I bet you capture some amazing shots. 👍 I think a lot of it psychological with respect to my approach. I used to sell newspapers when I was kid. Shouting out to the public to buy the evening paper. lol 😂 it’s stuck with me. Over the years I’ve had people come up to me after they’ve seen me take their photo being a camper/ fisherman type of photographer and have asked me what was it all about ? I noted that since I started calling out after I’ve taken the shot. Most people will either smile and continue about their business and those that don’t want me to capture their image will abruptly stop and ask me if I could delete the picture, which I do immediately, in front of them. That’s not the main reason I call out though. I have thought to myself, what would these people be thinking? Why is he taking my photo? I figured some people might not have the courage to ask me what I’m doing, but might be wondering, who am I? So I just feel more comfortable letting them know that I’m just a hobbyist having fun with my camera. If I didn’t use a flash I’d probably say nothing. Thanks for watching and commenting 😎✌️

Hi✌️and congratulations! I totally agree. It feels very uncomfortable (at times) when you take a camera in the street nowadays considering most people use their phones to make a photograph. The biggest tip I can give you about overcoming fear of photographing in the street, is to ask a friend to be your model and bring them along with you on your next street- shoot in a crowded street. Ask them to walk around the street at a slow pace with you following behind documenting their journey by photographing them along the way. By the end of the day, I think you will feel comfortable taking photographs in a public street. Don’t forget to have fun.😎 thanks for your comment👍

Hey thanks for watching and taking the time to comment😎. I can't take the credit for this style of Street Photography. I actually picked up the idea about eight years ago studying a great American Photographer named Philip-Lorca diCorcia. To the best of my knowledge he was the 1st to introduce this style of Street Photography? I’m also inspired by another great American artist named. Gregory. Crewdson he creates some absolutely awesome conceptual type pictures. I added my own flavour to the mix I guess. As for calling out “street Photographer“ I’m pretty certain when I photograph somebody using flash in the street they probably are aware that I’ve taken their photo, so I only think it’s courteous of me to let them know that I’m a street Photographer just in case they’re wondering why did that guy just take my photo? ✌️

Hi, yes it is possible to shoot both JPEG and RAW at the same time with the ZV-1, however as you have mentioned it appears you cannot use a picture profile/effect when shooting Raw. I use the creative style setting, changing between black-and-white and colour. Hey thanks for your question.✌️

Hi, thanks for your question. I’m so used to shooting in single frame mode. I often forget about burst mode though if I wasn’t using a flash I think that’s the way to capture pictures in burst mode 👍 I use the flash camping at a scene for a good period of time, I just chill out/wait and leave the camera in single frame mode. As for flash and burst mode. In most instances the flash won’t fire in burst mode because the flash needs time to recharge between flashes. ✌️

G’day Alex, congratulations acquiring your new gear you are going to have a lot of fun once you sort out the coupling for the flash to the GoPro bracket and get finally do some Off Camera flash Photography - for sure! 😎 I’ll include a segment in my next video upload showing my coupling. In the meantime if you want to do your own search type in to Google :- “Adapter 1/4”’ screw to GoPro - two prong coupling” it should cost approximately between $5 -$10. Good question I like to shoot in black-and-white most of the time, I feel I am able to better judge my exposure in B&W. I shoot in both RAW and jpeg formats and I then choose which picture I prefer to see in colour as opposed to black-and-white prior to posting. G’day thanks for watching my video and asking a great question. 😎 In my opinion the Sony ZV-1 is the ideal Street Photography camera today! I’ve found the auto focusing to be very reliable and extremely fast. The LCD rear screen is okay. I’ve managed with it for a few years, however I’d love to see in a future model a view finder. ✌️

G’day Richard! Lucky you having a voice activated lights stand! lol! 😂 I can only wish!!! I agree with you regarding the LightPix labs flash Q20 II. They definitely seems to be a connection issue between the transmitter and the receiver when in a built up area like in the Melbourne CBD unfortunately. I’ve noticed out of town. The little flash it works flawlessly. So I’m presuming it’s Bluetooth pollution in built-up areas. That cause the problem? Thanks for watching and commenting😎✌️
