- Every Street Photographer really needs to try this awesome Street Photography technique, at least once!
I came-up with my method of off-camera flash, only after trial and error over many years of frustration looking for a simple, safe and practical way to get my flash off camera, allowing me to capture a studio lighting look in my photos captured in the street, on a public sidewalk in high foot-traffic areas, without fear of creating a trip hazard when using a light stand on the street and It also helped me overcome any fear I had of using a flash (off camera) in public.
Photographer you should (at least once) give it a go and If you do, I'll bet you will be hooked (just like me 😙) using this technique of "Off Camera Flash-" for sure! It's simple and effective👍
Hey, I'm starting a new Street Photography series...yep as of now. This is our first episode...let's call it the "introduction" to our new Street Photography series.

In the next episode we will be shooting pictures at various locations throughout the Melbourne CBD and I will run (vlog) through my thought process and all the specifics of my street photography - using my off camera flash method, one picture at a time. I'll also cover my main camera settings for each scene/shot (POV-style ) including my scene selection at the time we capture the pictures, so you should be able to transfer my settings to your own camera making it easy for you to capture a similar look (if desired) to my shots when you are out doing street photography.
You can even practice my flash method at home inside or outdoors, the lighting technique is the same.
I've found my method of off camera flash makes for some really cool looking food photography shots as well!.

In a lot of countries you would not be allowed to show the photos unless people signed for it. One I can think of most is the province of Quebec in Canada. Even news photographers can't show people on the street unless they get a signed agreement.
Wow! That’s pretty tough on Street Photographers! I live in Australia😎 our laws seem to be more favourable for Street Photography if what you say is correct?

In the UK, as long as you are on public property, you can photography anything or anyone. Obviously a degree of common sense
is needed.
