Thanks For sharing man sorry about your fall after the surgery. Going thru it too
It was a rough time, but it healed up. But its not what it use to be thats for sure. Sorry to hear you are going through it
How did you tear yours?
Benching
really need rear locker
It would have made a massive difference on a lot of these obstacles.
Man! The Nissan kicked the Jeep's butt! This a sad day. Lol.
🤣🤣
Thanks for the info
You are welcome!
How much did it cost in materials
I honestly dont remember it was back in 2020, so i want to say less then 400
Hey brother! Haven’t seen an update from ya in a while… hope you’re doing well!
Thank you for checking in! And i am doing well. I got sick really bad last week again and was dealing with that. But im feeling much better now. It was also my 16th anniversary on Wednesday, so my wife and i have been spending a lot of time together.
兵士のゆりかごから棺桶まで やっぱりハンヴィーは最高だ!!
What rims are you running to prevent rubbing with that size tire? Offset/backspaceing I’m about to need new tires and going to upgrade stock setup to 35s and rims.
So we run a 15x10 with 3.75 backspacing with a 3.5" lift and high clearance fenders. Depending on your lift is what kind of rubbing you will get. With the 38s and a 3.5 lift if we full lock the wheel we will rub on the frame some. But that is a lift issue, not a rim issue.
@@JeepTrailsandBarbells do you still have the stock drive shaft or are do they need to be upgraded after a certain lift height?
@dyakr4368 Yes, we still run stock drive shafts, i have replaced the boots on them, though. you are good up to 3.5" lift. After that, the boot for the bearing on the cv shaft starts to pinch and will tear over time and cause binding. You can get an aftermarket bearing kit for like 100 bucks to upgrade your current drive shafts to pervent that. But honestly, if you go over 3.5, you will be better off upgrading to the after-market ones that have u joints instead.
Yall talking about tires could jump in quicksand and I’d be like "it’s all about shoes"
Звук мотора замера просто шик !
Great video- and great idea- and my Dad told me "If it looks crazy and it works- it ain't crazy" LMAO- thanks for posting this.
Thank you, and your dad sounds like a smart man lol. Glad you enjoyed the video.
I’ve had the same HD steering kit and I had to replace my drivers side tie rod after 3 years. The grease boot disintegrated and tore in half. Not that impressive however, the the kit is decent. The metal is high quality and that counts.
3 years isn't bad for the price, i have smacked mine on rocks many times and it has held up. With it siffing up the steering and being able to take a beating on the rocks, to me its 100% worth the money. And its is affordable compared to other companies at that.
Водятлы! Им только пиво пить. Так опозорить хамви и джипа это надо очень постараться.

Just purchased a o4 tj Im doing the same thing
They are extremely good for the price, will be glad you got them.
W Content 👏👏👏
3:50 those splines look almost brand new!
Yep, 14 years and some really good abuse over the last 3 years. But you know, a dana 30 is made of glass and cant handle anything bigger then a 35 😏🤣
To say you got your monies worth, would be an understatement!
Oh, for sure. I was going to go with yukon originally, but just a 4.56 R&P for the dana 44 was going to be almost 800. So 700 for both front and rear and the install kits is an absolute win.
Thanks for the info. What was the condition of the rough country ball joints when you changed them?
You are welcome. They weren't too bad. I could have kept running them, to be honest. But since i was already going to be striping the front end down, i changed them out.
@@JeepTrailsandBarbells Cool, Thanks. Nice to know there good quality.
@robertcouse3961 they really are, and for 130 its hard to beat. If i didn't think they were worth it i wouldn't be using them again. But im glad this was helpful to you.
Does it just sit on the ground?
It sure does
Put your nasty hands on him after working out and beside you shouldn’t be doing it in the weight room 😵💫

