I fixed mine with some #0 washers under the top layers and now it actually operates. I’m sure this looked good on paper but the tolerances are wrong. Rookie mistakes in my opinion. The material thicknesses were probably slightly under what he was aiming for on paper

Knife was never intended to be filled with dirt for operation . Take any utility knife on the market fill it with dirt and see what happens. You would need to take it apart and clean it. Focus you Fuck.

Here the problem im running in to. Im trying to use a subsoiler or ripper and when i get the depth i want to rip the dang draft control keeps lifting my arms till im only 10inches deep. My mahindra 6075 dont have a pin to lock the draft sensing bracket from moving. Wish it did. So enless im missing something in setting the draft control its usless for me to try ripping

Perhaps 2 opposing neodymium magnets will do the job instead of a spring.

I got that same tractor except all i do is mowing with the brush hog. Trying to figure out which setting to set that draft at.

I changed a/c compressor , dryer ,condenser and evaporate core and still not cold enough what else I can do it thank you

No guesses on my end. Where do you find this stuff. I use to go to auctions and flea markets with my dad and I learned quite a bit from that. But wow you find some very unusual stuff. The alligator adjustable wrench made me think about a video someone did on tools from temu. They had a wrench that looked like that however it was not adjustable. They tried it on modern 6 sided bolts and it failed miserably. So they are still selling that style wrench.

What you really need is a self adjusting draft control lever that changes its position depending on the level of the ground. The draft control lever should then automatically be in the high position (less depth) on the the low parts of the field and conversely on the low position (more depth) on the high parts of the field so as to dig deeper on the high parts to gather more soil and then dump it in to the low part of the field with less soil. You have two choices, do it manually by dropping and lifting the implement using position lever depending on which part of the field you are at or hire another implement like automatic laser leveller that you attach to the tractor and it does that for you.

Ear Tag Pliers 👍 I actually used The Elgin about a month ago when I got a wire brush stuck on the angle grinder, it was the only thing handy thin enough to get in there, worked like a charm........Oh and I'm half awake and already forgot if you said there was a giveaway this week but just in case "Enter me".

Not sure on the brand, but pretty sure it is pliers for ear tags for animals.

The next one looks like ring pliers, either for making a cage or ringing a hogs nose.

Could the jaws on the elgin wrench be for cleaning out threads some way?

Enter Me 👍 This one is particularly easy since I have one hanging in my workshop and see it almost everyday. "The Elgin" adjustable alligator wrench made by Star mfg. patented 1897. I also have some info on Archive showing some pictures with the different accessories and wooden case that you could get with it uploaded there. Never could find out how many years they were made for but seems at least until 1930 and some changes were made over the years, mine is in almost perfect condition and also right on the jaw says "Extra Jaw 25¢"

Looks like an adjustable alligator wrench. When I looked that up these did pop up but were only called an adjustable wrench. An old brochure shows the hole on the other end being used for thread cutting dies and some maybe for a ratcheting wrench. I guess I'll try the giveaway so enter me.

Please do one thing. Move the check valve. There is to much air volume for it to bleed off by the time the pump turns on. If you don't fix that then the motor might burn up. It should take about 30 seconds to bleed off all the air from the head of the pump. If not then there will be pressure on the piston when the motor starts a that will draw more amps and eventually burn up the windings in the motor. First symptom of this is air always blowing through the unloader and tripping the over load on the motor. Good job on saving around 1,500 to a grand on a refrigerated dryer.

I get thrown out wheelbarrows from the local dump. I use just the metal tub. When it wears out or gets so damaged I use another one.

Polish the large side surface where the round button is sliding on. Problem solved for me.

I just found your channel after watching one or two others review the cutter. I like your take on it best. You have inspired me to take mine apart and do a better job on the fit and finish. I'm also going to try propane instead of MAPP gas. (if I can find some,,, I got hooked on the MAPP heat a while back for copper plumbing). I carried mine in my pocket for a week or so after assembly and noticed the screws loosening. Two came out and disappeared. Now it is out of pocket and waiting for the refinish and reassembly, this time with a drop of blue lock-tite for each screw. Thanks for all of your helpful hints. A lot of the joy of owning this is the assembly process, some of it is in the using of the thing. It is not for everyone, that's for sure.

Could that be a pliers to open up links of decorative lighting chain? I've seen a few that look very similar to them.

At one of my first jobs my boss had a mechanical tachometer. It had a clock spring, and you turned it letting more of the spring stick out of the tach. I had never seen anything like it before then. I picked up a stihl branded digital tack that you hold near a plug wire or it has a wire with a alligator clip that you can clip on the plug wire for remote use. The spring tach and the digital were pretty close. I am going to try and win the proto stud socket and if I don't win it I am going to see if I can buy one. It's much more compact than some of the others I have and it's so simple. I think it's worth having in my tool arsenal. Can't wait to see what the new tool is used for. I think I've seen them before but I can't place where or what it's used for.

Some clever minds back in the day making some clever little gadgets like that vibration tach. If they could accomplish the Manhattan Project back then we should all have our flying cars by now.........Only thing I came up with on the mystery tool is one place calling them "Automotive Spring Expanding Pliers".
