“The Legend Of Canada’s Daniel Johnston It’s been a trend in these post-Hot Water Music days where after a band dissolves, a wounded member slinks off to do a quieter, more stripped down (see acoustic) and dare I say, intimate solo project. The lone sensitive singer/songwriter with a guitar strapped to his back has been teenage-crush fodder for years. Let it be known, that this singer/songwrite...
Liquor Pigs - iraqi love
Переглядів 2016 місяців тому
Liquor Pigs are a punk band from Toronto, Canada. They've been kicking around since 1994. Primarily a set-ready live performance machine, the Pigs haven’t left much of a discography for the world to discover. This is a great pity because there is a vault of adrenaline-pumping punk noise primed to blow the ears off of a wide, waiting and unsuspecting audience. Fortunately there’s new blood in th...

Patrick Sky - Dirge to Love Gone By
Переглядів 388Рік тому
By request, for GrandHost. Photographs is the fourth album by Patrick Sky, released in 1969. This is a poignant track, dealing with an issue that societal mores has refused to address, preferring to look away and place the blame where it is least deserved - on the mother of an unwanted child born into devastating poverty. Patrick Sky (born Patrick Lynch: October 2, 1943 in Liveoak Gardens, Geor...

Psychedelic Americana. From the album The Rise & Fall of Honesty. Short lived folk-duo Brian Davies and Clark Maffitt released this album on the Capitol Records Label in 1968. (There is another (phantom) album, October in Oxnard released on the MAL Records label in 1978 which I tracked down - some tracks are up on my channel for the curious). After working together for a number of years they go...

By request, for Jacob. Reg King - You Have Yourself a Good Time
I listen to the local college radio here and there never expecting to hear anything interesting. It usually sounds like everything i've heard for the past 20 years. But this morning they played this and I turned it up and halfway through, I knew I had to find out who it was. Thank you for uploading it.
I’m glad you found it here! Alan Wachs is still writing and performing, I believe.
THANKS !
A great band back in the 60s the psychedelic sound for sure.
He is great!
Ganja Music❤ heard it for 20 years ago
I’m glad you enjoyed!
PUZZLE
the whole reason I began my journey into music....a lyrical, fluid delight, always.
Nicely put! He (Rosmini) deserves the recognition.
@@Eileenjennifer69 ...any footage you have seen of Dick playing live? That would be something else...
@doctorpatt - I haven’t! I think I’ll do a deep dive on that, though.
better than orig, Roky so talent
Blue eyes so bright topples into empty pits. .
Thank You :)
Detroit Rock...!
I always enjoy your videos. I wish I could listen to this one but this hotel PC has no audio. I do have 2 new songs I just posted. One is the dark I Wish The Angels Would Take Me Home. The other my silly Weird Al style twist on Country Roads Take Me Home with my version called Mrs Rose Hold Your Nose.
@@nosedrip007 Hi! Yes, I’ll definitely check those out. Glad you’re still making music. 🙂
@@Eileenjennifer69 There is one more on my channel titled Mystery Track 5. I don't know who the artist is. I wonder if you recognize the song? They sound like The Sundowners. When I originally downloaded it I lost the file info after putting it on CDR.
lol. I’ll give it a try!
it's about time. this is a great album....
Love love love
Looking from my Winow Pane
If Popeye replaced Morrison.
lol.
Sexy album cover!
Steve!!! 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Heather wood has died at age 79 this week RIP
Sad news. 😞
Steve Krikorian fan (Tonite K)...interesting...thanks for posting it
You’re welcome! He’s good.
Dave Antrell recorded this as a demo when he was a senior in high school in Pittsburg, California. That's Jerry Scheff (Elvis Presley/Doors) on bass guitar and Pete Fountain on clarinet.
Thanks. I absolutely love any info about these early tracks and artists.
Thank you for uploading! This is such a great moment, Stills playing so relaxed and cool. Should be a Springfield album of outakes like this.
Cool 👍 😎
Listen to this song like I said, Dina!
this performance still brings pure joy to me, even 50 years later, this is just brilliant
Seems a bit more charmingly ramshackle than the more famous original recording - Robin hits different syllables in a lot of the lines. A Buddhist jam.
Drugs, lol.
Saw them at The Electric Factory (old) in Philadelphia. Mesmerizing.
MORE DL Please
lol!!!! Ok! This weekend. Thanks for the nudge. 🙂
Αγαπημένο από παλιά!!!
It's as if you can see her voice as solid matter.
That’s a thought to consider!
This sound like 16 Horse power I would rather hear Bob Dylan version...
I wore out the cassettes that I had many of these songs on but found an EP of Gilly's with Charlie and two other song, while packing up to move house. Waterfalls songs have stayed with me across the years. I performed on the same bill with them in the Falklands so many years ago. I have looked for them before but stumbled on their songs last night. They really do stand the test of time. What a gift you have shared. Thank you.
You’re most welcome.
I just love this, I saw them in a tiny folk club in Wales in 1979 and bought this album and have only now found this here. In tears.....such a special song , pure voices.....love it ♥♥
If I had a dollar for every time someone has expressed their devotion to this band, I’d be rich. Thank you for commenting. 🙂
Like this song and group 😊
Never another like Nic😍
I know! He’s amazing.
Beautiful
Thank you.
A Beauty. Dark banjo and raw, ragged vocals.♥️
Thank you for posting this. It brings back good memories of my childhood and my father.
Lovely!
I loved this in 1969 and love it now. And still friends with the girl of that time...
Oh my! 45 years ago in the Firkin Bar.
magical group
Such a beautiful voice. It is not the perfect recording, but that doesn't matter. The voice is a shining diamond.
Holding back is so close to stealing
What a line!
I found this album while I was studying music of the late sixties. This is the only song on album that stood out. I think these guys are from the New York area.
Thanks for this. Any bits of info on any of the music on this channel is appreciated. There are only a handful of artists I’ve had the privilege of talking to about their work.

Wow! Where are you finding this stuff? A great anti-acid song, in the vein of "Kicks", but much more psychedelic. After checking out the cover art, though, I expected something much different...
Right. It’s good, isn’t it? I found a lot of my stuff through listening to blogs and podcasts (now long gone because of licensing restrictions, oh lord how I miss them) and I’m lucky enough to have a lot of connections to collectors etc. Thanks for checking out the channel!
Thanks for uploading this. I think that this is my favorite period for Stills. He was brilliant on this album. I like the slower version here, as it's easier to soak in the lyrics and the spareness of the piano really highlights the structure of the composition.
I agree. This is one of my favourite timeframes for musicians, a golden age. I guess it was before the wave broke and rolled back, right?
