5 things you should know before buying a CFmoto 450SS - in depth explanations
Переглядів 23 тис.Рік тому
I wanted to take the time to talk through 5 things that I feel like everyone interested in buying this bike should know about, but nobody is really talking about. I know, this video is a bit on the long side and I apologize for that. I wanted to be sure to provide thorough context for each of the things I discuss. I’ll work on getting videos shorter in the future. For now, feel free to watch se...
THREE Quad Lock installation options for your CFmoto 450SS - raw unedited footage.

I recently had someone reach out to inquire how I went about installing the Quad Lock phone mount on my bike. Whelp, not only have I installed this mount on my bike, I’ve installed it THREE different ways. This is just a simple walkthrough/explanation of what the options are and how you can do it! Unfortunately I didn’t have the time or capacity to show the steps for each of the installs indivi...
CFmoto 450SS - is it really a beginner bike?!
Переглядів 14 тис.Рік тому
Was off to get my beard trimmed, and the little bit of hair I have left touched up so I decided to take the 450SS so I could address whether I think it’s really a beginner’s bike. This bike’s popularity is growing quickly, so I figured why not chat about it a little bit and provide my opinion. #cfmotousa #450ss #wilmingtonde #dupontstreetbarberco #jokerthemed #spinningstickers #semspeed
Eliminating slack in throttle on CFmoto 450SS

In this video I quickly describe the steps needed in order to remove the throttle cable slack your CFmoto either came with from the factory, or will develop after hours of riding. #450SS #cfmotousa #450SR
2023 CFmoto 450SS - Installing Mustard Bikes tail tidy (fender delete)
Переглядів 4,4 тис.Рік тому
Finally got around to installing the tail tidy for my bike. Shoutout to Mustard Bikes for making a great, high quality part! I figured I would document the steps I took in case anyone finds it helpful.
Noob question is it possible to install quick throttle set on a cf moto nk400?
Amazing easy tutorial.. thank brother.
What size wrench or socket did you use to remove the center cap?
I'm starting to think you regret your purchase bro!
Those stickers on the tires look dope! I goota find those
The factory/dealer adjustment is poor. This definitely resolves throttle issues. Especially on initial range.
Im glad people like this bike so much. I bought this and put it up for sale when I got home from the dealer lol. Nice "starter" bike. Im used to riding my R6, this doesnt have enough juice. Cool little bike tho
Came for the haircut, stayed for the motorcycle.
hi i’m just curious would that stem nut fit the 300ss?
I need guards rails
I would not go as far as saying operating a motorcycle is easy… it’s easy until it isn’t, and those are the moments you need to ALWAYS be prepared for… making things not as ‘easy’
Everything about this bike is my favourite thing about this bike. It's the love of my life 💝 Thank you for the review!
thanks, it’s been messing me up with wheelies 🤣 delays my rev to clutch up
So if the stem nut doesnt support anything can i just like... not have it there and use just mount?
Where did you get those gloves and helmet they are sick
Thanks for the vid!, answered a lot of the questions I gad about the bike and brand also alleviated a few concerns. Was gonna buy the bike anyway but this info definitely helps thanks again
Great video. Thanks! How much "residual slack" should I leave there About 1mm or so?
My 450NK has this slack that when I hit bumps the throttle changes, glad this fixed it.
One of the coaches at the track showed me that. He told me i can do that with the shifter and the rear brake.
FYI the tool kit you found under the operator's seat has a 5MM allen key in it. Also, under the rear seat there is a spot to clip that 5mm key into. You can then use the bike key to access the 5mm allen under the rear seat to gain access to the tools under the operator's seat. Hope that is helpful information.
Awesome Video! Just got a 2024 one and really enjoyed hearing your thoughts on yours. I really like the colored engine side panel you put on. The extra accent of color is sweet.
which type of mount is that for the three option?
we need another update
Hey, is normal for my brand new cf moto to be leaking super small amounts of oil from shift shaft ?
This does not sound normal to me. Possibly overfilled with oil (motor and clutch all work off same oil). I would contact your dealer and run it by them.
Better take it back to the dealership to have them fix it. They should be fixing it at their cost, or warranty, because thats poor assembly. Not wear and tear this early on. You pay the "dealership fee...freight fee...whatever the dealer add on is. Thats usually the assembly they do on site).
