It is December 28 now and I had been having withdrawls from your Vlogmas ending! So I came back to Floss Toss and loved watching you and Sue! I will have to be strong to just stick to my knitting/crochet projects and not be bitten by the cross stitch bug!
Great Flosstube!
So glad to catch up with both. I hope you had wonderful Thanksgiving days with your families.
I was so happy to see another video. Yes, for Vlogmass!
Lovely to see you both again. !!
Ladies, this was delightful! Thanks for spending so much time talking about knitting- and everything else. I enjoyed it all. And I would also really enjoy a vlogmas from Michigan- just sayin’…
I smiled big when I saw you had a FlossTube up😃 I love your variety and inspiration right to the end😉 I’m thankful for you both this Thanksgiving🥰
I'm one of three as well. Thanks for all your suggestions. So much fun! Happy Thanksgiving from Canada!
It’s funny you talked about that missing cross stitch showing up later somewhere! I had completed a piece many years ago and had it hanging in our house .. my tastes changed so I donated it to a thrift store. We moved from that town and years later I found it hanging in a thrift store in our new home town !! I couldn’t believe it! Needless to say I bought it back and will keep it forever now! It found its way back to me 🤪
Oh my gosh, that is a great story!!
I’m one that stayed till the end and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it! Thank you for including us. Happy Thanksgiving 😊
Wow! What a wonderful session with you two - lots of fun, although a bit tough on the pocketbook! Yarn, stitching, drawing, oh my!
We could top this year’s trip next year by wearing our matching sweaters 😂!
Love that idea!
I believe Country Life is from Azerbaijan. Their son videos the couple. I love watching their cats, geese, chickens and dogs. The recipes are incredible. I believe she used to have her own restaurant. She is a tough lady who is an incredible cook. Very peaceful videos.
Thanks for the info!
❤hahaahahs I made it to the end😂 . You guys are hilarious. I watched it while warping my loom you guys were great company.
Rachel, I love your granny square sweater!
Ohhhhh almost an hour and 45 minutes with Rachel and Sue!! 👏🏻👏🏻
Great to see you ladies together! Very enjoyable episode!!❤
What size needles do you use for the fingering chickens? 27:44
I used a 5 (Rachel)
Great fun to visit with you both this evening! I love all the projects and leads to other artists. Happy Thanksgiving!🦃🍁
You left the web sites up so we couldn’t see your Zentangle or the water colors. Just wanted to let you ladies know that Amazon has craft knives that are really small as a pen that can cut out the small parts on Mill Hill or Satsuma stitches.
Yes, noticed that as well during the editing. Will try to remember to share the next time!
Love the listen. Rachel and Sur you are so funny. I am glad I found you. 😊
Sue not sur
So excited to see you today. 😊🤩😎😍
Woohoo 🎉🎉🎉 🪡🪡🪡
Great to see you girls! Love the catch up and seeing what you’re up to! So happy you still enjoy your bags😍 Sue, I didn’t know you were stitching Peacock Unicorn and Badger!! I am too!!! It’s soo funnnn! Enjoyed the visit, see you again soon🤞
Rachel, I really loved the segment where you show what is in the shop/coming to the shop. I have popped into your shop a couple of times in the last few weeks, but it is a totally different experience to hear you explain/talk about them while you show them. I must get my hands at that little fox scissor holder!
Hi! Great to catch up with you both and see all your beautiful stitching and punch needle. Best wishes from across the pond. 🇬🇧❤️🇺🇸
The Kitchen House and the follow-up Glory Over Everything are great
Great video! I love your shop so much Rachel!!❤
Two of my older favorite books, Kate Atkinson, Life After Life and The Story Sisters by Alice Hoffman. And yes, books I’m finding now are all whiny relationship fluff. I’ve been digging deeper into my library stacks! Enjoy all your amazing projects! Ps you better record during your visit to Vermont lol
RACHEL I WANT TO SEE ALL THE YARN YOU SPUN UP IN JULY!!!!
