Let’s do some Street & Outdoor Portrait Photography in Melbourne with the Sony ZV 1 & off camera flash.
This video was filmed over two days, we get to meet, interview and photograph some truly beautiful people in the Melbourne CBD.

What is the magnetic bracket you use to position the flash called? Thanks 👍
G’day Paul! I’m glad you liked the video and thanks for your positive comments.👍
The bracket I use is the GoPro magnetic mount connected to a 1/4 male coupling - to - GoPro bracket fitting, to mount the flash Q 20II flash. More information on my mounting setup in my previous videos… if you have time to watch them. I hope this information helps you.
Paul I will tell you this…once you start shooting “off camera flash “” particularly utilising the method that I do, I bet you’ll get addicted to it just like me 😂 you’re gonna have a lot of fun 😎✌️

I have the Godox ad200 at the min and am looking to do some OCF street portraits.

@paulfarley8023 g’day Paul I also own the A.D.200. It’s a reliable flash. I started with that but the problem is it’s a little heavy, not suitable to mount it away from the camera in the CBD on a magnetic mount. As for the FlashQ 20 II, the only issue with it I’ve found is it has a problem connecting with its transmitter/ trigger in certain parts of the Melbourne CBD? When I try it at Home in the suburbs, it works well and has a really good range between the transmitter and receiver but in certain parts of the city, I can be a few feet away and It won’t trigger? I suspect it’s interference from other Bluetooth devices in town but I’m not a technical radio man so I don’t really know for certain why it occasionally won’t sync. Apart from that I’m very happy with the little FlashQ especially because the small trigger size. It’s so small and lightweight. Perfect for the ZV-1. ✌️

@@paulfarley8023 I tried exactly that method Paul with an ad200 and found the flash was too heavy and difficult to direct at the time but give it a go. 👍

G’day Tim, 😎✌️I use the GoPro 10 and recently I picked up the DJI pocket 3. I’ve found the pocket 3’s image quality to be outstanding. They both have a place in my filmmaking. thanks for watching👍
