      @darrensmith4661 this is a 100w panel it produced 3.5 -4.5 amps when flat and just over 7 amps when on an angle I paired that with a 120w solar blanket and together we're putting it out roughly 15amps

    May seem like a silly question, but would it be better to mount the trans cooler in front of the hot side of the intercooler? Only ask since pdi recommend to do so with theie intercooler/transmission cooler kirlt.

    • @OUTBACKDiscovery
      @OUTBACKDiscovery 3 дні тому

      @MrAxellllll hello the trans cooler is infront of the intercooler And mounted as per mounting brackets provided You want the transcooler to be the first thing hit by the water

    • @MrAxellllll
      @MrAxellllll 3 дні тому

      @OUTBACKDiscovery my bad. I probably should have worded it better as I know that it should be in front of the intercooler. I mean, shouldn't it be on the other side of the intercooler where the hot air enters so that the cold side of the intercooler doesn't get heat soak from the trans cooler?

    • @OUTBACKDiscovery
      @OUTBACKDiscovery 2 дні тому

    Hey mate, just wanted to see how the car is going now and if it’s worth doing? I have a 2021 BT50 and doing the same thing with towing, haven’t fitted a trans cooler yet but going to and wanted to know if it’s worth doing intercooler at the same time.

    • @OUTBACKDiscovery
      @OUTBACKDiscovery 19 днів тому

      hey mate merry Christmas , Phil swears by the intercooler/ trans cooler combo, if your budget only allows the one would definitely pick the trans cooler over the intercooler.. but if you have room to do both its definitely worth doing specially if your going to get yourself a basic towing tune or something in the future Gives the tuner more to work with, not sure how it goes put on a stock dmax as phil got me to do this trans cooler and intercooler together and then it went straight to the tuner. his tranny temps sit at around 70-85 degreees when towing his mdc 13+ and he uses around 11.5 ltrs towing on average ( 13litres on head win and 10ish with tail wind ) when we last spoke about fuel consumption. day to day driving he sits around at 8.5

    Great video! Very detail oriented and simple. I have a question, i have had my 06 LR3 for almost 4 years now and I drive it in manual/sport mode because if you drive it in drive when it shifts from 4th to 5th it slips/jerks pretty good like there is a delay in shifting. In manual mode it wont do it as long as you let off the gas between the shift. When it does happen in sport mode, it will go from 4th and jump into 6th and you cant shift back down for around 7 seconds, after 7 seconds goes by you can then shift back down to a lower gear. I have no clue what is causing the slipping but it has not got any worse in the 4 years I've had the vehicle. I was thinking about maybe hooking it up to the GAP tool and resetting the shift adaptations but im nervous about doing that. I've heard some people do it with success and others say its a no no...🤷‍♂️ Any ideas??

      I dont think just resetting adaptations will do anything for you. Go search ZF6HP26 transmission and you will find the answer. Most likely bridge seals, tube seals, oil and filter. If I was you, I would spend the extra money and do solenoids and zip kit whilst your in there. Once you've done all that, you can reset adaptations and do a relearn procedure. This solves 90% of these transmissions problems. If you still have problems after that, it's transmission rebuild time.

      @jarredStanton-ed1iu I'd be taking it back mate and getting it sorted Rattle could be a worn thrust bearing slipping in gear after a new clutch definetly warrants taking it back

    You can stop the pulley turning by using an oil filter tool (the sort that has a metal band that can be tightened around the filter). It works better if you brace the bolt with a socket (1/4 AF is a better fit than 7mm) and turn the pulley with the tool, if you see what I mean.
