07-08 Harley Transmission Shroud on 2012 Does it fit?
Переглядів 6185 років тому
Tried transmission shroud #7876 and #7877 on my 2012 Harley Streetglide CVO. Both fit but 7877 worked better for the exhaust I have. This may not work with other exhausts that curve back on the front side of the shroud. Also trimmed the rear cylinder base cover to fit with this shroud since its different year model fitments.

What color gray is this?
@@angelaoubre3271 i believe it's called Pewter gray
Nice bike. Would like to know what brand tour pack? Thanks
@WayneVejrosta-h4o Ecotric has one like it on amazon. For a more authentic version advan black has some nice ones. Mine is still doing good. Recently replaced the latch that opens it but not a big deal.
Great idea!
Looks good man…bless you!!!
Airstone is not suppose to be applied to OSB. Corners are available.
He should’ve primed it and it would be fine
Lol it says right on the bucket to not apply thick
bad boy bad boy whatcha gonna do when they come for you
What works best to cut airstone??
The grinder with the diamond blade worked best I believe. Or a tike saw with the same blade.
I thought the corners were pre-made. The photo on HD is misleading
@lbrady-sq8gb yes it is. You can overlap them if you want. I have seen some do that.
I thought I found a vid saying they used a '09-'13 mounting bracket and the '14^ Tour Pak?
How big in length and width
I can let u know this evening
Thanks, but you didn't do a very good job. You should hire a Professional next time. Sorry but it looks kinda sloppy.
You can order a lock matched to your Harley from the dealership and replace the lock that came with the tour pack.
I'm not sure. You may have to order a new set of 3 and redo them all at once.
I purchased two key locks from my dealership, to replace the ones in a set of saddle bags I installed on my Harley Fatboy. I gave the dealer my VIN code, and the key locks were ordered, they worked great.@@jamestijerina2787
Thank you for sharing your video bro it helps me a lot
Did you do a fender extension in the rear or does it come like that
The 2012 cvo came like that. I know have a 7 down 14 out kit from redfox bagger. Advan black.i think it is sells extensions for fenders to.look like that
That's a really nice looking bike brother keep up the good work💯👍🏼😎
How well do the axles hold up with that lift
Broke rhino and rhino 2.0 it seemed like every ride. Upgraded the turner lift before I sold it and didn't have any problems. Had the halo locker in front diff with both lifts
Thanks for the info I appreciate it!
Us General are made in China. You like China?
I need 12ft door for my rv, how thick is your slab? Thanks for sharing!
6" thick beams and rhe rest 4".
Was watching your video… do you still have your 2012 CVO SG?… i’m trying to get exact specifications on where to put the Screamin eagle gas tank badges on and I thought if you were willing to do some measurements and photos with some precise measurements, I would gladly send you some cash for the favor. Seriously!…thank you!… I want to make sure they are in the exact position because they’re $250 for a pair of them and it’s a one time deal obviously!… thanks again…
How did you bolt the end cabinet to the roller cabinet? Did you have to drill holes into the roller cabinet?
What is the name of this company?
Metal buildings of Texas.
😊😊😊 that 05/06 1k looks good in the background
I appreciate it. Got rid of it about 3 months ago. Did alot of sitting after I got the harley but it was a good fun bike.
@@jamestijerina2787 I got a 06 same color scheme Brock’s exhaust sittin bout 62-64 inches! Love it man but my streetglide way more comfortable 😂😂😂
@bjdulin2669 I hear ya there. Mine too. Plus that radio better than headphones 🎧 lol.
Did you have to drill holes for the bottom bolts on the side cabinets?
No mam. There were already wholes there for that, just had to find some bolts that fit.
How much for that and how much for the red iron building...this new style of building seems cheep but bill is alot...and red iron seems like people quit building/selling quality.. what happened to red iron buildings...or at least c channel steel. Fill me in buddy bc I'd like to build house out of a kit but low on $$..wanted bc was cheaper 10 years ago and no termites..I'm in Alvin Texas by Houston
This was 18,500 2 years ago installed. I priced a red iron at that time and they were sold per order and delivered. I would have had ro have equipment to unload and assemble myself or hire someone to do it so the labor prices would be different for that in your area. I couldn't find someone in my area for a price I thought was fair so I went this route. Same company I ordered from came out and assembled. Red iron you can also get quotes with insulation. That was not an option on this type of building at my time of purchase that I seen.
Bottom line this was less of a hassle and was assembled in a few days.
Thank u so much for your reply...gave me exactly what was asking..I understand completely...
you didnt show how to remove the big tool cabinet from the pallet without a forklift. you edited that part out. you said " I'll let it marinate". serious??? que pendejo . you skipped the most important part.
thats nice im getting ready to build one myself
Let us know how it turns out.
I wish some one would make a drop in upgrade unit for this lift.
Long story but I had to build my own Carolina carports shop. I’m not sure I understand how the windows get trimmed out. The heads of the screws that hold the window onto the building cause a gap that the j trim sits against. Can you get me photos of what they did on your windows? They just fill the gap with caulking? Thanks.
Im looking at a red one just like that
Their nice toolboxes. I heard some series 3 are coming out soon. Not sure what changes are in those.
Excellent!
Where do you find the vin on these ?
That one has a plate or sticker on the outside driver side I believe. It shows the tire pressure and weights a well.
Looking for the 7” lift for a 2018 maverick and can’t find any lift for them did you have to call?
Yeh I had to call. They asked if I planned to run portals. They may make it a little different if you decide to. I told them no portals on this lift.
What length are your shocks
Not sure. It was stock shocks on the maverick. Not sure if all the models had the fox shocks.
Any way you could get me the measurements to your rear shocks from bolt hole to bolt hole ?
@@goldenkickz3308 I don't have this unit anymore. I sold it to a guy in Houston.
I have the Central Pneumatics motorcycle lift table from Harbor Freight that came with the air/ hydraulic jack. After about 12 years of frequent use, the pneumatic pump gave out and I manually pumped it up for about a year. For several years I had been toying with the idea of converting it to a hydraulic cylinder, similar to what's used in a log splitter. After about a year of hunting on line and through junk yards I came across a hydraulic pump unit for an automotive lift. I found a 2" cylinder with a 6" stroke that I thought would do the job. I fabricated a mount out of a 4" square steel tube (a little over kill there. 3" would have been quite adequate). That served as a cross member between the frame rails of the lift frame. I made a post out of 3 pieces of 5/16" X 2" bar stock sandwiched together and welded. I drilled one end to receive the clevis pin of the hydraulic cylinder. Then I centered and welded the post perpendicular to the square tube. The material for all the fabrication came from the local scrap yard. I had to weld the cross member onto the frame far enough forward for the rear lift arms to clear in the down position. That meant removing the rods for the pedals. The rod on the cylinder was much smaller than the ram on the old jack so I had to make a collar to thread on the end of the rod to make it fit into the cup on the V plate. The pivot rod for the V plate broke the center bolt twice so I drilled and tapped each end and bolted a fender washer to the ends to keep the rod in place. Once mounted and connected to the pump unit I rolled my 600# bike on the lift and hit the button to lift it. I found I had turned my lift into a catapult. It lifted the bike to the top in less than 2 seconds, and when it got to the top it jerked the whole assembly back about 4" along the floor. I had to slow it down. To do so I made a restrictor that I put in the fitting by the cylinder to restrict the rate of flow into the cylinder. I had to choke it down from 3/8" down to .025". That slowed the lift time down to 8 seconds and kept it in place. The pump unit has a go switch to raise the lift and a lever to let it down by gravity. I installed a pedal switch on the opposite side of the lift so I can also lift it from that side. Since the cylinder has a 6" stroke and it only takes 4" to lift it all the way, I installed a stop switch to keep it from over extending. I put a 960# bike on the lift and it lifted it about a third of the way up and overloaded it and blew the breaker. I then installed a 2 1/2" cylinder which gave me plenty of force to lift a 1000# bike. I realize that this is a little more work and expense than the air/oil conversion done here, but I think it was well worth it. The only down side is if the lift isn't all the way up, and I want to lift it higher, I have to let it down, either on to the safety bar or all the way down. This relieves the pressure on the hydraulics and allows the motor time to spool up again to lift it all the way.
I never thought about an auto hydraulic pump. I didn't know you could adjust the speed on those. Sounds like it was worth the work. Thanks for the knowledge.
@@jamestijerina2787 --- You can't adjust the speed, only the pressure. I had to improvise a method to slow it down without reducing the pressure. By restricting the flow into the cylinder it fills the cylinder slower. The pressure before the restriction will certainly increase too high because it can't force the oil through the restriction fast enough. There is a pressure relief valve to keep it from over pressuring. When it tries to over pressure, the relief valve opens and dumps the excess flow back into the tank but keeps the pressure up to lift the bike.
@@jamestijerina2787 --- I put together a video of the mods I did to the lift. Here's the link. ua-cam.com/video/T6eHjhZNkXw/v-deo.html

