Jewellery Box Tidy and An Unexpected Dunelm Delivery!
Loved the hairstyles. Some similar to mine. PS forgot to say i had several - many - bouts of hilighted /lowlights in hair! See you Friday
Hi Linda! Yes, I did the high/low lights thing, too. It was good to look back and remember the stories behind the hairstyles x
O my hair is light brown naturally but i started to go grey early. Since then its been brown, blonder, long, short, permed, blonder, long, short then fully silver grey. Since then ive gone assymetrical cut with purple colour but that is grown out & thinking of going pink now! All around us we have flooding quite serious & the farmers of Lincolnshire are really struggling with crops being under water. Bread will be expensive & in short supply as will lots of veges.
Linda, I have a nephew in Lincolnshire and was worries he was affected, but luckily he wasn't (so far). I really hope that you stay safe and escape the flooding, I can't comprehend how people cope with such devastation. I enjoyed hearing your hair stories x
Well who’d have thought it Linda, I don’t know how I missed this can only think we must have been on holiday, with no internet. I loved it your claim to fame, you should feel proud of yourself, I thought it was lovely, you looked very glamorous, and it will be lovely to show your Grandchildren, good on you. Fabulous ❤ very interesting to see the fashion then and now. X
@@mecraftytoo Thanks Hazel x
Some cracking hair do’s there Linda . As a hairdresser I can remember doing most of them styles on lots of lady’s whether they suited them or not lol. You really suited them especially the lady Di look. Last year when I was stuck in the house after an operation I got a colouring book it was all pictures of Coco Chanel clothes through out the years actually they were postcards you could send not that I ever did . Found it very therapeutic at the time must get it out again. X
@@wendywebster-sv2li Hi Wendy. I enjoyed putting this video together, remembering all those styles I'd almost forgotten! Keep on with the colouring x
Some great hairstyles there, I used to have my dead straight hair permed, now I straighten it!! How times change.
Ditto here, Julie! The irony x
@@DawnG-fz9jh Oh Dawn. I must have got mixed up and called yo Julie. So sorry xx
Thanks for sharing your photos with us. I always enjoy a walk down memory lane and it’s fun to see what you’ve looked like before, and you really do look lovely and are photogenic. I also bought that Babyliss curler after watching Mrs M’s video. I’ve only used it a handful of times (sheer laziness honestly) but I’m glad I got it and think it works well on my hair, which is fine and stick straight normally. But frankly doing anything fancy to my hair is a biannual activity because most of the time I just can’t be bothered. I fell down a rabbit hole last year watching colouring videos and colouring pencil reviews on YT, they are incredibly restful … and addictive 😊 I bought a bunch of books and some pencils, but I’m dreadful about actually using the stuff. I’m so worried I’ll mess it up. Daft isn’t it? I mean really, it’s not like anyone is going to die if I colour something a bit silly. I would absolutely need to reorganise the box of crayons into some sort of rainbow colour order🌈 and I love when people do the colour swatch pages for their various pencil sets, but I don’t have the patience for that either. I would be interested in hearing your views on being a step parent. My mums partner has two kids that were in their teens when my mum and he got together and it was a challenge for her to deal with them. They get on much better now that the kids are grown up now, but it seemed a bit rocky for a while there. Hope you have a super week. Gen
Thank you Gen, I enjoyed your comment. I'm a bit 'get an idea and run with it and buy everything you could possibly need for a new project, whether you know how it works or not'!! Then go off the idea! Good to hear from you and see you soon with another video x
