Sydney is a good place to live, work, raise a family and although it is very expensive, the earning potential is also good. It is also a very boring city to live in with not much to do other than eat out and go to the beach in the summer.

Prik Thai is one of great Thai restaurants in Sydney, but it is definitely not located in Thai Town. Thai Town of Sydney is actually around Starbucks Haymarket. Walking up and down George Street from Capital Square, you will find 20+ Thai restaurants serving authentic Thai food.

You got it Boss, 食令 shabu is a high end Japanese shabu shabu located in Taipei 101. Known for their high end quality of meat and veggies. A set will cost around 50 dollars to 80 if you’re getting seafood. Orange Shabu is similar to 食令 good quality, a bit on the pricier side as well. 詹記麻辣鍋 in my opinion is the best mala flavored hot pot in Taipei that’s reasonably priced, easy to get a table for lunch, but dinner will have 2-3 hours queue time. I think you don’t like the spicy broth, so personally I would highly recommend 食令 in Taipei 101. It’s a set menu with appetizer and dessert. If you get the set with the crab, they’ll use the crab roe and make a porridge that’s really good as well. Dessert is decent too.

@@fomoyolotravel I’m Korean and so is my wife. We often crave a certain Korean food, leave home to go to a certain restaurant, and end up driving back home to cook ourselves. We are from LA Koreatown, so that probably also plays a factor. But, it’s consensus amongst Koreans that the Bay Area doesn’t have good offerings. Primary reason for this is the lack of demand which prevents better restaurants from moving into the area.

Mrs Macquarie was the wife of an early colonial governor, and the story is that she used walk to the chair-like rock most days just to look at the view. Pro tip… If you go to the QVB and aren’t there so much for shopping… It’s even better super early in the morning. Especially at Christmas time. They have a giant tree with crystals and when it’s practically deserted you can really take in the architecture. I’m not sure if you got to see Hyde park or the Domain but if you get off at museum station it’s right by the park. You can walk from there easily to the epic Cathedral which is free to enter as well as a major Museum and the Art Gallery. The museum is a tiny fee but the Art Gallery and Cathedral are totally free. Taronga Zoo was an absolutely brilliant choice. It’s a lovely zoo. However, darling Harbour offers four attractions within walking distance. Madam Tussauds, another small zoo and the Aquarium (which has Pig the Dugong!) are all next door to each other and you can get a pass for all three. About 15mins walk away there is the Maritime Museum which has submarines and things you can explore as well as really cool exhibits.

@@fomoyolotravelNo worries! I don’t live in Sydney. I actually live 6hrs away by train or about 3-4hrs by car. I have family in Sydney and I’m a musical nerd so I go when I can and I love to explore though. How cool was the view from Taronga though? Also the ferry ride is so lovely.

Jeff, will you ever make a video explaining your decision to quit your corporate job and what inspired you to start this channel?

I absolutely could and wouldn’t mind sharing more of personal story and how I came to the decision if you and others feel it would be something of interest?
