I was wondering if the vac was gunna blow up due to soaking up Vapor’s 😵‍💫😂……from the sparks from the motor……could imagine the vac exiting the stratosphere 😎👌🏽

I hate to be the one that sours the fun, BUT........ WTF.....that is a 🦄. Tank should be off , fuel lines replaced. If you need to start it use a external fuel supply. You really don't know what you have. Clean it and sell it. Let someone who knows what they are doing give it the respect it deserves.

Don't worry about the fuel socks on the pickup pipes. All the muck will be on the outside of them, the inside is the clean side.

I definitely think cleaning up the mouldy interior was a good move, you really don't want to be breathing in spores. I'm looking forward to seeing the improvements to the car & your production quality, just don't get too hung up on fancy camera angles, no need for sweeping drone shots just yet 😉

Lovely looking fuel! Nice progress. Could unplugging fuel pumps and float cause the ECU to stop sparks/injectors? Just a thought. Keep going, I'm enjoying it.

Loved to use of a cut up pop bottle, I do the same when an emergency funnel is needed 👍. My only concern going forward, is that since it has a steel fuel tank ( was expecting alloy to keep the weight down) is that if this car is going to be stood for any length of time todays fuels will create more water in the tank, if it's driven regularly then it's less of an issue, perhaps instead of cleaning / refurbing that tank consider an alloy one?. great vid as usual , thank you.

Dont ever try to vacum a fuel tank with a normal vacum? You are pulling stuff through an electric motor. Even if it is evaporated it will still contain flammable gases.

Which company did you buy that fuel evacuation pump system from ? That works so great ! The fuel tank came out do clean after you finished it. It was like new! How long was the fuel in to look like that ? Did it smell stale ?

Wow I can’t believe the size of those Fuel containers. They are soooo small! The size of our Orange or milk containers here in the U.S ! You must get so many looks though from the Corvette in England though. I don’t remember seeing any there and that was London I visited a few times.

Hello, I looked at reference DTC codes for my C6 Z06; looks like camsensors of cranksensor related to the display and ecu or their wiring. I also included a link showing all the sensor's and plug's to/from the intake manifold of Your C5 LT5. ======================= What does the P0016 OBD-II code mean? When a P0016 OBD-II generic code is triggered, it alerts the driver that the camshaft position sensor (CMP) for bank 1, which detects camshaft rotation, is not corresponding to the crankshaft position sensor (CKP) signal The OBD-II code P0335 is a generic diagnostic trouble code that stands for “Crankshaft Position “A” Circuit Malfunction.” The code is set when your car's primary computer-also known as the powertrain control module (PCM)-is unable to detect a signal from the crankshaft position sensor. What Does the P0336 Code Mean? Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P0336 stands for “Crankshaft Position Sensor “A” Circuit Range/Performance.” This engine code is set when the PCM receives a signal from the crankshaft position sensor that deviates from specification. you might also want to check if you have oil pressure, the LT5 will not fire unless the ecu sees a certain amount of oil pressure

I’m loving what you’re doing guys but PLEASE no colour change! Keep it standard. The car is too rare and special not to stay factory. That’s where the value is. Leave the restomod for a plain C4. Think about C3’s 30 years ago. Special models need to be factory standard.

I also give the opinion to keep it stock. I was surprised that you guys didn't replace the coil packs while the plenum was off. Unless they're extremely expensive, I'd have thrown a set on while in there. Maybe it's on your punchlist of items once running?

Love the content guys, ex-pat yank living in Australia enjoying watching true car guys embrace the simple enjoyable American sports cars. They punch well above their price point and may not have all the bells, whistles and finished interiors of the European cars but there is a charm in it that most overlook.