Nice CVO Street Glide! Beautiful colors.
I appreciate it. Looks a little different now. I need to post an updated video of the changes I made.same color just bagger look.
Perfect for pizza delivery.
How thick is the concrete
I believe 4" overall and 6" on perimeter. Not sure if they put 6" runs inside the middle anywhere.
If that’s a 50 ft wall with 2 twelve foot doors and a 10 footer. Where’s the other 16 feet?
Walls are 12' tall. All roll up doors are 10' tall x 12' wide except one on far right looking from front. It's 10'tall 10' wide.
2' on sides and between roll up doors. So left to right 2', 12', 2',12', 10',10',2' door is 36" wide I believe.
I like the replacement of the hydraulic with an air-over jack. This is an excellent video!
Great set! &, thank you very much for getting the blue set! It’s my favorite color, &, just about every one else is getting the red ones. It’s great seeing someone else liking the color blue! I wish you all great success with your set, & May God bless you all!
I'm wondering where the red end cabinet went
It was returned because it was an 18" (series 1)deep cabinet. The blue one is 22" deep(series 2). Upon that return I decided to get a complete set so I wouldn't run into that again. Blue was rhe only color they had rhe full set of in stock at that time. I believe it worked out better.

Ohh nice. I've done more work to it now. I have a 26 front wheel and 7 down 14 out bags on the back.
@@jamestijerina2787 WhoW........ 💯
I really like those rollup doors you have there. The fact that they don’t take up any of the headroom with brackets and tracks. How much more expensive are the roll ups versus the slide up track types? In a perfect world I wouldn’t care how much they cost, but this ain’t a perfect world🤣
I'm sure each dealer is different and depends if you get the track doors with insulation. All the dealers I got quotes from didn't offer the track doors. I bought a 8x8 roll up for my gym for $630 and a track 16x8 garage door for about the same price. The roll up door so much easier to install, but it was smaller too.
Can you provide a link for the lift I can’t find one for my 2015

Would love to see a updated tour on your box. I just bought a blue 44 inch bottom for my shop will be doing a tour on it soon.
Are you able to ride it in and put your feet down, and secure it by yourself ?
Yes I am but I do have the tow hooks on my forks so I get it tied down pretty quick.
@@jamestijerina2787 Yes I have the soft grip straps and can usually get it strapped down but it looks like there’s no way to put your feet down once you get it into the chock.
It's tight but can be done. Watch your footing because you can slip pretty easy. One guy on here mentioned rhino lining the floor of it. I think that is a good idea.
