Thanks for watching! I have been trying to felt all these pieces together but am not quite managing it. I will show the results but must keep experimenting with the process and the possibilities. I think I was just too ambitious at this stage.
This one is a bit of a repeat but I needed to see how this method turns out. It will take a while to sort the leak, though it has stopped of course. Thanks for asking. Keep well and all the best, Lou

@@LouiseJannetta I follow you, and you give me so much inspiration for my own art..I can´t wait to get started, there is so much to try..I´ve seen almost all your posts/videos ...love what you do...With Love, Kirsten Kolditz..;-)
🙏🏾Thank you so very much for sharing these videos. I just learned about joomchi & am so excited to start exploring it. Your videos are so helpful. I’m off to the shops today to find mulberry paper. I hope to combine joomchi with my quilt making in different ways. Thanks again!
My pleasure. And the combination sounds great. I love the way they produce something that questions the boundaries between papers and fabrics x enjoy x
Louise I am so excited ...have just done my very first piece of Joomchi . It is so beautiful and I love how the light shines through . It is drying at the moment in the late Autumnal sunshine . Not a clue what I can to do with it ,awaiting inspiration . Obviously need to order lots of mulberry paper . Two thing I found helpful for me was to use cellophane to work on and a roll of cling film made a great rolling pin to smooth it out after each scrunching . Sending you the biggest thank you for sharing your technique . Where do we go from here ?
Hi Sue, great to hear that you are inspired. The technique has loads of possibilities, and I will work through a number of ideas and post them. The papers resulting from just simple combinations of papers make fantastic journal covers as the papers are so strong. You can also make wallets and pouches from them. Good luck X😃
Hi Louise! This is a really beautiful video thank you. I wanted to know how it reacts when it dries, does it become hard and brittle or is it fabric like and supple ? and on a level of strength, how would you rate it?
Thanks for watching. The one I made was stiff and strong in places. If you practised and gained experience, I am sure you could make the strength consistent. It could also be sewn together, lovely stuff XXX😀
Something new for me to try!! THANK YOU!!! Ontario, Canada.
Hope you enjoy
Fascinating process! Tfs your time and energy in your videos! Laura ❤

No it seems that just mulberry paper behaves like this. It is worth the effort. XX😀
