Hi Linda, great to catch up and I was so happy to see your cookery session, which was as entertaining as your last one. Your comments about cooking made me reflect that that's the trouble with men really, they actually do want to thrill the pants off you, but then they want to eat afterwards, darn it. It really is so boring, day after day, not even really the cooking but what to have??? I get so fed up with that thorny issue! And you served it all up with a helping of spider horror! So funny. Linda, you didn't really harm him, like Incy-wincy he will have survived his little wash, so don't feel badly! I love your down to earth approach to cooking, and the lovely thing about having been a cook and bottle washer for a lot of years, is that you can instinctively add what you like without thinking you are breaking someone else's 'code' about what should or could go into a dish. And how much does it make? Loads! I just loved that too! The end result looked smashing and I'm sure was delicious! On to your sister and her story. I would feel really privileged if you shared it with us but of course, only if you are truly comfortable with it. I'm the sort of person who loves to hear about other human beings. We all have our own stories and I find them helpful, sobering, inspirational and an entire range of emotions. I think it's the best way to learn about other people's struggles. We all have them. So it's a big 'yes' from me, if you are comfortable with it. Sorry Linda... rambling on again.....
