Not the same seller for tour pack so not sure if the bottom cover will be the same material.
I bought mine off of Amazon. Cost me than $300.00 with the mount. Had it painted. I am very happy with it.
That should've come with a flat metal internal mounting plate as well that gets placed inside the tour pack on the bottom in the area of that square. It helps keep the pack rigid when hitting bumps and under load. In the configuration you have that pack is going to crack. As far as the bracket...on your docking hardware bushings there are smooth spots that are designed to be angled in a certain direction. If all 4 are not lined up correctly you will experience what you did. Run your fingers around the bushings where the rack connects and you'll see what I'm referring to. Good luck.
Thanks bro, I'm gonna order the Chopped Tour Pack in the near future. 👍🏾✌🏾
Thanks for the informative video. Looking at updating mine on my 02. Thanks
Great choice on the bolts btw...
FYI , the docking hardware plastic bushings need to be rotated so the flats are top and bottom because they are elongated not round. Might need to loosen the screws slightly to rotate. Saw this tip on advanblack tourpack install video. Good video bro. Thank you!
I appreciate that man. I'll have to check that out.
Thanks for your time bud nice bike
Looks great, ordered a king pack a week ago!
Thx for choosing Harley Davidson
Great music choice bud
Perfect for pizza delivery.
Nice job great video 🇨🇦
That's a really nice looking bike brother keep up the good work💯👍🏼😎
Thank you for sharing your video bro it helps me a lot
Hey James! Thx for the video... loved the helmet part!
I appreciate it.
Good video man thanks for sharing
You can put the 2014 bags on a 2013. You just have to make a small modification to your front brackets for your bag.
Thanks for that.
Looks good man…bless you!!!
Good information. Thanks for posting.
you need to put a plate in the inside
Nice CVO Street Glide! Beautiful colors.
I appreciate it. Looks a little different now. I need to post an updated video of the changes I made.same color just bagger look.
Just the video I was looking for. We must be the only people with a 2012 Street Glide.
Lol. Yeh everyone has14 and up seems like. Glad it could help.
First of all what I noticed has the good points it looks very good on a bike I guarantee you got a very good price on it and the video you did is both informative and well done you showed all little problem areas that I would have been worried about the one bad thing I think about this tour Pak you have it on a steel plate with four washers on top that is not the strongest way possible to mount that pack I would have definitely used to steel plate I would have put the plate underneath the liner and put the bolts and washers through the liner you would have had a much more Firm Mount right now if that tour-pak bumps into something I'm worried those bolts will rip out of the tour pack other than that I think you did a fucking great job and those mounts are a little tricky they make them tight so they fit good they will work in for you have a great day nice job
I appreciate the input. Yeh I was going to order that plate and never got around to it. I guess I need to quit procrastinating. As far as that mount I was hoping it would fit because their is a different style for the 2012 model and I went with the 2014 style and it fits. Glad I could assist you in answering some questions and thanks for the knowledge.
Thanks good job.
Bless You !
Nice video really helpful man
Thanks. I appreciate it.
I thought I found a vid saying they used a '09-'13 mounting bracket and the '14^ Tour Pak?
Good video from 2 years ago
Very nice bike 👍🏻
U saved a ton of $$$$$
😊😊😊 that 05/06 1k looks good in the background
I appreciate it. Got rid of it about 3 months ago. Did alot of sitting after I got the harley but it was a good fun bike.
@@jamestijerina2787 I got a 06 same color scheme Brock’s exhaust sittin bout 62-64 inches! Love it man but my streetglide way more comfortable 😂😂😂
@bjdulin2669 I hear ya there. Mine too. Plus that radio better than headphones 🎧 lol.
When you were installing the bracket for the tourpak, did you try adjusting the screw on the docking hardware? I had a similar problem with my 012 road king luggage rack.
No I didn't. I wasnt aware it would adjust. I thought the screw just held clamp on but I will try that. I dont plan on removing it often at all but I will still try that for when I do. Thanks for the tip.
What screw exactly are you referring to? And did it help with the fitment. I plan on ordering this package for a 2011 Street Glide as a gift for my fiance. Any help would be appreciated before I purchase it. Thank you
The screw on the docking hardware that is attached to the rear fender. My was too tight, which compressed the rubber grommet where my luggage rack attached. I just loosened it a tiny bit.
Perfect, I have one coming Sat for my 2010.
I hope it works for you, I love mine.
How did it turn out for you so far?
@@jamestijerina2787 Mine is perfect, I added the plate inside so it's more secure and added a blue stitched advanblack tour pack liner. Swapped out the cheap tether for an advanblack tether as well. Looks and fits great on my 2010.
@@hdrolling nice. Sounds like I need to upgrade mine with the plate. I seen the advan insert and been debating but you may have convinced me. Lol. Appreciate the input.
