Did we figure out why we get damaged in ACT 2 when we cast spells? Cause it happens to me also and I haven’t figured it out

I just started my “human only, clerics” game, shadowheart made the cut, just barely

I love the defense of the grove fight!!!! Best familiars are; 1) Raven: they can fly long distance and blind which is huge! 2) Cat: when you sneak in they can "Meow" which brings everyone to gather around it, setting up AOEs. Key here is to use the turn based mode. Sacrifice a kitty for a juicy Fireball! Mid-video comment: Lol, you're still not buffing before combat!!!!!!!

When you're using thunderwave look for the text "Target is blocked!" I think that means that the target of the spell won't be pushed forward at that angle. That could be the issue you're having.

With 4 wizards you can actually remedy the only thing that Wizards suck at which is the level 1-4 part. Having few spell slots, being long rest dependent, having low spell attack/save dc (low chance to hit), low defense (no good robes and no light/medium armor) is kind of what makes wizards feel mediocre early on. Once you hit level 5 though it's just all powercreep right up to level 12. With 4 wizards, you can specialize each wizard into a different role and then suddenly they have a lot of spells slots if all they are doing is one thing. This means you don't have to choose between which spells to have available in combat because you can have them all prepared spread out among the wizards. I imagine this will be a very easy run. Very minor challenge level 1-4 and then you'll blast through everything level 5-12.

You're doing great!! I think with all the thunderwave you use, you should try the Grease spell. They slip in the grease and if they get out, thuderwave 'em back in. Grease doesn't require concentration. Intelligence for Wizards which affects spell 'to hit' and enemies 'save chance'. You need a 3x5 card with the following reminders :/ 1. Cast Shield, 2. Cast Longstrider, & 3. Check Memorized Spells. Can't wait for your first Fireball(s)!!!

You cn save the masks in Auntie Ethel's lair by knocking them out with Non-lethal damage and then you have to defeat Ethel and come back to remove the masks off of them. If you remove the masks before defeating Ethel they will die. (I believe bargaining for the hair and letting her escape also counts towards not making them die when you remove the masks)

Using that Void Bomb was genius! You should make a short clip using that. BTW; you can pass through the door if you wear one of the masks. Also, while discussing masks . . . maybe if you get them down to one or two hit points you could sleep them or bonk 'em with your staff with the "Non-Lethal Damage" button switched on. Finally, I didn't know you douse the flames on her cage using Ray of Frost!

She always runs immediately during that fight if you don't find a way to stop her. You can reduce her movement, or lock the stairs so she can't escape.

yo when u use lightining bolt on enemy whos wet use lvl 2 bcs wet doubles dmg (not sure) also disables there resistance to it + lvl 2 adds 1-12dmg i saw youtuber do lightning only run and he talked about this (now i go back to watching full video)

Four Wizards is crazy. You're cantriping like mad! And, after watching you, I'm going to have to use Thunder Wave more. Here's some tips: Auntie Ethel sells 5 water bottles at a time, every rest or level up. They're not too expensive and double Ice and Electrical damage. You need to have one wizard cast LongStrider on everyone. It's a free buff out of combat (Ritual Spell) and lasts to long rest & no concentration. A few extra meters of movement is game changing. Final, tip make sure Shadow Heart picks Glyph of Warding since she's an Abjuration Wizard. The Glyph does good AOE damage (various damage types) or push or sleep AND it restores or adds to your shield.

1:52:32 Cloud of Daggers probably wasn't a good idea, here, you let the owlbear no choice but to jump at you, which obviously wasn't what you wanted. Without this spell, it would have way less interest at risking an opportunity attack and could have stayed in your flaming sphere area of effect ;).

1:40:57 I would say that a grown man wandering around and even casually approaching children while wearing nothing but boots and minimal underwear is indeed definitely suspicious ^^.

Wonderful narrative and editing, and it created a story I loved following along with! The time commitment to playing, recording, scripting, and editing this all together is phenomenal - I hope you're proud of what you made. If you're not already sick of BG3 by this point I'd love to see an all-Druid team of eco-terrorists assault Baldur's Gate!

When characters have the wet condition they also get cold damage vulnerability so like ray of frost will wreck your opponents and slow them down at the same time! You can do some wild carnage as a wizard if you keep your distance.

Am I bad at the game because the only class I can get through the game with on tactician honor mode is rogue? Or are just people playing the road class that badly.

The brown bowl mushrooms will remove parisites also

You're doing great! Your AOE problems will be solved at level 5 with Fire Ball! Also, if you look on the right side of your 'action bar' you'll see a '+' symbol. Click that to increase the width of your action bar (more rows). As you level you'll need more room for all your spells. Finally, Intelligence increases your chance to hit with spells, much like strength or dex for melee classes.

There's nothing weak about wizards...

Most of this game I've figured out myself just by lolking what is craftable wifh what else didn't even know I vould make a bidon untill like my 3rd game and also the armour untill my 4th game so yeah learning alot

What an interesting idea. I personally think it's quite intriguing, since I'm pretty sure that even Gale never was a wizard in any of my runs ( sorry, guys, no offense, but Gale's personality and behavior seem more bardic, to me ; I really struggle to imagine this man stuck in a study, reading books for days, while I have no problem imagining him seeking knowledge the bard's way... and I'm not really found of wizards anyway... if we had access to the scribe subclass, perhaps though ) :p.

You need to make Minthara a wizard. Do non-lethal damage on her at the grove and vouch for her at Moonrise.

You know I haven't tried it, but I bet the "Longstrider" spell would increase the movement distance of your flaming ball. It's also a ritual spell that doesn't cost a spell slot when cast before combat starts and lasts all day.

Good use of control spells! You're going to have fun as you get higher level. And that double thunder wave yeeting was inspired and hilarious! Two tips: the merchant lady you yeeted was a caster and probably has robes for Asterion and if you hit the 'ALT' key near the base of the ladder it'll highlight the key to that door in the basement.

Nothing weak about Wizards...

When you respecced your party you didn't change their stats so like Astarion and Shadowheart currently have low INT which will make them quite useless as wizards. Idk if that's against the rules but I don't believe it is? Great video btw excited to see how this all pans out!

I main a ranger in our co op game and he is usually the last one standing, even with a cleric, a paladin, and a barbarian in the group. You just have to play the ranger smartly. Now I will say that the pets for the ranger are really weak but rangers are not.

Early game wizards are rough with limited spell slots and not a great way to use their bonus action. By act 3 when you have a party of casters wielding level 6 spells I doubt you'll feel very weak unless you decide to really limit your rests haha. But mono class is definitely interesting. I've never done a spellcaster without an accompanying martial class on the front lines to take hits. And your wizards will all compete for the same items.
