well. Been loving the LG C3 TV as a monitor as well. You pretty much had a good option already for wireless PC buds, the Soundcore VR P10s. I call them the PC AirPods because they work so well. Use them consistently for meetings with no issue (I have a dedicated mic, but the the mic on the headphones is decent as well)
@@hafuridotus thanks! Ended up picking up the Arctic’s Nova 7 and pretty happy with them so far but I think if I want to go earbuds the p10 will be the way I go
I'm someone who lived his live in between headphone, wired-earphone and TWS. I used to think that IEMs are similar regular earphone. But, for the last few weeks my bestie is constantly recommending me to try out IEM. Honestly, I was very hesitant at 1st. So, I just ordered a budget IEM. But, during my research, I noticed that many gamers recommend IEMs and IEMs are way cheaper than a good gaming headphone. Now, I'm very much curious about IEM. I have ordered an entry lvl IEM (KZ ZSN pro 2) with a USB DAC. Let's see how it goes.
I'm happy user of C2 42' on tripod-like stand for over a year. I was blown away by the image quality when I moved from a decent 23' VA monitor. No complaints so far. The only thing is you really need a 4090 for 4k even with dlss. Probably it's a good idea to wait a while for rtx5000 if you are in a market today or just buy a glossy 2k LG monitor if such even exists.
Absolutely awesome video! The only thing that it lacks it's comparison to mac users.
Thanks! Buying a mac is for sure on my horizon
I am hesitating between an LG oled C2/C3 42 " tv as a monitor or the LG 40” LG 40WP95CP widescreen. I don't know if I can get used to the reflective screen for photo and video editing.
@@JohnNeumannfotografie if you have a bright room it can be a pain
@@chettystudios The Samsung S95D has a matte panel I found out.
You can use the LGTVCompanion App from Github that I turns out automatically when you turn off and on the PC
Awesome video! However, I have a burn-in anecdote. I typically turn the monitor off when I'm done using the computer. One time, when I left for a few days, I forgot to do this AND I forgot to disconnect my remote desktop from the computer in the city I was in. When I got home, I was horrified to see my g9 oled on and in remote desktop view. I knew for a fact that I just burned the remote view picture into the monitor because it had been showing the stagnant screen for over a day. I've never been so happy to be wrong. I have not found a single sign of burn-in. These things are pretty fucking resilient.
@@phenomz28 glad to hear it! Not seeing too many of these newer panels get burn in that easy is a great relief
For headphones the shp9500 is a great find for 80 bucks , open back, 50mm drivers , easy to drive and super light ... Its definitely a game changer for cheap :)
@@l67swap1 I’ll check em out thanks!
Holy shit did you seriously just paint over your outlet plate cover instead of just removing it first? I mean it only takes like 6 seconds to remove it. And it wasn’t even just a little bit, that thing was covered with paint around its border, I’m sorry but you need to throw that away asap and go buy a new one lol
@@MikeDold haha no it was covered in old paint and banged up already, I have a whole box of them in the garage
@@chettystudios ok good lol
The peak brightness is sooo damn important, I turned it off initially but with the windows calibration its top tier, also these settings are surprisingly quite good with the mac, once again peak brightness is a MUST
Bro why does my monitor stay black when exiting a game such as over watch any tips?
@@huicho50able turn on windowed borderless instead of full screen. It’s a known issue with any monitor that uses DSC unfortunately
@@chettystudios ended up switching to hdmi and all my problems are gone but seems ill never be able to use dp on my g9 unfortunately
This video was amazing. Extremely thorough. One question for ya though: With your settings, do you have HDR constantly turned on on your monitor and just adjust SDR brightness in windows, or do you switch HDR on when about to game? I ask mostly because it seems with windows SDR never truly looks good with HDR constantly on, no matter how much you adjust that brightness bar, so i usually only turn HDR on when gaming. Am i doing it wrong?
No the way you do it is actually how most people tend to use it! I personally just keep it on but I've seen many people suggest setting up a hot key to turn it on and off when gaming
how i fix my black screen flicker was i just needed to use the display cable that came with the screen the monitor for some reason when i try to use a custom cable it black screen and bugs out.
Dumb question - I have a G93SC connected to a Windows mini PC, to have the screen just turn off after a period do I just go into Power Settings on my PC? Or do I have to mess with the OSD? It has a Panel Care screensaver after 2 mins as I understand it but I want a fully blacked out low power state which will automatically turn on when I mess with the mouse/keyboard. Cheers.
Not a dumb question! You'll have to set it on the PC to turn off the screen after a certain amount of time, and I believe with this display you'll get a countdown timer then the screen will go into standby mode
I recommend the Steelseries Artics if you are looking for low latency and good looking
G9 is absolutely massive
you should try Displate the have really cool metal posters
I'll take a look thanks!
@@chettystudios Your welcome
great video only one I've seen that actually details dealing with a monitor I dont have. may have to stick to ordering a G8 OLED
Thanks! Just be aware with any Samsung product apparently they don't have the best quality control. I can't really speak to it as this is my only monitor from them and once, I worked out the issues it's been (mostly) fine, they just don't have the best rep is all
awesome channel find!
Awesome video. I’m running a 2060 super on this oled monitor. Was having issues at first setting it up. Finally got it dialed in. Using Display port at it’s running smoothly on 240hz with Warzone, F1, Fornite & Horizon. Downside is frames dropped quite a bit. But still looks a lot better than 144hz. I’m still going to upgrade my GPU though.
nice video keep up the good work
You do NOT need to run it on HDMI
Great video and set up. What do you use as a monitor, is that an LG OLED?
@@chrisaldridge85 thanks! And yeah the LG c3 42”
@@chettystudios thanks. How do you get on with it as a monitor?
@@chrisaldridge85 really like it! There are some minor quirks like it not turning on as my pc turns on and having to use the remote to manually turn it on and off but really nothing that's too cumbersome or somebody hasn't found a workaround for yet
@@chettystudios awesome. Thank you.
Bluetooth is definitely not lossless
@@hubbabubba5177 only lossless via the dongle not via Bluetooth
I can agree I have diablo 4 edition
Pixel refresh is added throught firmware update
How much do they cost?
@@vangard9725 $140 right now on Amazon, normally $180
Thanks for this video. I want a dedicated gaming tv and I’m looking at the 48 inch version. This video helped with some concerns as I do not expect a ton of multitasking so the abl and dimming shouldn’t affect me much. Video was well done and succinct, thanks again!
@@Sliipjack thank you!

advice is not so much about the color of the room but about the lighting you have, good lighting can change your mood in seconds, investing in a good set of lights will help you a lot
