They still make and sell those scrapers. I saw it on JDTco (jersey discount tool company. They have a UA-cam channel and Nick featured them on one of his videos. He said he remembers seeing his dad or grandfather having one in the truck shop when he was a kid. They work great because they are semi flexible on the scraping end. The other thing that you are saying is to lock up your trailer hitch. That makes sence. When I saw it on the last video it made me think of a fifth wheel hitch pin that might fit into the saddle of the hitch and then lock in place. That being said I couldn't think of a reason why you would need to put something in the hitch on the truck end. Plus I don't know how it compared size wise. I enjoy the thingamajiger stuff as well as your other content. Keep going and soon you will be at vidcon.

The last two you showed might be a comb for the coils on an AC unit it appears to be adjustable for various size coils or fins on the coil
That red one you thought was a lock may be an early camper fifth wheel adapter for a fifth wheel