This comment section is wild. So many people are here just complaining about china and not looking at the bike. Please go touch grass and stay off the internet for a little bit.
could you post a link of all the mods that you did?
Does anyone know what size screw that is for the 3rd option
sorry boss, I don't know the actual size of the screw. My suggestion would be to remove the factory one and go to your local hardware store and see if you can compare to others.
Okay how did you do the color swap? I really don't like the new 24' colors. But getting the white and then swapping out to red accents would be perfect.
Most of the accents were just decals that peeled off. The winglets and the sliders are not decals. I found the part numbers for each of the things that I wanted to replace with red accents (from the zircon black bikes from 23) and ordered them all directly from my dealer. Took a couple weeks to receive and voila. Done!
Man I’m looking to getting the ‘24 this summer…Curious what insurance is looking like??
Mine wasn't terrible. I paid about $400 for full coverage for the entire year. It's worth saying that insurance quotes vary a lot and what I paid may not be what you are quoted. Shop around!
its pronounced as ah-lee express, not ally express
Learn something new every day. Thank you!
Charlie, after 8 months how is the bike performing? I'm looking into getting one.
Just came back in from a ride! Honestly, it rides exactly the same as it did the day I bought it. Starts right up with 0 problems even after sitting (outside) during the winter with no battery tenderizer on it. For someone looking for a great, well priced, starter bike that feels premium I wouldn’t hesitate to suggest the 450SS.
Why would u wana support china by buying their shit?
Because all your favorite products are either made in China or has significant Chinese components… including you favorite cell phones and auto parts….
There’s not such thing as the perfect bike 😂
Amen! But hey, we can keep testing them all until we find the perfect one for us, right?
Great video, and honest discussion about the 450ss. Doe your barber give you a discount for being bald?
LMAO, this comment literally made me laugh, and the answer to that is Kind of! I basically pay the price for just a haircut, but get the beard trimming as well which typically costs more. Instead of having to spend time up top, he spends that time on my beard instead!
Great video! Where did you get the stem nut? Ive been looking on aliexpress but cant find it
I actually found that on Aliexpress. You'd be surprised what you can find for this bike on there. I unfortunately do not have the link, but I imagine if you search cfmoto 450 (don't put SS as it's referred to as SR in some countries) stem nut, you should be able to find one. You can also drill through your factory one if you want to give that a try!
Dude the third way worked PERFECTLY THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
AWESOME! I literally love hearing that any of my videos was able to help someone. Thanks for watching.
Do you happen to know the size of the screw you used
You can switch to that screen. I ride with that set up previously on all the time. Has two different screen choices. Just hit the ent to select it.
Thanks for letting me know!
I have not experienced any issues with the bluetooth. I figured out everything on day 1. I have been using it a lot.
Nice! Yeah, I honestly think software updates over the last year have greatly helped with ease of use. When the bike first released in the US, there was very minimal support in general.
I’m 48. I bought this, as my first bike, two weeks ago. Hopped on and road it around my neighborhood, with relative ease, for over an hour. I love this bike and I’m kicking myself for not starting riding sooner.
The clutch assist really helps beginner riders like us. I dont think I could comfortably ride without it at first.
This is awesome! I love to hear it. I got on my first bike in my 30's and I'm glad I did. Be safe out there, and keep having fun!
@@CharlieDTE thank you. You be safe too
I am 46 just like you my first bike oh my what have I been waiting for love this bike I got 2024 450ss pure black sweet loving everything about it...
I just bought mine from a friend of a friend for $5200 and it has ZERO miles!! I haven't even ridden it yet. Is it true I need to keep it under 6 grand during the break in period?
So sorry for the very delayed response. I'm hopeful you've had time to put plenty of miles on the bike by now. Way to save yourself several hundred bucks as well!
how is your clutch feels? i feel like my clutch is so soft i got 2024 450SS
What color did you get? Also do you spot any diffrences?
@@eloisdejesuse780 i got the white one
@@markmacatula-so7xcHow much do u pay there in ur country?
