So looks pretty obvious.. but installing this link means that bracket you can see attached to the body at 7:10 is now not used? I have a lot of play in the 'rod' that goes into that bracket. Don't think that's what's causing my clicking while turning in 4WD though.
@@Gareth96v1 This kit replaces everything that was factory. Not sure about the clicking your hearing. Possibly front axle shaft ujoints or front driveshaft u joints?? They usually make a click sound when bad.
Would this work on a tj ? If you don’t mind me asking. I do know a big con to those cable operated linkages if they get water in them they can freeze and not shift , I had this happen on a small tractor I was needing it to push snow . God bless .
Unfortunately this one will not work on your tj. BUT.... I just did a search on Amazon and found a non cable linkage kit for around $50 that will work on a tj.
@nextweeksadventure thank you. I've been trying to get mine installed I think my problem is, I didn't have my shifter and transfer case in the same position
My Mechanic wants me to get a 4wd shift cable he says mine is broke... Is this part of that same fix or a different fix? 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Larado 4.0 4-wheel driver separate shifter on floor.
This really is one of the best newer XJ budget channels for the everyday guy. Always appreciate the content brother
Just ordered this part because of your video. Thank you. The bushings were a nightmare so I’ll give this a shot.
Thanks bro, you are very respectful person just like us Omani people from Oman middle east, regards.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I was about to send the part back until I saw this vid!

So I'm not to familiar with the grand cherokees. But the part I used says it will not work on them.
@@nextweeksadventure well that is strange. So do I need an actual cable?
@JohnSmith-xz5fb some of them had actual cables yes. Jeeps are weird.
The effective fix for jeep owners is to buy a toyota.
While this may be true aint nobody got the budget for that.
Nobody wants to spend $13,000 on a truck that nobody’s ever done a timing belt on that has a rusted ass frame
