- Psychedelic Americana.
From the album The Rise & Fall of Honesty. Short lived folk-duo Brian Davies and Clark Maffitt released this album on the Capitol Records Label in 1968.
(There is another (phantom) album, October in Oxnard released on the MAL Records label in 1978 which I tracked down - some tracks are up on my channel for the curious).
After working together for a number of years they got their initial break when folk singer Glenn Yarbrough spotted them playing at LA's Troubadour Club. Yarbrough initially hired the pair as his warm up act, but was so impressed by them, he brought them on as part of his touring band. This album features warm, intimate harmonies and beautiful psych-folk touches with exceptional guitar playing, tablas and tasteful orchestral arrangements.
My pick from the bonus tracks. I love the meandering thoughts, doubts and musings about love and longing.
Lots of thanks, Eileen...LOVE this record
You’re welcome. I’ll put up the other 3 in a few weeks. 🙂
I am searching for a copy of CD edition (I own the vinyl) but is too expensive 😞
You’ve tried Discogs?

Can you translate to English, AS’S STUDIO?
I just commented but had to delete as it was the wrong account on a public PC the other person forgot to sign out of. Anyway, this sounds like a must have. Is it on Amazon? Also, I just released my new song Astral Trip on my channel about a random out of body experience if you wish to hear it.
It is, but it’s pricey
- around $100.
I’ll check out your Astral Trip!!!
@@Eileenjennifer69 You are right. It is very pricey. I was hoping Amazon had an mp3 version.
@@Eileenjennifer69 I just wrote the melody for my next song. I don't know the title yet but will be sort of a moody song with the melody very haunting. It might take some time but I will let you know when it's recorded and posted.
Perfect.
@@Eileenjennifer69 Can your radio show be listened to on the computer? I would love to hear the songs you play. I also I have one song for you to check out. It's total novelty and noise music. It's called The Squash Song about a vegetable which I work with in my produce department. I sing it slightly in Dave Van Ronk style.
