For me the relation between Poland and Germany is an excellent example of how ultimate enemies can start to live together in freedom in the age of the "global village". I was this year in Armenia and Azerbaijan. They can't stop fighting. I just said to one of the Azers - look at us - in the world wars milions of Poles and Germans killed each other, but this is over, we don't want each other's territory anymore, we just want to trade, build the economical success together - yes, within the EU concept. That's why when Poland capitulated some cities still were fighting, because Germans destroyed most of the post offices (or at least the most important ones, like the one in Gdańsk).
