I find your interpretation of Lathander interesting. I like the idea that Lathander is simply overzealous but means well. Lathander truly believes his way is the right one. Lathander is a juggernaut of a deity because his portfolio is so large and he is extremely popular, probably the single most popular deity in the Forgotten Realms. Lathander is like the Sun, his passion BURNS. He is naive and idealistic. I believe that ultimately, he does more good than harm, but I certainly see the validity of your interpretation. I had never realized just how much similarity there was between Lathander and Apollo

If you read the Sundering series set in the Forgotten Realms, which I HIGHLY recommend, it is canonically stated that Shar is a goddess of extreme nihilism. Shar has destroyed countless universes through the Cycle of Night. Shar is the Void, she exists to end existence. Shar has Thirteen truths and a 14th secret truth: “All is meaningless, and nothing endures.” I think that quote embodies what Shar represents: utter nihilism, some people want to watch the world burn, Shar wants to watch the universe end. I dislike the argument that Shar is misunderstood. I think of Shar as a tired deity, who just wants to reduce everything to a Void where she can finally be alone, yet still not content. Shar is emptiness, nothing can fulfill her

Over a 2 year campaign I've been building up to this guys reveal as the BBEG. He's so cool but doesn't ever show up in any lore which sucks. But that did give me plenty of room to interpret and adjust him to fit the campaign better

She cant ascend back to heven it's made very clear once you betray your god you either cast into the wall of the faithless or go straight to Ninth hell where Asmodeus devours your soul to fuel his divinity. You got to respect a crafty deviant like him as he fed of 2 other gods prior becoming a god him self namely Waukeen and Azuth, while mortal souls sustain him and recover his previous form that of a huge serpent Ahriman. The only reason Zariel accomplished taking a whole city of Elteruel to Avernus is because she was a solar of Lathander and the city lord of Elteruel was a Chosen of Lathander, whom she corrupted, she had a unique understanding of her old god that gave her an advantage in her scheme to take Elteruel to Avernus. there is absolutely no way in hell Lathander would even consider redemption especially after what she had done. I doubt a god like Lathander would abandon a whole city full of his followers including that of his own Chosen and not even bother try saving it, it's all because of Zariel or at least that's my interpretation. A gods power scales directly proportional with belief and faith, he not only lost a huge footing in the prime material plane, along with his chosen but also a significant amount of his faithful, it's simply impossible he would let that happen considering his brash nature and past accomplishments in lore. Even a god like Maglubiyet who does not care about his goblin followers would think twice, especially when it came to loosing sizable amount of divinity, as god's covet and compete for the prime material plane like planar scavengers, this further baffles me that he did not act, probably because he couldn't as he must have known, as all gods know what transpires within their domain no matter how small or ambiguous.

I think of reptilian Kobolds as the halfling to the dragonborn/lizardfolk human. I have an idea for lore where the kobold deity calls himself the son of the evil draconic deity, but the term the draconic deity uses would be closer to "furbaby" in meaning. Video on goblins, I make posts on kobolds.

Goblins (and by extension hobgoblins and orcs) in my setting are heavily inspired by Warhammer’s take. Being a “genderless” species that asexually reproduces and who crave and thrive on conflict because they were created as biological weapons. They also come in all kinds of colors thanks to having subtle adaptations to whatever environment they’re in. I really like your take on having them be cat people as a counter to kobolds being dogs, it fits too well.

I like that the Raven Queen feels like an deity who’s more proactive. At least that’s vibe I get whenever I look at her lore. Whereas other gods are good aligned, they mainly stay up the heavens and bestow blessings to followers, only coming down when something really big is happening. The Raven Queen however is sending out small parts of herself to interact and influence her followers and pull the strings.

It's never explicitly said, but it is heavily applied that Jergal was a Spell Weaver before he became a god. Hence why he has an alien look at times.

Ironically, she is the patron of DnD dark eldar. You know the similarities are there, shadow elves and those frickin sadists XD

Ah... Strahd. His greatest accomplishment was beating up Mordenkainen... which is not very impressive considering the fact that Mordenkainen has been done VERY dirty in 5e and he has a statblock of a normal archmage.

As for I would like to see in upcoming videos... Possibly something with Torm, who is getting sidelined in 5E or D&D One or with Bahamut, because he tends to be rather popular with my players.. I myself am a big fan of both. Good deities willing to sacrifice themselves for the mortals and greater good are rare in FR and while they are present, people do not talk about them often enough.

Hello! I must say that your Tyr's art is incredibly beautiful. It has both the raw power and divine majesty coming from it. Something that is rather difficult to capture when one is creating a visage of a crippled man. I am a DM that is currently making a campaign that goes to 30 level and my characters are encountering deities in their full glory. So far they had a meeting with Annam, Eilistraee and some minor gods. I wanted to ask if you would be against of me using your Tyr's art in my campaign. I do not make any profit from it and I do not stream/post it on the internet. I will also credit you for your art, of course, and send this video to my friends. I am currently using the church of lathander as an antagonist towards the players and the overall world. The church runs a major theocracy which is a powerful country controlling almost half of the continent. The church is zealously hateful towards all undead creatures and practitioners of necromancy and heretical beliefs and actively destroy them. They are at war with the neighboring nation over a theocratic dispute over the weaker southern nation using necromancy for free labor to tend farms and plant crops.
