those are just indian scammers they wont do anything, just if you can get a new phone number and change your emails and stuff bcs probably all of your contact informations are already leaked and they do trade those informations with other scam call centers so they will keep bothering you with all of different dumb scams

Good pick ups on the scam. I work for a bank and sadly lots of people miss these red flags. My best advice is always to trust your gut. If something feels off, hang up. The Russian proverb “trust, but verify” comes to mind.

The cookie thing is possible, but if you use SMS for 2FA instead of an authenticator app there are additional vulnerabilities. They can clone your SIM and replicate your phone so the message goes to them, same with getting into your email and intercepting messages. Crazy times.