@@jamestijerina2787 I was surprised at how expensive the pates were but worth it I suppose. The liners really make the inside of the pack look nice, I installed the saddle bag liners after seeing how well the tour pack liner was made. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B082FSHXX1/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
What brand tour pack did u purchase
You can order a lock matched to your Harley from the dealership and replace the lock that came with the tour pack.
I'm not sure. You may have to order a new set of 3 and redo them all at once.
I purchased two key locks from my dealership, to replace the ones in a set of saddle bags I installed on my Harley Fatboy. I gave the dealer my VIN code, and the key locks were ordered, they worked great.@@jamestijerina2787
Was watching your video… do you still have your 2012 CVO SG?… i’m trying to get exact specifications on where to put the Screamin eagle gas tank badges on and I thought if you were willing to do some measurements and photos with some precise measurements, I would gladly send you some cash for the favor. Seriously!…thank you!… I want to make sure they are in the exact position because they’re $250 for a pair of them and it’s a one time deal obviously!… thanks again…
Liked your video, I have a question about the hinge set up on your saddle bag. Mine hit my tour pack when opened. The hinge you have, that you lift then slide out and fold down would work for me, but I can't find them. Can you share where you got them?
I believe that hinge comes on the 2013 and lower harley hard bags. The 2014 and up doesn't slide out and down, it comes up and out. I'm not 100% sure on that but the research I did when purchasing that's what I seen.
@@jamestijerina2787 Thank you Sir.
The mounting studs you are connecting to, are oblong. If you look at them closely they have arrows. Turn these a bit and the bracket will just slide on with no effort.
I appreciate that. I'll have to look at and try it.
What kinda of seat is that?
Nice video and beautiful bike..I have a cvo 2010 tequila sunrise
Ohh nice. I've done more work to it now. I have a 26 front wheel and 7 down 14 out bags on the back.
@@jamestijerina2787 WhoW........ 💯
Thanks for posting. Link for purchasing please and thank you.
So far its holding up. I haven't made any long trips yet loaded down. I have hauled a case of beer in it numerous times across town and seems to be doing fine.
can you past the amazon part number please
I watched this to see do u have trouble with the latches or release buttons and u did! Mine is hard to mount. I’m wondering would it be a major issue If I removed the rubber sleeves on the mounting hardware. I’m sure it would make it easier to mount. Just a thought
I'm not sure. It would be a start. I used some sand it didn't help much. Ki d of like it that way because it wont come up missing and I dont plan to take it off to often, but if you do that let me know how it works.
I’ll let u know what I come up with!
Mine are the same way, and it’s because the bracket is too narrow. If you spread the bracket while you’re trying to attach it it helps mine a lot (YMMV)
I appreciate that. I'll try that next chance I get and see if it doesn't help it out. @@LukePierce333
FYI, this may resolve the rubber sleeve, hard to mount issue? Those rubber sleeves are not perfectly round. They are designed that way to assist with a firm mount once latched. Those rubber sleeves as you call them have a line scribed on them. That line should face the opening of the latching mechanism so when the latching mechanism rotates to latch it's solid. If these sleeves aren't lined up correctly it's similar to putting a square peg into a round hole. Hope this makes sense and helps.
Sub # 253! Great channel bro!!
Looking at the the same tour pack are you still pleased with it? thanks for posting.great looking ride.
Yes I am. I haven't been on any long rides but as far as around surrounding towns it works out great. It's really convenient and holding up well so far.
Did you do a fender extension in the rear or does it come like that
The 2012 cvo came like that. I know have a 7 down 14 out kit from redfox bagger. Advan black.i think it is sells extensions for fenders to.look like that
I bought a tour pack from ebay it's ok has a few holes 4 to be exact for weird accessories speakers etc. I gotta do some DIY bodywork. I can't complain for the price $328. Free shipping hd wanted close to $2,000.!!! No fkn way!
I agree. The Harley ones are overpriced.
So its possible to install on old harley like on 06 ultra classic but need a little work on detach plate only?
I'm sure the box would fit but I would get the attachment for your year model. If you need some measurements offline let me know.
Do u think I could snag one of them for my 2010 Street Glide CVO?.. I’m tryna find a tour pack for my ol lady and I’m going through hell and high water to find one. I got a crazy blue color so I’m gonna have to buff prime and paint whatever your pack I get regardless..
Yesr i don't see why not. You might consider your year model mounting bracket if you want it to release quickly.
Looks good brother. What was they nut n bolts you had to get?
Got them from a local hardware store. The washers were fender washers
@@jamestijerina2787 ok, what size?
@@writer312 I belive around 1/4" or like an M6
Is the tour pak the TCMT brand or the SLMOTO brand?
Also how is the pack holding up
Was the light bar extra? Where did you get it?
