Watching this video reminded me of my daddy saying, "Peggy, come here and let me show you something" when he would design/build something unique. Gary reminds me of my daddy's creativity, ingenuity, and skillful carpentry. Gary is so brilliant and talented!! Doreen, you and Gary did an amazing job with the video, and I'm glad you kept going to show us all the unique inventions, even the drawer in the truck. Amazing! Every time I see one of the older Scotties, it makes me miss my 1964 14/16 footer all the more. Mine had the dining are to the right of the door, the kitchen to the left of the door, a bathroom across from the kitchen with the main bed in back like yours. Maybe someday I'll be lucky enough to find another that doesn't need a whole lot of fixing up and I can add a shower like I always wanted to do. Thank you for helping to keep them alive.

Since the bed is permanently set up, and there's only a full-time dinette, I would really pile on throw-pillows (some could be pillow shams with extra bedding or winter storage for winter clothing) ..add a long body pillow as well, and turn the bed into a BIG comfy Daybed for lounging. Goes without saying that a camping toilet would be hiding under the bed (which would be set up in front of the door with a wrap around privacy curtain at night). If there's enough counter space, I would swap the sink for a divided one....one side for bathroom activities and the other for kitchen activities. If not enough counter space, then I'd get a collapsible basin to tuck inside for washing dishes or fruit and veggies and leave the sink for hygiene stuff. All in all, it's quite charming, and anyone can tweak things how the preferred.. 😊

I grew up in a trailer like that. Except the middle room was my bedroom. Our dad worked construction so we were moving all the time. Thanks for bringing memories to life... Love it!

I'm a big Lucy fan. I remember the long long long trailer. At the time of the movie this trailer was parked at the Ryder trailer park in Milford Connecticut. It was out in front to show the public! In the movie it showed Marjorie Main as the neighbors next door when Lucy faking a sprayed ankle.

I loved Lucy, too.

The party loved in this movie were the rocks she collected. My husband and I have had numerous “discussions” about my rock collecting while traveling around in our RV. He kept reminding me f the scene in this movie where Ricky is trying to climb up the mountain pass and the rocks and everything else were flying around the inside while Lucy was trying to hold on for dear life. It’s been a while since I’ve seen the movie so I hope I’m remembering it correctly! Loved that movie! Cool trailer! I’m jealous.

Haha kitchen looks just like the one I was raised with in Mom and Dad’s, same cabinets, canisters, fridge 😍. These guys did a great job, though they don’t seem to have recovered from all the work it took yet! It’s gorgeous.
