Great view and build! I am currently sourcing one of these kits. I haven't built an armoured kit in years, but recently, I've been thinking of building a Chieftain, so this video has motivated me. I have a significant stash of models and I haven't done any modelling in five years now, so this will kick start me I think. I've seen the Chieftain in action up close and personal whilst on Ex on Salisbury Plain in 1991. I was in the reserves for 18+ years. My Coy position was on either side of a tank track route. Two Chieftains 'blitzed' our position, one of them locked it's main armament on to my 3 man fire trench- as it motored past, the tube was pointing directly at me- it was quite a 'mesmerising' sight I can tell you. The ground vibrated and the snarl of the engines was something I will not forget. Some beast the Chieftain!

Tanks are easy to build? Lol you should specify Tamiya tanks are easy to build, I'm building a RFM stug 3 right now and just one track is 93 single links to put together

I had ordered this kit off Ebay last week, but the dispicable driver seems to have stolen it. UPS wouldn't make it right, so I had to reorder through Kitlinx. I should be getting it next week. If you're in the US, don't have anything shipped UPS, because you might not receive it.

That's a great tip, thanks.As someone else mentioned I got some natural colours for landscapes from 'The Works' and they are all earth colours.

The Sherman looks like a perfect build and the Torcross memorial was very moving, thankyou.

Small tip regarding the revell glue nozzle..... If it gets blocked, simply burn off the residue and it clears the nozzle within seconds. It doesn't spoil the glue, but beware the metal remains hot for a minute or two, so let it cool down before use.

I think all Vallejo paints need to be thinned before using them in your airbrush.

that is a Mk2, Mk5 has a NBC BOX on the back of the turret that one only has a air filter box.

One of Tamiya’s best kits, the engineering is flawless and is a pleasure to build almost no effort in putting it together, excellent model for beginners also.

What is the spray you keep using after doing the glue? (Superglue activator?)

Haveing a real hard time with Mine trying to get the upper and lower halbes of the hull to fit properly ! How did you handle that ??

Setting solutions go on under the deal, solvents go on top. I avoid using Tamiya decals, they are usually crap but applying a rag on top dampened with hot water helps.

Das Boot is an excellent movie/miniseries. I’m happy to see that there is a model to commemorate Das Boot. Revell needs to improve their QC.

You need to fit it 50-50 with their thinner and it'll work perfectly and you're gonna have to do very light layers and do about five or six. I've done eight models with this aluminum never had a problem.
