you should trigger maybe something thaht when the door was half open its goes direct to open with next key was pushed, close it first or doing the next time again only halfopen is kind of not nice

Hello friends, in order to separate the door frame from the door, you must do the following steps: 1- Import the object. 2- Place the object in the scene (with drag and drop). 3- Open the Modeling window with SHIFT+5 keys. 4- Enter the XForm section. 5- Select the door object in the scene and then click on Split. 6- In the Split window, set the Output Type option to Static Mesh and check the Transfer Materials option, and at the end, click the Accept option. Now the object in the Outliner has separate components.
If you have large collaborative teams or use procedurally generated content at scale you may want to consider World Partition. As of 2024 both Level Streaming and World Partition are part of Unreal Engine LTS. Personally I don't like this Level Streaming workflow at all. It's counterintuitive that Level Streaming is not performed at the pixel level automatically in-engine!, and I can imagine scenarios which attempt to access a Transition Box actor that doesn't exist yet within the current Level Streaming level (ie., engine crash!) or forgetting the handle on- or the placement of a Transition Box (ie., memory leaks), or holding an actor after a transition was made (ie., the pointer to actor returns NULL). Too many edge cases to check here to ensure its proper operation on a workflow which should be performed automatically. Definitely will have to revisit the Unreal source code for this and open up a pull request.
Great tutorial man, I've been trying to implement this in my game but I'm having an issue where my inspect UI is calling like 40 instances of itself and they keep overlapping! I think it might be something to do with the event tick but I'm not sure how to fix it, if you have any suggestions I'd be grateful. Thanks again for the incredible tutorial :)
One more thing to add. Please do smooth camera zoom in and out as I have not seen others do it without using clamp which produces jittery.

Hey there, hopefully this comment gets to ya. These tutorials have been really helpful in making the horror game I'm working on myself, as I believe it is for others. I was wondering if you would ever consider doing an inventory system that stores ammo, health items, guns, etc. etc.? (Kind of like Resident Evil or Silent Hill). I feel your take on something like this would heighten what you're trying to do as a whole with these Horror Game mechanics that you've been showcasing. I myself am stuck on this part of the game, as I am relatively new to Unreal as a whole, but I feel like your take on a system like this would be very helpful!

Rather than a bunch of vector length calculations and branches, why not just make an enumeration and then use a switch on Enum? Or set a Boolean when toggling sprint or crouch on/off?
I like that you go through the entire process after its set up to explain for a second time why you do what you do.

Hello, this is very good, but i have problem with camera in first person. If i walk in crouch my camera just move forward and therefore clips through objects - e.g. a door, wall. Collision test doesnt work too. Can you help?
