On a scale of one to ten how hard was it to rebuild the passenger side im planning on replacing my upper and lower control arms?

I currently own 2 XJs and a have had a dozen over the past 23 years. Ranging from 1986-2000. I've never had a headlight switch go bad.

I just installed this on my xj with stock headlights and noticed no difference

If you use the kit, You've done all you need to do to run LED headlights. I made one of those harnesses years ago, using eBay sockets, and relays, and it cost me about three bucks less. Glad someone makes a kit.

there is also a harness available from LMC truck(part # 36-3580) $was $29.95. I have purchased 6 of these for my XJ's

I used a kit from different company, and can attest to 2 things: 1) my headlight switch stopped needing replacement every 1-1.5 years. Had to do 1 reppacement after about 5 years from adding relay harness, so far. 2) it does make regular or halogen headlights a bit brighter. But for LED ones, there’s no obvious difference.

It does look a little brighter to me.

its oddly reassuring seeing an XJ with upgraded battery cables and alternator that still has that slight bounce in RPM at idle. mines been doing the same and was worried it was a bigger issue. at least I can assume that those two upgrades won't necessarily "fix" that. Seems to be normal behavior for these

I got a cat-back pipe and Flowmaster Super 40(?) OUT to the turn-down under the hitch and bumper. $175 on Ebay. I just brought home a '97 (MINT INTERIOR!) I'd like to re-route my exhaust since it's a 2wd. So it would stay on the drivers side. Not sure just yet. GOOD JOB!

I have a 90 XJ. I have the same control arm drop brackets on mine. They have smacked into some rocks, always a jarring experience when they hang up. Plan to do ironmanfab4x4 long arms this winter. I smashed the cat in mine dragging the jeep over a large rock. The catalyst broke and chunks of it blew into the muffler. That was entertaining to get out of the muffler, had to cut it open to fish the chunks out and weld it back up. I'd recommend a skid under the cat, or a cat delete.

Ive wanted to upgrade my steel cable but i do alot of off road on rocks and mud. I think the synthetic winch line will rub onna rock and tear it up

I was there a week ago...caught 10, biggest was 4.16 lbs...first time there and it was so much fun. When I went in the back to turn my fish in, a father had his two little kids...maybe 9 and 10...the youngest landed a 12.5 lbs. and the 10 yr old landed a 11 lbs. rainbow. Was amazing to see.

ALL you have to do is replace the Allen screw with a bolt and washer then stick it through the loop and tighten it down. Done! ! !

Is there any way we can get that wire diagram? we hooked ours up left and right turn but when we turn on the key we get flashers, not sure what we did wrong, we did not get a flasher switch

We hooked these up we did not have the hazard switch just left turn and right turn, our problem is, when we turn on the key we are getting flashers, how or what did we do wrong, we no longer have the wire diagram

Not looking forward to installing the car back I just ordered since I’m still having neck and shoulder pain but I’ve heard good things from mbrp products

I’m done with Jackery myself. My 1000 quit taking a charge from any source. While I’ve owned it for three years, that’s approximately 12-15 camping trips. Jackery must not watch UA-cam much or they would know there are a lot of us switching to BLUETTI. The battery they use is junk and only last a few hundred (500) charging cycles.

I have the same tailpipe with Ironman no-lift SRB and adjustable shackles. The tailpipe just hits the lower shackle bolt and causes the most annoying rattling sound, but only at idle. My XJ isn’t my daily driver anymore, so I haven’t gotten to the point of fixing it yet, but it’s coming 😂
