Hi Linda, your outside decorations are lovely, the little tree you have under your arch in the garden is like my little tree I have in my living room, I sent a picture to my two daughters, and my youngest one (36) said " Is it your Christmas tree mum" 🤣😂. Putting decs & trees up is so tiring & backbreaking. I posted all my cards that job is done. Our youngest grandchild - almost 10 - still believes ....just! So presents for her topped up with money. All the other 4 just have money, a very small present & 1kg bag of smarties or similar. Our kids get money or something g between them that they need. Our decs will be done at tge weekend. Love your Elfie. Then presents to wrap ready to deliver (unseen of course) the week before xmas when we go to see grandaughter for her birthday. Got our first Xmas lunch with art class next week & babysitting grandson nearly 12 as his big brother is in Germany & mum & dad out to a concert. See you Friday x

I put my trees (2) up and my decorations today all in one go!!! My back is killing me but enjoying the results. I really do think this may be the last year when I do quite so much. I’m 71 in a couple of weeks so blaming it on my age. Always enjoy your videos. Lots of love xx

Hi Linda, I'm happy to report that I'm well ahead with my Christmas shopping this year. I even have my hairdresser's gift wrapped and was going to drop it off this morning and then thought it was far too early and I'll wait until next week. Makes a change from the usual scramble at the last minute. But it's not a major event for me anyway now. I've scaled back and I'm in that bracket of secondary gift givers too, as family keep reminding me, and I do think they're right really. The little ones already have a granny and I'm just that shadowy figure they can't work out who turns up on public holidays.... 😃 Oh yes, I too wake in the night and don't ever sleep well now. I'm a major irritation to all, reading books, watching UA-cam, making tea, visiting the loo, and even the occasional baking of a cake or two if it's a very bad night. I reckon the only way to work through that video bashfulness is to make yourself to go out there and do it. I worked through that when I took up photography in anger. For some reason when you go out encumbered by a lot of photo equipment and a long lens or two, you acquire a lot of quizzical looks and comments. And it is off-putting. But I've got better over time. You're being very modest about your decorations. They are a triumph! 'Oh just a bit of greenery' she says, 'nothing special'. They're lovely, you must be exhausted doing all that! I loved the decorations in the garden most of all I think. It felt so peaceful and calm all lit up.... until that blooming elf...... 🤣 What a treat he must be for the little ones. A very vocal reminder that it's the festive season. They must love him and I'm all for a bit of fun! Overall, really lovely and it does make me feel much more Christmassy! So thank you so much for taking us around. Looking forward to your question session. Talk about putting yourself on the spot, but you'll be great I'm sure!
