    Nice video. But I think, any picture would has been taken also with Nikkor 24-120 or 24-200. The Clou of the lens is the aperture. But you are not addressing this particular feature. why not?

      Yes,luved in Tennant Creek. Did I fly a drone like every other tourist...no cause your not a loud l, did I photograph the old fig tree..no as you are not loud too.

    Good review and fun to see you trying different genres! I got a Sigma 18-300 awhile back for the main reason of not having to change lenses all the time, and for the weight, and I love it. Getting too old to pack around the heavier lenses unfortunately. (Considered Tamron at the time as well). The quality works for what I need. This one looks great for what you are pairing it with.

    LOL, I had to watch a video to put my Nikon strap on too when I got my new camera. The Peak quick release neck strap is the way to go though.

    Great video mate! Very different style. Loved the change in scenery along the way. Only Australians and Americans can relate to this magnitude of road trip! It gave me the American Route 66 feel.       @@JeremyPayne Cheers Jeremy. I'm moving over from Fuji and stil deciding between the Z6iii and 7ii series. Thought you had a 7 as they say its a landscapers camera but those images look amazing out of your 6. If you have any advice on this, I'd appreciate it.

    It's been a while - since you've released a video and since I've watched one! I'm taking a YT break but couldn't resist a new JP video! Your camera audio actually sounded pretty good despite the wind. Always wild to see snow in Australia - just something most people don't realize! Cool that Jess got to see snow for the first time! Amazing images as always pal, especially that beauty at 5:20! Sorry for my absence mate, it's been a long, busy, hot summer here. We definitely need to do a catch-up soon!

      All good mate, im never on here either, in fact i don't even watch landscape vlogs from anyone anymore. I upload when i feel like making a video, which is probably why my channel has slowed right down lol. i have been shooting a lot of film lately which I find really enjoyably.     Great to see you back. What's a bit of frostbite if you get a keeper! I was at Mt Macedon with my wife last week... perishing cold with lovely fog at 4 pm but having to rush my shots to keep my wife happy 😕

    I grew up in Kyneton just a few kms away now live near Goornong north east of Bendigo, played plenty of football at Macedon(mas eh don, hard 1 to spell out but don like as in don is good lol) in the freezing cold rain haha, strangely enough only ever played footy in snow at Trentham though. 1983 Ash Wednesday bushfire ripped the heart out of the local community and surrounding towns, can't think of any recent fire there but could have been burn off 🤷‍♂️

      @@JeremyPayne I lived down there too from 07 to 09 out at Finchs road and it snowed once, i worked at Amart all Sports out at the wendouree home maker centre before moving back to Bendigo. I sold my silver mink with white roof 68 Impala to an older bloke before i moved, he was late 60s at the time and drove a big white Dodge

      Mate only about 5 shouts out of 12 came out usable, the rest to soft or camera shake. Learnt my lessons, use a tripod

      @@JeremyPayne hah, i think we all did that mistake once in our photo journey, but as long as we live we learn so its alright. i have so much ptsd from that plus the fact that every shot costs that i end up shooting f8, f11 or even f16 almost all the time, with a cable release, so i get the focus close to what i want even if i do not manage to nail it properly. i really like the shot at 3:55 :D

    Wow, I can't even imagine this being a first time, as this is the only thing we had. My first medium format was a Hasselblad 500...something. Guess they are all worth some money these days. It was either great, or very disappointing sending off the film to be developed and printed to see what one had captured. Can't remember if that was the camera I had that had an upside down image that I would view or not. Always great to see the "old school" cameras being dusted off and used once again! Awesome!!

    That was quite a surprise, but a nice change of pace mate! Film photography looks like a lot of work and quite challenging, but like you said, something to get that passion back a bit (which I've completely lost right now). Loved the b&w city shots near the end of the film! Looking forward to seeing what else you come up with shooting film. I've taken a bit of a break from YT (creating & watching), but I'm always down for a new Job film. Hope all is well mate, we need to schedule a chat soon!
