Hi Jude, try and get two ratchet straps because you can tie stuff down with them and you can make handles with them, much easier to hold stuff than giving sheets of boards a piggyback. Ɓe aware the dark colour of paint will make the room feel smaller than possible clostraphobic (not spelt right), lighter colours open spaces and feel better.❤

10 years ago I downsized dramatically and despite filling my local Charity shops I arrived with 207 packing boxes. one horse, four shetland ponies, three sheep, two feral cats and seven dogs Im still unpacking boxes!!

You have a meadow there, if I were you I'd give it over to the bees, let it grow & just cut paths through it, I bet it would be beautiful. I know you are going to dig some up for veg & have chickens (i've left a comment elsewhere about chickens, a worse tie than dogs!). You're very funny, your videos are a joy.

Not sure what benefit you gain from removing the storage boxes which someone obviously made for the exact same reason as you are putting up curtains, to hide the storage. You could have papered or painted them or even stuck on material. Assuming the electrics are ok up there, some form of heating and possibly a second hand double glazed window should make it habitable.

I'm watching right now you struggle with the sheet of MDF and wondering: does your shop not cut it? I don't build furniture myself, but people in my life have and most of the time they will order a sheet of MDF already cut into elements of the necessary size (or a little larger, to trim to fit), not those completely whole and unwieldy sheets