No light bar on this pack.
Do u think the 2013 bracket would work with the 2014 and up tour pack? because I to would like the 2014 and up model on my 2011 street glide
I think it would. I believe the main difference was the older model bracket had forward/back adj holes every 1/4 inch or so to where the newer one has one log adj. Hoke about an 1 inch long so you can slide it to adj. With loosening the bolts rather than taking rhem all the way out and put in a different hole
@@jamestijerina2787 thanks, man I'm going to go with what u did 💯 seems to work fine
@@ronstidham1 awesome 👌. Mine is still holding/working/ looking good. Hope you like it on your bike.
I think those are made in china?
Not bad for the price...
what year did you order for the 4 point docking system
I would say around June, July 2019
Do you have the chopped or razor tour pack? The link you added was a razor but the one you have looks bigger
I have a razor. I thought about buying a chopped for long trips but most time its just short trips and I like the look of the razor better. There is a smaller on than the razor called a pizza cutter/carrier I believe but that's too small for me. I can give you exact measurements Saturday if you would like.
James Tijerina thanks. I ordered the same one you got. Looks good
I hope you enjoy it as much as I do mine. Let me know how it turns out. @@lexxonadventures8755
James how do you measure where to drill for the backrest?
@@lexxonadventures8755 mine had predrilled holes for the backrest and the retractable string for opening, so all I had to do was put the nuts/caps on.
The plastic clips that hold it to the docking system cracked on mine
I'm sorry to hear that. I've put mine on about 3 times (the first tapping it with a hammer to close) and I don't think mine are cracked(knock on wood)
They are hard to latch alright
I just would like it see a video on how to remove one properly.
I'll see if I can make a short video rhis weekend.
@@jamestijerina2787 Thanks James I just got this 1996 Ultra Classic
How is the quality of the plastic on the pak? Many reviews say it is cheap plastic and breaks easily.
Jose Vazquez Super thin plastic. It cracks if you look at it too hard. Lol. Seriously, it’s really thin.
For that price if it cracks just replace it
Hey I hear Aaron Lewis in the background!!!
Wonder if this would fit on a 2010 deluxe 🤔
Not sure on that. If you need some measurements let me know and I can get some for you.
@@jamestijerina2787 what are the measurements between the bracket legs left to right and the measurement between the right side to mounting slots? Wondering if it will fit right into the sissy bar quick connect spools I have on my Deluxe. 🤓😁 Thank you and stay safe 😎
@@sixwheelcarlisle8491 left to right outside to outside 10" metal is 1/8" thick. My mounting points front to back on center are about 5 3/4"
@@jamestijerina2787 Thank you🤓 I’m measuring my quick detach sissy bar/ back rest and that would not work for my 2010 Harley Davidson Deluxe, it measures 9 1/4” on center of either side and 9 3/4” left to right. Thank you again for your time👍🏻👍🏻
@@sixwheelcarlisle8491 yeh too far off. No prob. Glad I could save you some time and heartache lol.
Where you get the rim from
Came stock on 2012 CVO
You coulde’ve just bought the right mount for the year of your bike 🤦🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️. The tour pack doesnt matter the year, it just get screwed on tho the mount.
This mount has like an inch to slide back and forth to where as my year model mount had like 4-6 holes for adjustment. No sliding for adjustment. That's why I went with this one.
A table would have been nice for unboxing huh!
DER.?
I ride a black road king.
That should have a plate on the inside of the tour pack
I mentioned that at 7:55. The plates I seen were flat and unless they are indented/raised about 1 inch circle around the bolt holes to form like the plastic, using big washers will do the same thing.
@@jamestijerina2787 cool. Just wanted to let you kno. Good video by the way. Thanks
@@Jerk_ANC Thanks for knowledge. I may try a plate later. I'll see how this holds up and go from here. Appreciate it.
@@jamestijerina2787 The metal base plate is to take weight off the bottom of trunk. If you don't haul a 30 pack or anything real heavy, you'll be fine. The aftermarket plastic won't hold the weight of oem fiberglass. I have the same trunk and well pleased for the price. God Bless Texas!
@@bobberguy1 Thank you for that bit of info. I wasn't aware it was for weight. Thought about putting luggage rack on top. I'd I do I will put a plate on it. Appreciate it.
Not to be funny man but why would you do all that work for the small box...kinda doesnt seem worth it....just asking....again not to be funny or shitty...i have a full size box and love the storage...be cool....rubber down....
I would like to get a bigger box. Like the look of this a whole lot more. I like the bagger look more than the touring so just my preference.if this one holds up well I'll get a bigger one for long road trips.
Typical cheap Amazon shit. I will never understand why people buy a Harley, then cheapen the bike by putting bargain basement crap on it. To each their own but not for me
