I think you missed the actual point of that comment - the scarcity of cookies has no bearing on daily life. But eggs? Fresh vegetables? Housing? Scarcity on those items and others like it is exhausting. Survival mode is exhausting. Its exhausting to constantly wonder if tomorrow will finally be the bridge between living paycheck to paycheck and being unhoused and destitute. So yes - we are tired of scarcity and time limits and no amount of capitalism-maxxing will change that.

Really compelling content, thank you. I'm a complete noob with Kickstarter and I have a couple of questions. When one pledge a sum of money do Kickstarter add on top local sales tax or VAT? Also, it is my understanding that Kickstarter acts as a financial/marketing service, so the collected money should not be considered as US based income unless one run their business in the US. Is it this assumption correct? In other words, for a business located in the EU with no established presence in the US, the collected money using the services provided by Kickstarter are not deemed as taxable income in the US? Thank you.

So what about us who work a 9 to 5 and can’t afford a loan to run a campaign. All we can afford is a $25 a month. Due to bills as with I take care of my mom I pay her bills & mine. Barley have gas money to get to work.

Indiegogo can literally run off with your money, but THATS the more flexible??
