Very informative for newbies. Some added info would be regarding why these grips developed. Semi western and western were developed for high bouncing balls in tennis even head-high. When having to swing upward to makie contact the closed racket face compensates for the swing path plus adding topspin. In pickleball youll rarely ever see a grounstroke ball above one's chest so the necessity for these grips isnt so much unless small in stature. Semi can come in handy for high swinging volleys on a pop-up or poor lob. One adde point would be hybrid grips which are combination of two of the mentioned grips. For instance believe ben johns main grip was continental at the index pad and eastern on the heel pad of the hand. Very versatile and good for blocks. He has mentioned that shouldnt be locked in on one grip and that certain situations require adjustments and versatility as necessary

Sorry pickleball brainpod, I still don’t know why this atp is illegal. I can’t see that it hit the post but will take your word for it. You also mention you did something illegal before the post hit but looks fine to me. Thanks

ATP rule: Return the ball: The ball can be returned around the outside of the net post. Shot height: There is no restriction on the height of the return. Cross the net: A player can cross the imaginary extension line of the net after hitting the ball, as long as they don't touch the opponent's court. Don't hit the post: The ATP shot is legal as long as the player doesn't hit the post. I watched but did not see anything illegal. Please enlighten me.😊

Do this 1 thing to dominate the 3rd Shot Drop!👇 I’m sure the anticipation is killing you, so here it is: The most common mistake I see in a player’s drop is too big of a backswing. This may seem simple, but the easiest way to improve your drop consistency immediately is to SHORTEN UP YOUR SWING! The bigger your swing, the more prone you are to mistakes! Bonus Tip: Make sure you’re doing everything you can to contact the ball in front of your body, when possible! Give this a try next time you’re on the court and SUBSCRIBE for daily tips like this one!🔥 It’s literally FREE to SUBSCRIBE and improve daily!

I would say topspin if they are a tennis player or in general if you want a more consistent shot and want to push them back. If not use slice to their backhand, because most peoples backhands are much weaker.

It’s an awesome thought, and I think it has merit, but only as long as you do it before your shot, not during. Otherwise, you’re going to look up, instead of keeping your eyes on the ball.

Here’s How it Works!👇 1) Dink cross-court or straight on only 2) If someone pops up a ball, it can be attacked 3) The goal is 100 dinks in a row (higher for advanced players) 4) As soon as someone misses, you must remove 20 from your total count (if you are at 80 dinks in a row when someone messes up, you must go back to 60) Can you make it to 100???

How about learning to become a harder banger then they. Also The ball being around waist level height when striking the ball and aiming for the top of the net is what I do when I rip the ball. IMO the best way to beat a banger is hit to there backhand side if they do not have a powerful two handed backhand. That way you take away their opportunity from them to drive the ball or learn how to do 3rd shot drops into the kitchen and try to win the point through dinking. Another way to beat a banger is to direct the power of their ball where they are not by blocking the ball in the direction you want it to go which already has enough power on it already so you do not have to try and put addition power when you place it where they are not.
