If you wanna burst check early: Block, opponent: hold. Check how much frames you'll loose and be left with, if you have frames to spare feel free to burst check without consequences. Scenario 2: Burst check with negative 1 check advantage, will put you in a 50/50 but mostly is relatively safe. Scenario 3: Burst check, frame advantage +1 if whiffed, feel free to burst check, but if whiffed: Will put you in basically a neutral state.

this tutorial gives an idea to what the tempo of gameplay is like, which is to say, fast disorganized mayhem. guess what they say is true... your only move is hustle.

I'm going to be completely honest. If you actually know how to play real fighting games. Do not play YOMI Hustle. It's not worth it and you will probably become significantly worse at all other fighting games as a side effect. I bought this game almost exactly 1 year ago. Although I only actually played online for about 30 minutes back then. This year I picked it back up. I've been playing online for awhile now and these "mechanics" are not okay. The highest "skilled" players in this game. Do not know how to explain the mechanics because none of them understand how actual fighting games work. I have had to ask VERY specific questions to put everything together myself. This game is more mechanically messed up than even MUGEN. As MUGEN takes place in real time. Again. It's not worth it if you know how to play other fighting games. The dev who designed this game does not actually know why certain mechanics even exist in other fighting games.

Why do some attacks seem inconsistent? Lightning Slash lets you aim it, but only sometimes? Is it cooldown based?

Yo, completely unrelated to the video- BUT- Just found this channel and binged the videos that go through the basics. Loved them and helped me get into the game, very sad to find out he’s not uploading anymore. But I hope he’s doing well. And hopefully one day he starts uploading again because his editing is *mwah* chefs kiss, simple, fast and straight to the point whilst still being clear and concise

Why are there so many moves? I thought the only move was Hustle!

And I dont get how many frames does an action consider before pasing to the next action. For Example if u with robot use a move that have 5 start frames 5 hit frames 5 recovery frames. when i lock the move. The whole move will be executed or just a fraction and what fraction of the move is executed is 5-6 frames always for example