So great to visit with you ladies again! Great video! I recently stitched this for my son and daughter-in-law for Christmas-she loves witches: The Primitive Hare-“May the Witches”. The saying is “May the witches be kind to you”, which I love. A fun stitch! A book I just finished, “The God in the Woods” by Liz Moore. Couldn’t put it down. I’m now reading “The Women” which I also can’t put down. Thanks Sue for the recommendation. Happy stitching, reading and all the things! Needles up, too 😊❤
Just looked up that witchy cross stitch and I love it! Thanks for the rec - might have to see if I can get for the shop! Thanks, too for the book Rec!
Iiafter watching your other podcasts with your daughter I had to get out some books I have doing plastic canvas and I have started two witches one for my door and the other one first my daughter . I also have been crocheting dollies for my home añd have made a few for gifts. I use fingering yarn and the look great. Sorry about the sloppy typing but my glasses suck
Sounds like you’ve got some very fun projects going!
@@flosstoss221 I plan on watching more of your podcasts
I'm dwelling on it!! 🤢 😅
lol had to think about this!!! Let it go my friend❤❤❤❤
I had to think, too, but now I know. Sorry!! Won’t bring it up again xoxoxox
Hello from Swansea, Illinois.
Really enjoyed your chat today, ladies!
Rachel where did you get your punch needle frame? Sue love all your Satsuma ornaments, so cute. So many new things, I need two more lives to be able to stitch them all😁Good books I’ve listened to on Audible, The Little Liar by Mitch Albom, None of this is true by Lisa Jewel, Tom Lake by Ann Patchell, Who did you tell by Lesley Kara. Sue my sister just did a haunted house collage by Laura Heine. You can buy the kit with all the fabric. It turned out really good
The stand I purchased at a festival a long time ago - it was made by Appleton Krafts in Ipswich, MA greenmountainhookedrugs.com/products/frame
"An Unfinished Love Story" by Doris Kearns Goodwin. Not a novel but reads like one. I couldn't put it down.
My girls are back!!
😍🤩 the floss tube…….😊😎
Love it! Would you mind sharing the link for the adhesive back? I went looking the other day but there seemed to be so many options. Thank you! - Kimberly
Yes! Will also add above. Here is what I purchased! BENECREAT 19 Colors 8.3x11.8... www.amazon.com/dp/B08D5MLW2D?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
@@flosstoss221 thank you!!!
I signed for my engagement ring 😂 my partner bought the ring from a family jeweler in Chicago and shipped it to the house and played it off as a work package 😂
Sue I’d put out your Halloween WIPs as decor. They’re beautiful in progress.🧡
Best book in quite awhile. Lula Dean’s little library of banned books. You’ll laugh and cry. Run, don’t walk. Deborah in Florida
Great flosstube ladies, I so enjoyed while I stitched. Was very interested in the punch needle as I bought one but have not tried it yet.
Very helpful! Thank you! 👌🏽🤩
How can we get on a list for when you ill restock your Millstone Aida 16 count. So many colors I love are sold out. 🥲
Sue says she will be dyeing more fabrics later this summer. Best way to stay in the loop is here and the Treehouse Fiber Arts Newsletter. You can sign up on the website here: treehousefiberarts.com
Yay, so glad to see you ladies back....I've definitely missed you! You guys have left a big hole in my morning workout "playlist" while you've been away! Was hoping that Mary Morgans would make an appearance as you both inspired my start on her but I love listening to your conversations and seeing whatever you are working on. I hate to even bring it up, but....I've also been wondering if Sue's Ann Grimshaw has ever been located?? Ugh! Hope to see you ladies again soon!
I am a 58 year old woman. Stitching, knitting and crochet are just who I am. I have been crocheting since I was 10. I started cross stitching in the late 80’s. I have been knitting for the last 10 years. I do not care how anyone feels about my need to knit in public. Of course I would never bring my knitting to a formal event (wedding, funeral, really nice dinner), but I bring it in the car all of the time and I bring it to family visits every time. To just sit around with my hands idle is unheard of. That is when my husband knows I am not feeling well.
Always acceptable to knit . Never acceptable for a husband to tell me not to knit.💕🧶
I totally understand the need to crochet or stitch as a comfort. I used to feel self conscious about it. I get weird looks or comments from some people but I really don’t care anymore. I have a kit in my car in case I need it. It is a lifestyle for sure. I actually feel sorry for people who don’t know what to do with themselves. 😊