Linda I think you look fabulous in every photo now I'm going to say something...it's not an insult by the way...but if somebody showed me most of these I would have to say you don't look like you in most of them. I think you could work as an undercover person cos you don't even look like the same person in the different photos. You look fab in them you still do. I have never liked getting my photo taken cos I always think they're rubbish and then someone will say "that's a great photo of you" and I think surely I dont look like that, but there you are I must. I love your channel really interesting and not the usual same old as a lot of others. ❤
I'm actually an international agent working undercover - don't tell anyone, Karen! I suppose your hair is the one thing that really changes your appearance, I know what you mean. When I had that short perm, my daughter cried when I cam home as she didn't recognise me (she was two). I'm so pleased you like my videos x
Thanks Linda for showing the different hairstyles you've had over the years. My hair is fine, and yes I have alot of it too. I think that's why I've either had it short, in a bob, permed or long... I've always relied on something that doesn't take too much styling. The first photo you showed when you were fifty is more or less my recent style, but due to at least 6 weekly trips to the hairdresser I'm now growing it out. I hope to have the "old ladies" style 😂 I think it's timeless and so much easier to manage... and fewer trips to the hairdressers as well! I'm fortuneate that I don't need to colour my hair... hairdressers can be so expensive, can't they? 😊 x
Very expensive, Mary, but unless you have a friend that cuts hair, you have to manage it, somehow. Thanks for your thoughts x
@LindaTee70 No, I've never been that fortunate Linda 😊
Hi Linda lovely video ❤❤🥰
Thanks so much, Julie x
Hi linda. You were and still are a gorgeous woman. I loved seeing the photos.❤
Aw, bless you Vicky. My daughter did pick out the most flattering pics (apart from the short perm!) Yikes x
Hi Linda, thank you for showing us your beautiful photos, you are very photogenic. I love the Lady Di hairstyle, it really suited you. Each decade seemed to have it's iconic hair styles, but today, anything goes, really. I am sixty and have long brown hair but wear it up in a bun, it's too hot to wear down around your neck but in Winter it comes in handy 😊 Would love to hear your Step mum stories. Take care ❤❤
Hello Jo and I'm glad you enjoyed sharing my hair-do history! We all had celebs we copied , back in the day. Young people now seem to look much the same. See you again soon x
Loved looking back at your old photos and various hairstyles. You’re a good looking lady Linda definitely photogenic and I swear I could see a resemblance to lady Diana in some of yours pics. Interesting to see how the Lego turned out and your venture into colouring. Think the curl machine you spoke about is a Babyliss Curl Secret Styler, you’ll have to show us how you use it in a vlog xx
Hi and thanks for the nice comment. I suppose loads of us ended up with a 'Di cut' in the 80s. Mine was unintentional! If I ever find that styler, i'll do a piece on it! x
Linda what a lovely video, you certainly were a stunner. I rember having some of those hair dos and also a couple of disasters with diy hair colours 😊 - these days I leave it to my hairdresser and wouldn't dream of dying my hair at home.❤❤
Ah, thanks, Norma. They're all so dated now. I do my own colour and trim my fringe a bit, but all best left to the professionals! x
What the name of the art pencils Linda where did you buy them.
Prismacolour, Michelle and I got them from Amazon x
Hang on a minute what do you mean Prima magazine, what’s that story then Linda, were you a professional model? You certainly look stunning in all of those photos, don’t knock yourself you were, are still, beautiful and your hair always looks stunning. Lovely video. Thank you for sharing. ❤
Hazel, I made a video in June called 'Being an 80s Supermodel for a Day' in June when I was featured in Prima. Go take a look x
@ been and had a look. 👍
Hi Linda. You have had some great hairstyles through the years. I think you are very photogenic ❤xx
@@NannyJeano Thanks Jean and thank you for the mention. My daughter picked the photos, so she left out those where I look like an old crone (and there are loads!). I'm just watching your Q&A and enjoying it ❤️
I got the same Lego set for Christmas - watering can. You were, and still are beautiful.
