Is Your Pickleball Paddle Right for You?
Trying to imagine a situation when I would choose a slice drop.
Very informative for newbies. Some added info would be regarding why these grips developed. Semi western and western were developed for high bouncing balls in tennis even head-high. When having to swing upward to makie contact the closed racket face compensates for the swing path plus adding topspin. In pickleball youll rarely ever see a grounstroke ball above one's chest so the necessity for these grips isnt so much unless small in stature. Semi can come in handy for high swinging volleys on a pop-up or poor lob. One adde point would be hybrid grips which are combination of two of the mentioned grips. For instance believe ben johns main grip was continental at the index pad and eastern on the heel pad of the hand. Very versatile and good for blocks. He has mentioned that shouldnt be locked in on one grip and that certain situations require adjustments and versatility as necessary
Thanks for your support and the additional info!🫡
💯It’s harder than finding a spouse
😆You may be right
2nd serve was short
Yep. That’s why I call it a SHORT Angle Serve. It can be very difficult for the returner to get to.
Sorry pickleball brainpod, I still don’t know why this atp is illegal. I can’t see that it hit the post but will take your word for it. You also mention you did something illegal before the post hit but looks fine to me. Thanks
The ball bounced out of bounds before he even made contact with it for the ATP👍
@@H-s6pCorrect!🧠
Yiipes!! That should be obvious to anyone. Silly me!
@@evidencebased1no worries 👍
pretty sure one foot must be on the ground when the ball is struck during the serve
You are correct!🧠
👍 Correct
It's tennis, who gives a shit!
Either you’re stupid or bad at joking
A legal. B kitchen line C hits post
A. Illegal off hand B. Illegal toe on kitchen line C. Legal
A is the only legal shot. Below the wrist is permitted. All other shots are illegal. Watch C again and you should be able to determine why👍
ATP rule: Return the ball: The ball can be returned around the outside of the net post. Shot height: There is no restriction on the height of the return. Cross the net: A player can cross the imaginary extension line of the net after hitting the ball, as long as they don't touch the opponent's court. Don't hit the post: The ATP shot is legal as long as the player doesn't hit the post. I watched but did not see anything illegal. Please enlighten me.😊
@@evidencebased1The ATP did hit the post which alone is illegal, but look what happened before I even made contact with the ball… Hope that helps!👍
Whybwere all of u insulting me over this stupid games years ago fuck u haters
Borderline illegal cause your tossing the ball up vs a drop... 😬
You can toss the ball up all you want. It’s 100% legal… the only time you can’t is if you’re playing in a PPA tournament

I don`t get this video
Like sometimes when you wanna play with your friends they say their “party is full” this video is basically saying that when you realize they were lying and their party isn’t full or smth hope Godzilla didn’t have a stroke reading this lol
Hi I'm the first one pls pim me❤
Do this 1 thing to dominate the 3rd Shot Drop!👇 I’m sure the anticipation is killing you, so here it is: The most common mistake I see in a player’s drop is too big of a backswing. This may seem simple, but the easiest way to improve your drop consistency immediately is to SHORTEN UP YOUR SWING! The bigger your swing, the more prone you are to mistakes! Bonus Tip: Make sure you’re doing everything you can to contact the ball in front of your body, when possible! Give this a try next time you’re on the court and SUBSCRIBE for daily tips like this one!🔥 It’s literally FREE to SUBSCRIBE and improve daily!
Crossed the plane on Ernie attempt and didn’t make contact with the ball
🙌
@ I legit had to watch 15 times though
@@Pickleball_dad😆 Whatever it takes!
Out of bounds when he hit it
Nope. That is completely legal
The guy didn’t let the ball hit the floor
Nope. That’s perfectly legal.😉
This is a good drill! 📝 more!

I would say topspin if they are a tennis player or in general if you want a more consistent shot and want to push them back. If not use slice to their backhand, because most peoples backhands are much weaker.
Interesting take 😁
slice
With a sprinkle of topspin?😉

I use clear squash sport goggles, they have the highest rating
It’s an awesome thought, and I think it has merit, but only as long as you do it before your shot, not during. Otherwise, you’re going to look up, instead of keeping your eyes on the ball.
Titan also come from $2099 lowest price too
🔥idea! Thank you
Here’s How it Works!👇 1) Dink cross-court or straight on only 2) If someone pops up a ball, it can be attacked 3) The goal is 100 dinks in a row (higher for advanced players) 4) As soon as someone misses, you must remove 20 from your total count (if you are at 80 dinks in a row when someone messes up, you must go back to 60) Can you make it to 100???
4th shot roll volleys with your spinfire

What is this development you’re at? Looks interesting…
It’s just outside St. George, UT
Used the peekaboo trick shot and it worked! Love it! Thanks for sharing...never seen it before, nor had my opponents! hahaha!
Great to hear!
Great tips!
Glad you think so!

slinger is best for the $$$ and best for most people.
What balls do you like? Is it important to use the same balls? Thx for the video.
It is very important to use the same balls. I have found with different balls that the machine is VERY inconsistent with different balls
Thank for replying!@@picklebrainpod

Thank you 🙏
good stuff! remember tits high let if fly!
How about learning to become a harder banger then they. Also The ball being around waist level height when striking the ball and aiming for the top of the net is what I do when I rip the ball. IMO the best way to beat a banger is hit to there backhand side if they do not have a powerful two handed backhand. That way you take away their opportunity from them to drive the ball or learn how to do 3rd shot drops into the kitchen and try to win the point through dinking. Another way to beat a banger is to direct the power of their ball where they are not by blocking the ball in the direction you want it to go which already has enough power on it already so you do not have to try and put addition power when you place it where they are not.
Excellent reminder. Very good instructional video. Please continue to develop content.
Thank you! Will do!
are those apartments? looks nice.. where is this?
Ha ha they are condos. St George, UT🤫
Great Video. Solid advice. Although I like option 4 which is outbang the Banger. Fight fire with fire!
Outstanding information. Thanks.
Our pleasure!
I played with serious bangers yesterday on a league that I joined. I honestly thought about quitting pb on the drive home.
😂 Don’t give up! Try implementing these 3 things💪
If you keep your drives deep and low, if you can drop and reset, if you can aim at your opponent's feet, if you can let out balls go, and all that you will beat everybody not just bangers.
😉 I like where your head’s at!
@picklebrainpod How many years of pb practice does it take to master keeping drives low, drops, resets, and aiming at the feet? I've been playing pb for a year and still don't have those skills.
@@AnnMitt I would suggest just drilling these shots over and over. It will be a lot faster than years… You can do it much sooner if you put in the reps!🎉
Great instructions and you kept it simple! Appreciate it👍
Glad it was helpful!
Without realizing it, I’ve been giving bangers so many opportunities to kill the ball. Thank you for the tips!
Feels good to know this was helpful🫡
Why have I been resetting so often? This totally makes sense now
Good stuff!
I thought I knew how to beat bangers but I had a few things wrong… Thanks for getting me out of reset mode!
No worries
