    Hi Louise, I have become a little obsessed with Joomchi and momigami lately lol. Binge watching your videos on both techniques and following closely but I always need to rewatch because I feel I'm missing parts of the process. Experimenting with both methods is so much fun ❤ Is it ok to let the papers dry in between layers or is essential to move on to the next stage immediately? As in the concertina and wetting? Hope my query makes sense?

    • @LouiseJannetta
      @LouiseJannetta 6 днів тому

      Hi Sandra. When you make the lacy Joomchi it is best to dampen the paper layers, making sure there are no air pockets, and then concerntina the papers - roll them up and keep them in a plastic bag for 12 hours before you start the kneeding. I think it can be left damp as all the fibres are softened but not so long as the paper doesn't go mouldy. I have dried out the paper and then reworked it, and this does appear to work, but you need to dampen and kneed the papers untill they reach that point when they will felt again. I have to admit I am also learning as we progress but the above it what i have experienced so far. I hope all this helps. Many thanks for watching and all the very best, Louise X
