I really wish there wasnt an 18 week lead time..im in the middle of my splitting for next year and came across this splitter.

Still Inlove with my 1165 from 5 years ago, (horizontal version) still works like new , very fast. At least 500 full cords threw it. Piggybacked by a firewood conveyor. Neat combo

Hopefully we can warm up and dry out so I can get back to splitting here.

Not sure if it's just my computer, but when I try to load the split-fire website, it refused to load, or loads 1/4 of the way! Frustrating...

And for those rookies out there always split wood from the bottom of the tree upwards in other words the lower part of the tree log would go towards the splitting end

You're splitting straight grain wood ?

Got a question most of these videos are splitting straight wood with no knots for the most part on the wood anyone can split wood that has no knots in it easily matter of fact with a monster mall you might be able to beat the machine

I have that model splitter. I like it very much. Coincidentally, I also has a John Deere M. I currently run the splitter off my 4020 but it would be nice to mount the splitter on the M and leave it set up for the winter. I'm curious what the cost of the add-on pump and reservoir is?

I Ordered one of these 1165v log splitter last month were I went on the website it said 6 to 9 weeks then right after i paid the $500 down then website went to 13 to 16 weeks so now im on a long waiting list! Bummer😞 cant wait to do my video's on the 1165v at my firewood business in california! I have had the timberwolf alfa and a few other's from timberwolf now using a wolfridge 28pro and a kentic most the time i splite aprox 80 cord per year of oak & mostly eucalyptus! really hard wood..LOL

We had a '40, next newer model from 1964 to 2008. Don't remember anything but plugs or basic maintenance. Never needed fixing. Sold for $4,000!!!

Can you also add a lip on the flip up side work spaces shelves also so material isn't vibrating off of the work space? I like the knee control. It looks like it makes more sense to me than the foot control. Good job coming up with an even better solution.

Can I get a foot pedal for it? I just dont care for the knee peddle. The "safety" concern isnt a concern for me.

If the ground is not level what leveling options do you have? It would seem the weight is high up, is there a fold out outrigger sort of thing for stability especially when on uneven or unlevel ground?

Never saw a splitter that split both directions. I have my Dad's JD 40u which came right after the JD M. It has three point hitch. 😼

The weight of the pump and hoses appear to me to be supported mostly by the pto shaft. I would find another way to support the pump so you don't break the pto. Otherwise looks great.

1:15 in today's world we don't have much use for tractors like this, lol here i am trying to get my hands on a steam tractor for sawmilling because I've helped do exactly that for a show for two years now and find it to be far superior in effectiveness than internal combustion milling, there really should be no reason a piece of machinery would or should become obsolete anymore with our cnc and 3d technology + online parts suppliers available

How many ton hydraulic system does it have? Also I am hard of hearing it did appear to be humming loudly. Don't know if it's me or if it's actually the machine.

Im.56 years old .... i dont want or need a fast cycle time .... yours id plenty good for me