Where are you located?
The location of the trails we were on or, or where i live?
@@JeepTrailsandBarbells where you live. I just moved to the Friendswood area and saw the grey Jeep Gladiator in the video. I have a 2023 Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon Diesel with tons and 40s. Looking for people to wheel with. I like to go to Moab and Colorado (at least one big trip a year) but trying to find people local. They directed me to your channel.
@jackboeker83 i live about 20 minutes from Friendswood, i used to live off of Blackhawk in Friendswood. I am very familiar with the area. We also normally try and do 1 big trip a year as well. we always welcome anyone who would like to wheel with us, we were talking about either going to hot springs or Missouri. But we want to take a trip to Tennessee and go hit them trails as well. But we haven't got anything on the books yet for this year.
@@JeepTrailsandBarbells do you post those trips on any particular website?
@jackboeker83 No, i only post on UA-cam. I have videos on this channel from our last trip to Missouri and Arkansas, along with other trips we have done. But if you like country music and two stepping, we are going to buck wild this Friday if you would like to meet up, we can meet and hang out to get to know each other and maybe plan a trip to go wheeling.
Eso continúa infectado
I found a green orange and black caterpillar I don’t know what kind it is I do not see any pictures that look like the one I found
what caused this ? everything is a learning experience
To be honest, im not 100% sure. I woke up and was going to work and noticed a small puddle under the diff. And the fluid was coming from the center of the cover. When the teeth broke off it shot some threw the diff cover. That's the only reason i knew something was wrong to be honest lol. I think it might have just been a faulty cast on the pinion because we have abused the 5.13s way more than the 4.56 that broke. Sometimes, you just get weak parts from the factory.
And yes i do agree everything is a learning experience. You can get upset, or figure out why and how to fix the issue.
Any JKU or JK owner w a D30 & who wants to wheel ,listen up : at 00:45 minutes, this guy in this video reveals the 'secret sauce ' for the D30 being wheeled on 35" & greater tires: the weight. if you get your weight of wheel + tire under 100lbs , you can wheel with buggy's & keep up. The total GVW is important, also. my four door , dedicated crawler 2011 jku has a trussed d30, rcvs , a torqlocker ,gussets ,sleeves , prototype ball joints and 1/4" steel brackets & I can wheel with truggy's & rigs on 42" tires all day. .. (note: you cannot put a lot of HP behind it without drive line beefing up )
You hit that nail right on the head!
Need the old Wrangler RTs
What size tires?
33x12.50
Did you fix it? If so - how? Did you replace the FAD or delete it?
It was under warranty, so he took it back to the dealership and they said the fork that slid the ring onto the stub shaft broke, so they replaced it for him free of charge because warranty covered it. But if it ever happens again, he will be doing the delete kit with RCV axles.
Thank you for this it helped me out a lot.
You are welcome!
I’m still rocking my d30 after 3 years. Lockers are dangerous in d30’s imo. A truetrac in the front was one of the better mods that I’ve done and it’s increase off-road capability significantly (it’s like a whole new jeep
We still have the dana 30 as well, even now with 38s. I do think a locker would be bad news for it though lol.
@@JeepTrailsandBarbells big difference in price and how hard truetrac’s are on diffs. Research them when you get a chance
@@joerouth6255 i will check it out
Dude, your wife is bad ass! Love the videos.
Yeah she is! And thank you. It was a good day for sure.
That was almost impressive 😂😅😂....

I have heard that the American ball joint deletes are noisy. can you tell me from your personal experience if that's true? I'm debating between these and dynatrac
To he honest my jeep is so noisy as it is i didn't notice any noise at all from them. Ill tell you this, there is a brake in period, they will feel stiff, like when you hit uneven parts of thr road it will want to "pull you" but after about a month they brake in and are really amazing. I have had them for a year and a half now, daily driver and off-road rig, and have no issues at all with them. No wobble, no shaking, no alignment issues at all. I would buy them again for sure, and when my wifes jeep needs new ball joints ill be buying some for hers as well.
I Like your no BS opinion. I’m looking for HD steering kit. i went to crossover steering on a 5.5” lift and have had nothing but alignment issues and death wobble. I just ordered a HD kit from extreme terrain but it’s back ordered. How is your steering down the road? .
Thank you i appreciate that. I haven't had any issues at all with it. I also changed out my ball joints to the American iron ball joint deletes, so i dont have any wobble of any kind. For what i paid i cant complain, i have hit the tie rod on rocks many times wheeling as well and no issues at all even with the abuse.
How was the clearance when flexed out? Was there alot of rubbing? We are going to 37s this week on our sahara and I was curious with a 3in if there was any rubbing on the sliders or fender?
It will rub the factory fenders a little at full flex with the wheel turns full locked. If you get high clearance fender, you won't ever have an issue. Also its not enough rubbing that caused any damage, just some noise from the tire hitting the plastic linners.
You can not put the lower strut bolt in the opposite way, it will contact the sway bar. The only way it can go is the head of the bolt in from the front, nut on the back
Not true, i have done it that way and never had any issues at all. Also with the IFS you can get stiffer shocks or springs and completely remove the front sway bar. Me and others have done that to our frontiers.
Sorry but on the Nissan Frontier it can not go in backwards. The bolt head contacts the sway bar I also have done enough to know. Agree to disagree I suppose @@JeepTrailsandBarbells
@tombellwood8036 Well, i have done it on both frontiers i had and never had an issue. Also, I removed a sway bar off one completely. I never had a problem with that either 🤷♂️🤷♂️ So, I'm not really sure what to think, but oh well. I dont have them anymore to go back to check and see for myself if it does come in contact or not. So as you said we can disagree on this one, but i guess for others to be on the safe side to double check to make sure it wont cause any issues.
I've got the same RC HD steering kit on my ZJ. Just getting done with the build, haven't even had it on the road yet. Question - do you find the tie rod sits too low? Just curious if it's been an issue getting in the way. Thanks,
No it has never been a issue for me, i have taken it through some pretty tough trails and have never found it to be a issue.
@@JeepTrailsandBarbells ok sounds good!! Thanks!!
@@SkiddingF350 you are welcome
@@JeepTrailsandBarbells BTW, I watched one your welding videos. I have similar welder and it’s comforting to see someone really use it and trust the welds it produces. 💪💪
@SkiddingF350 thank you for watching, and yeah i put them to the test for sure lol. Its a good little welder for the price.
This is because of steroid use
Sounds crunchy
It can at times lol
I hope this guy washed hands
He absolutely did.
I have the same issue on my 99 xj, should I weld it first or install new bushing and control arm and then weld it?
I figured out the placement then marked it, then put the bushing and control arm in then i welded it up
