Merry Christmas Sue and Rachel! Wishing you joy, peace, and time for family and crafts!🎄🎅🏻🧶🙏🏻⭐
Ahh, thanks Annie, same to you!
Rachel, your paper tree is beautiful. It's true, if you buy what you love through the years, everything works together.
Thank you!
Glad to hear the shop will be getting fabric! I developed a bad elbow from stitching too much so gotta lay off for awhile. Hey that bird camera is a great idea! I love 🐦 wishing you all a wonderful holiday!
Your thoughts on knitting vs cross stitching resonated with me. I am back to stitching again, but when I only stitched years ago, I decided that I should focus on knitting, because it resulted in something functional, and not something that was just pretty to look at. I am so happy to be back to stitching, and still mostly knitting too!
Loved the “Toss” today! I can totally relate to being bitten by the knitting bug. Simple stockinette stitch has been very therapeutic recently. The simple repetitive motions of in the round knitting are magic sometimes. I think Rachel, you were referring to the Moravians in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. My many times great grandfather came and settled in what is now Lancaster county and there are quite a few family documents relating his involvement with the Moravian Brethren of that area. That star is gorgeous.
What a beautiful video. Loved seeing part of your lovely home. Both of you have a very peaceful, joy filled Christmas! Love your flosstube! ⛄️⛄️⛄️🌲🌲
Thank you so much, Gerry, same to you!
Ohhh, thank you so much for podcasting today. I totally get the mindset we have about having to produce, produce, produce. My job is a 24/7 job so having to disconnect & and just being is really important. I love my knitting projects that are easy & gentle on my brain. Things that are soothing. I use to think I need to knit faster & I finally let that go because it is my sanctuary. Peaceful.
Love that, Marnie. Beautifully said. I hope you have a peaceful Holiday!
The word you were trying to say, Moravian, is pronounced:
More- a ( long a) - vee - in.
They are a West Slavic group from the Moravia region of Czech Republic. They settled in Nazareth, PA In 1740. A group of people broke off from the Nazareth group in 1741 and traveled a few miles south and started their own group. Count Zinzendorf called their area Bethlehem .
Just thought you might want to know.
I enjoy your floss tube . Happy New Year.
I love your Moravian star on top of your tree. Moravians settled the Winston-Salem area of NC so during Christmas time, most homes hang a Moravian star by their front doors.
The knitting bug definitely eats into stitching time! Now I have a great headband that keeps my ears warm though so I can't really complain!
Lol exactly! It’s all a good thing!
You two make my day 😂. Have a very Merry Christmas!
Happy Christmas ladies! Enjoy your family and here's wishing you many peaceful hours creating (and eating cookies!)
Hi Katherine! Thank you so much. Happy Christmas to you as well!!
Enjoyed your video. The best part is more fabric coming to the shop. Fingers crossed I am lucky enough to get some. Merry Christmas.
I have to agree with Sue about adding back stitch to your Liz Mathews stitch. In fact I finished one myself a couple of days ago and back stitched it, it really makes a big difference! Thanks for keepng us entertained with your floss tubes this year, you both always bring something fun and interesting!! Wishing you and Sue and very Happy Christmas and I look forward to 'seeing' in the new year. ❤️
I will have to try that backstitch! Merry Christmas Sue!
Fun video!
Merry Christmas 🎄
Happy Holidays ladies! Always enjoy your videos. While I was bummed that the fabric club ended I am soooo excited about what you have planned for the future and that the fabric will still be available as it is wonderful! Have a restful creative holiday! Happy New Year!
Thank you so much, Robin, same to you!
My friends, this was a fantastic episode. Rachel, I loved seeing how you did your mantel (you know I'm a BIG fan of using what you have) and Sue, I adore the little ornaments. I really hope you do make some for the girls (and you only need 6 now because they already each got one, right?)
Thank you, friend!! Xoxox
So enjoyed your video tonight -thank you two so much for the fun conversation, inspiration and sharing your creativity- as my dad says take some time for you during this holiday season🎄♥️
Thank you, Kathy! ❤️❤️

Merry Christmas to you, Sheila! Xoxo
I’ve got the knitting bug too Sue! I actually learned how to knit socks on magic loop just this week with The Crazy Sock Lady. I just finished the gusset on my first vanilla sock and am now knitting in the round towards the toe! IT’S SO FUN!!!!
Go Jenny!!!!
Hello Rachel and Sue! Wishing you and your families a very happy Christmas from across the pond! I have so enjoyed this fun again. Love your stitchy ornaments Sue, they are so special and I love the picture you did Rachel. It looks perfect on your beautiful wood. Yes, don’t paint it! You have made me order MS Cookie book and 100 cookie recipes now lol! Can’t wait to start baking and the Ukrainian ceramic mug is beautiful, I have my eye on one too! Not watching again lol only joking! Best wishes and prayers for peace for 2023. 💕🇬🇧 Have some time to enjoy the season.

So enjoyed this light hearted video …felt like I was having a conversation with friends 😘 here in Bemidji we on rare occasions in summertime will have Cardinals they do have them year round in southern MN..such a fabulous bird ♥️ sending you wishes for fantastic Christmas holidays & happiness in the New Year 2023..Cheers 🎉
Thank you, LaNelle! Happy Holidays to you!
Happy holiday season! “Visiting “ with you both today was such fun. One year I stitched family pets on muslin and made them into stuffed ornaments; “Lochinvar” the gray tabby with the curly tail is on my tree still.
How cute, Nancy! I bet they were such a hit and are cherished!
What a great paper tree Rachel. Beautiful work on the mantle and the tree next to it. Thanks for sharing. Merry Christmas to both of you and looking forward to the New Year and your next episode.
Thank you Nicole!
Merry Christmas!!
You guys are so entertaining and inspirational. I missed your sister’s name/link for the cookies. They look fabulous and I need to get into gear for my cookie “creating”. Thanking for sharing everything. Merry Christmas❣️

The old Betty Crocker book has the very best peanut butter cookie recipe..and yes my book is falling apart..it is held together with binder clips..lol
UA-cam noticed I watch Flosstube and suggested your show. ;) When it popped up, I said to myself, "Hey, that woman kind of looks like Rachel B---. How funny her name is Rachel!" Later in the video, you mentioned that you and BRIAN put up your decor... Could it be our old friend from Chicago and Tacoma? If so, HI FROM PORTLAND!!! Like your video! And if not... well, you and Sue can have a good laugh :)
Love watching you guys! Would it be possible for both of you to hold your patters and stitching closer to the camera and old them still a little longer? I watch on my tv and cant really see and focus in on the designs and I’d really enjoy seeing them. Thanks!
Rachel, thanks for sharing pictures of your home. Do not paint the wood, you should check out Copper Corners (I think she may even be your neighbor), she is always showing how she kept her original wood in her home, and just compliments it with her paint colors/wallpaper.
I will check her out! Thank you!