My clutch has been fine for roughly 1800 miles now. It's VERY light, but i've never felt it slipping.
so the same way as almost any other sportbike out there? this video doesnt achieve anything that a hundred others that already exist do
well hey, when you're just doing this for fun and nobody at the time at least had a video specifically for this bike, why not? Sorry it hurt you.
Was it really worth hating on someone trying to help people? Lol
After Market support has grown Amazon sells parts for this motorcycle, plus CF Moto launched a company in Mexico to support the US Market.
The bike's popularity has skyrocketed over the last year. It's great to see things becoming more and more easily available.
I hope you enjoy yours, as much as I am enjoying mine. I even got ina couple of December rides in Wisconsin.
I enjoy it as much as I can! Thanks for watching my videos.
I’m in Pennsylvania. I can’t find one to look at anywhere.
Hey im from PA as well, Ordered the 2024 450ss from upstate NY, 3,5 hours north of Mt Pocono
Well, I'm super late to replying to this. Hopefully you were able to find one! Otherwise, come check mine out. It's for sale!

Oh yes... this is what I want, to rip off that slack XD thanks!! just got my 450sr (here it has that name) 20 days ago
Enjoy it!
A machine (or any product) made by the Chinese Communist Party? No thanks. We in the West should decide to stop choosing the cheapest purchasing options and to stop supporting the CCP. So please, for sake of our future and our children's futures, please stop buying Chinese products. The democracies of the world cannot fall prey to unfair trade practices by low-cost, communist-led countries such as China only to then fall prey to their eventually superior military power. We just need to think bigger than who sells the cheapest products.
Sadge fr fr
Bro stuck on 1980s
IMHO, may not be your opinion, supporting the Chinese Communist Party is the very last option but best to just going without. Mark my words, friend, we are going to have a great deal of trouble with China in the future. The issue with China is not the competition. The issue with China is that it is a communist dictatorship that competes unfairly with low labor rates, currency manipulation, and government-funded predatory market manipulation and China wants nothing more to displace the US as the world's hegemon. I have worked in Beijing in the past and I can tell you it is a dystopian nightmare completely unacceptable to the westerner. Westerners may not yet fully understand this, but they do not want to live in a world dominated by communist China. The grand experiment beginning in the '70's and '80's to grow Chinese wealth in hopes that they would eventually develop a thriving middle class that would demand democratization has utterly failed and it always will (the will to democratize must always come from within). Like in Russia, North Korea, and Iran, the people there live in so much fear of their ruthless governments that they choose to do nothing about the tyranny. We in the so-called "Collective West" as they like to refer to us simply cannot continue to support the dictatorships I mentioned with our dollars. We do so at our own peril. Buying a single CFMoto is a small mistake. Letting communist-made product sales damage Japanese and European sales, well, that's another story. Please consider what people are doing when they go into a dealership and buy a CFMoto product. They are benefitting an enemy communist power hell-bent on our demise while simultaneously damaging a democratic ally. We in the West had better wise up very quickly. What kind of world do we want to live in? Ride safe, but ride smart friend.
80% of stuff in your house is made in China. Get over it mate.

Hello! Do you know how do I remove the steering nut on my 300sr because Im too scared to try to remove it by a lot of force in case Im doing something wrong. Thanks!
Hopefully you figured this out by now, but it just twists off! It does take a good bit of force to crack it first though.
@@CharlieDTE what size socket do i need to remove the center lock screw/stem nut?
hi did you find a stem nut for the 300sr ?
@@dominiquerichardson I'm also waiting for him to reply to this question..
Anyone has an issue with loss of power and green fluid leaking ?
Green fluid (coolant) is pretty normal to come out of the overflow line (right side of the bike) and I wouldn't worry about that. Keep an eye on the levels everytime you go out for a ride just take a peak and you should be fine. Never had an issue with loss of power though.
Hi. Can I please ask, I've got a new 450 about a month ago and I was wondering do you get a uncomfortable clunk or thud when you change gears? The gear thud or clunk is worse on down shifts. Does your bike do this on gear changes? I've taken the bike back to the dealers and they tell me this is normal. Do you get the same thing?
Mine sometimes would do that as well, as well as sometimes get stuck in between gears for a moment
@@justinowens2077 monkaS
Yeah, I would say it's somewhat common to have a bit of noise when downshifting, especially if you are not rev matching (blipping the throttle) on the downshifts