Bless you Donna x Let me know if you have/had the same problem with the flowers falling out! See you soon
Hi Linda, I subscribed to the channel from the beginning . I notice I am not getting your videos. Any advice? X
Oh, no, Valerie. I'm so sorry you have problems. I must admit this happens to me with people I subscribe to, but I think that's because I haven't clicked the Notification Button (the bell) which should do the trick. Let me know if that works x
@LindaTee70 , I checked the subscription, and it's fine. Your videos are starting to pop up again! Very odd 🤔 x
Hi Linda, so interesting seeing your photos! Your very glamorous! ❤ I have gone through some styles over the years! I have a phobia of cutting my hair as I had very long hair when I was little, then at the age of 9 my mother to me to have it cut short! I was heartbroken, never forgave her lol ❤❤❤ x
That sounds traumatic, Helen, I think we can all empathise with that!! See you soon x
Hi Linda,Really enjoyed looking at your previous hair styles,Amazing how they change our appearance.one photo reminded me of Lady Diana…I think your hair style you have now suits you beautiful colour…Enjoy your picture colouring, will take you a while to get through those books..The pencils look good you have to pay for quality..👍❤
I think you're right Sue, you get what you pay for (usually). Glad you liked my trip down memory lane x
Hi Linda, noticed your glasses straight away they look very nice. You looked very glamorous on your hair photos . Some great styles over the years , thanks for sharing . See you Friday x
Hi Julie and well spotted with the glasses. I think my daughter picked some nice photos, there are many more which aren't as flattering! See you soon x
❤❤
Will I must say what lovely hair and yes you are very photogenic! Your hair always looks lovely 😊
Thanks Caz x
Thanks Linda, have a few photos of similar styles, I think your right when you say that people don’t seem to change styles as much now 😊
Thanks Beverley, I appreciate the comment x
Hi Linda Look good in all the photographs you are very photogenic and all the hairstyles suited you, it was the times when hairstyles changed very often, not so much now. I'm not very good at styling my hair, but I try to keep a little up to date with it. Doing well with the Lego. Keep Colouring. Look forward to friday.
Hi Lindalucia and thanks. I don't bother much now, with my hair. Even my current style makes my arms ache when I blow dry it! I'd better get started on the colouring x
Hi Linda loved looking at your photos!! Good looking lady loved your video yes my hair has always been my thing as long as my hair is looking nice thats it for me! x
Someone after my own heart, Sandra! I'm glad you enjoyed the video x
Hi Linda youre hairstyles were very interesting loved the lego you have given me the idea to try something maybe the floweres thankyou for sharing ❤
Thanks Linda. Do give the Lego a go - there are hundreds of sets to choose from and it's very relaxing for your brain! See you again x
Hi Linda, you looked lovely in all your photos. You definitely are photogenic. I would like to hear about you being a step mum. I think whatever you choose to vlog about is great. I think we are all very lucky and privileged to have you take so much time and effort to make your vlogs for us. Thank you. See you in the next one. ❤
That's a lovely thing to say, Karen, thank you. See you soon x
All your hairdos were really nice and suited you very well.❤
Thanks Karen. It's good to look back. See you soon x
I think back in the 70’s and 80’s we all changed our hairstyles a lot more than young women do today. When we were looking at old pictures my friend said I would win the prize for most different hairstyles 😂. I used to change the colour often too. I’ll be interested to hear how you find your new pencils, I’m going to get my colouring books out again and have a go
I agree, Sheree, people are a bit more conservative with their hair these days. Hope you enjoy your colouring and see you on the next one x
Yes Lynda I did notice you had different glasses on they really suit you ❤️
Thanks so much Loraine x
Hi Linda, great video really good looking at all those different hairstyles, I think that’s something we should all do just to look back at ourselves 😊, I’ve subscribed to IMI as you recommended and her art studio is amazing she is a lovely person, see you Friday 🩷xx
Hi Gail. I'm glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for giving Imi a look. Yes, looking back is probably a good thing from time to time x
Lynda I had a few of those hairstyles back in the day ❤really enjoyed this video and wow very beautiful lady and still beautiful now, you don’t look your age if you didn’t tell us your age i would put you about 60 ❤ your skin is amazing ❤
You're very kind Loraine and I will accept such a kind comment! see you Friday x
@ you will ❤️
Great video through the years Linda thank you for sharing ❤Good luck with a clothing haul there isn’t anything that floats my boat at the moment. Love prismacolor pencils. Enjoy ❤
Thanks you Judith x
Hi there Linda what a lovely video "The way we were" and our hairstyles back in the day-where would we be without our memories.....all the pics of you were stunning, loved all the hairstyles too- really enjoyable video, thank you for sharing. xxJennyxx
I love looking at family photos, Jenny and I'm glad you liked looking at them with me x
Hello again Linda, my current husband is watching snooker. So I'm upstairs watching you.I'm not a footy can either,so I'm banished to the bedroom then. I don't really mind,i like my own space sometimes. Lovely photos Linda, very photogenic
God, snooker, Elaine!? That goes on for ever!! Football's about three hours if you add on the pointless chat. I'm glad you have a little place where you can go to please yourself. x
Hi Linda, Loved the video content, it was interesting to see all the previous styles and colours, must say they all suited you. Take care, see you soon.
