- we had a upper control arm bracket brake on the dana 30, so we ordered a new one and welded it up along with a lot more stuff

Thank you, i really appreciate it. I know some will say this is an excuse, but the better your welding, the better the welds.
You should go buy a cheap welder from harbor freight, then go to a metal supplier. They have tons of scrap they sell for dirt chep. Then you can start teaching yourself. it's not as hard as most people make it out to be. I try and encourage everyone to learn.

I've got the same RC HD steering kit on my ZJ. Just getting done with the build, haven't even had it on the road yet. Question - do you find the tie rod sits too low? Just curious if it's been an issue getting in the way. Thanks,
No it has never been a issue for me, i have taken it through some pretty tough trails and have never found it to be a issue.
