    This was so good to watch. I have had my unit for a few years now and just saw you can whip cream and grate the cabbage for coleslaw with the carrots. I have always used the adjustable blade. I never thought of grating it. You really have made my life so much easier. Thank you.

      What a lovely comment, thanks so much! Yes it's a GRATE machine, I use it at least weekly if not more often (I made up a batch of cheese straws in mine with the quad blade just yesterday - cheese, butter, flour, milk, whizz, roll, cut, bake!).

      Ooh a kitchen renovation, how exciting. I lived off paper plates and a hotplate while mine went on, hope it's going well. Let me know how the Magimix is.

      @@jstones9872 we had ours done (the one you see in the videos) mid lockdown: no restaurants open and you couldn't go round other people's for dinner! Was quite an ordeal.

    I dont like to put my good kit in the dishwasher. It tends to rip the guts out of anything. My Nutribullet cups look like frosted glass now. I have to say that your processor bowl looks in good condition for having been in the dishwasher. On to my tip - because I hand wash and because that quad blade is super sharp, i perform a prewash by putting a drop of washing up liquid in the bowl with a couple of cms of water and then whizz for a few seconds. Then, it's usually just a case of rinsing under the tap. The good thing about the sage is that it has that rubber seal. With my Magimix, I have to be mindful of leakage around the lid.

      That's a fair judgement. I take strict care of my dishwasher, using a high quality detergent and clean it monthly because (a) I spent a lot of money on it (b) I hate washing up by hand! So I've managed to avoid the 'frosted glass' look. Great tip on washing it - I do the same for my blender so not sure why I hadn't thought of it here! Wish I'd put that in my video now.

    Thanks for the video! How often do you need to replace the attachments? Or it is possible to sharpen them?

      @BigSpud  Місяць тому +1

      I've had this over ten years and not felt the need to sharpen.

    Off to research if I can buy this here! This seems way more versatile than the food processors I'm used to.

    Do you think i can make chickpea flour with it? I'm going crazy looking for a good food processor, but i have read a lot of reviews and can't make a decision because there are tons of pros and cons with everything i find 😓

      Can I make chickpea flour with my food processor? #kitchenappliance

      Short answer: no. I would buy a cheap spice / coffee grinder. It should do the job much better.

    I've recently purchased one. Just under £240 on Amazon on offer and was able to get 0% finance on it over 12 months, can't complain! I would have liked to be able to purchase the peeling and dicing attachments seperately but I read that they're not compatible?

    • @BigSpud
      @BigSpud  9 місяців тому

      Ooh that is a cracking deal! I hope you enjoy and feel free to ask questions. I don't believe they are compatible no, I've looked into it myself. Definitely can't justify buying another (very similar) machine just to try those tools!

    Hey Gary, superb video and gadget review! This looks similar to my Bosch which are got rid of but it didn't have half the gadgets or functions. The gadget storage cabinet is superb but may struggle storing that somewhere. These top tips are truly amazing and I've never used it for these. My problem is that my channel is mainly vegan and health, so these are limited, other than the veg slicing and breadcrumbs. The mayonnaise tip was great too, I did try making Taum which was great. Your videos are forever improving. The last safety tip with placing in the dishwasher in the cover is a super tip, well done! Keep up the great work. James ?;^D

      Thanks James, what a lovely comment. Back in my full review of this I did comment that finding space for it is a concern. It is a beast! You have a Ninja don't you? How do you find it? See you on the next one.

      @@BigSpud Oh, I didn’t realise you did a full video of this. These video reviews of kitchen gadgets are good, I’ve done a few. Doing Shorts for these are a drag but worth it, especially to promote your main video. Yes, I have a Ninja but still barely use it, although it’s a great upgrade. The gadgets on yours are great though

    Где ты раньше был,у меня sage не смог перемолоть мясо,потому что я загрузил много,и я почувствовал запах мотора.во чёрт!короче эта штука не для фарша однозначно,лучше использовать мясорубку! А в остальном отличная вещь)пользуюсь только sage.(Хотя в России это марка bork,но я её не покупаю из принципа.

      Извините, пожалуйста, за автоматический перевод. Мне ни разу не удалось сжечь мотор. Думаю, самое жесткое, что я когда-либо рубил, - это брюква. Наверное, это зависит от того, насколько жестким было мясо. Понятия не имел, что их зовут Борк! Спасибо.