Thanks so much, Yvonne, see you soon x
Hi Linda I can tell you took real pride in your hair you had some lovely styles. I’ve never seen you having a bad hair day it always looks lovely. I felt traumatised with my hair as a child , my Uncle was training to be a Barber and my Mum volunteered my thick head of hair for him to practice on…can you imagine they would be calling Childline now 😱, this was around 1960 so there was no such thing as Hair & Beauty Colleges I was a living reluctant model . In all fairness he did have flair he turned me out in some unusual styles I would have loved them had I been a boy!! It was when he got his first Salon I eventually broke free , I didn’t let a pair of scissors near it for years. 😂 xx
Oh, Rita, poor you. I was at the mercy of my mother and her kitchen scissors to cut my fringe - ugh! Sadly, my daughter is traumatised by the fringe cutting I did on her as a child!! See you soon x
Hello Linda . Lovely to see all the little interesting bits and pieces . Your Lego , well done - and the mindfulness coloring books and pencils. So good to follow your hair styles and colours through the years. You are beautiful and your radiant smile hasn't changed at all . Remember the perms and also the photo with your daughter and the photo of you holding the polaroid . You had that Charlies Angel's style haircut ! Straight crown and flicked outwards around the hairline!!!! One of my friends had her hair like that ! I remember using the powdered henna from the Body Shop that you mixed with water and made a paste and applied to the hair . What a mess it made everywhere and stained towels and the bathroom sink ! Blimey ! Thanks Linda x Janette
Good to hear from you again Janette and I'm glad you liked watching the video. Yes, I suppose we all wanted to look a bit like Farrah Fawcett and there's a hint of Lady Diane in there too!! Yep, Henna is best avoided in my book!! See you soon x
There was definitely a Diana and a Farrah Fawcett in there 🎉
I think you're right, Sue x
Hi Linda, good to see you again. I find the idea of that Lego fascinating and had no idea that you could get such pretty things to make. I'm not sure I'd be good with it as I had a love/hate relationship with it when my kids had it, but you've done a lovely job with yours. Regarding hair, when I look back at my past 'do's', they mostly just make me laugh with embarrassment. One thing I remember as a young woman/wife, was that my first husband loved my hair which was shoulder length with a fringe, and now I've ended up with a similar but shorter style now - a 'bob' I suppose, similar to yours. And I now wish I'd stuck with it, life-long, and not messed around with mine too much. In old age, mine's baby fine fuzz which needs a lot of air blowing into it to get some volume. C'est la vie! You on the other hand were a beauty and are very photogenic and you have had some lovely hairstyles. And I agree about photos being benchmarks of our memories, often really happy ones. Massively interested in seeing your Prismacolour pencils. I'm very tempted to get some, but it's a lot to pay if they aren't up to the job. When it comes to being a step-parent I'd love your take on that. I've only recently become a step great grandma, and it's unexpectedly turned out to be a joy. There's something quite special when a child who isn't really invested your life decides he likes you and stops by your chair suddenly, for a cuddle. So yes, I'd love to hear about your more involved experience. Thanks, and see you on Friday!
Thanks for your thoughts on the video, it's always good to read your comments! I had a quick test of the pencils and they seem nice, but I'll mention how I'm getting on with them and you can have a think if you fancy trying some. See you Friday x
Hi linda loiked seeing your different hairstyles over the years thankyou for showing them take care x
Thanks for watching, Hilary x
Hi Lynda, lovely video you were a stunner I’m not saying your not now lol , I had a few of your hair styles they were clearly our era I’m 69 I love looking back at hair and fashion and on your wedding day I nearly had a floppy hat that’s what they were called in our day but I ended up having a hood . See you next time. Xx 😊
Thanks Shirley. I'm sure I replied to this comment, but can't see it. Anyhoo, I appreciate your thoughts but think I'm a bit more stunned than stunner! see you Friday x
Hello Linda, I love looking through photos - not of me, but of my family. I think you've got lovely hair. The third photo reminds me of a 'Diana' look... Enjoyed the video ❤
Hi Angela! Yes a bit of Diana and a bit of Farrah Fawcett's influence, I'd say! Thanks for watching x
