Remember you are responsible when you shoot. FMJ ammo usually goes through its target (depending on what caliber your shooting) while most hollow points do not. I’m out of state and critical Defense is in all my weapons.

Hey buddy I just tried renewing my ccw on FARS in nj i went through everything uploading photo and my safe handling all that shit I clicked continue and brought me back to start application any clues on this issue should I try to do it again I was waiting to pay $200 now wtf instead of $50 lol any ideas

Reread the NJSP faq. It states that you can use HP ammo at the range. It says you may possess at home. As a result, I suggest talking to an attorney before defending yourself with hollow points in NJ regardless of your location!

Get a real knife... no disrespect and I have been carrying for about the same amount of time but I am a much bigger fan of Teir1 concealed holsters with the side car for the spare mag that can be detached. But with that being said we have to try to get these mag capacity restrictions changed and the restricted areas changed because that aspect is ridiculous. But Glad to see more people carrying in NJ! Even though we have so many restrictions and have to pay and jump through so many hoops unfortunately.

Left NJ before this was an option for FL. Had a FL and UT while in NJ, traveled quite a bit while working. When I became a FL resident, it was just a change of address, no extra cost or new permit required. UT renewal just required a copy of my FL CCW. FL license is 7 years, UT I think is 5. I'm bad in math, but I can probably renew these for the next 20 years for lees then the 2 year NJ. Just could not afford to retire and stay in NJ. Anthony at GFG and his crew are the best. One day if I ever find myself back in NJ I will visit his new expanded range.

Here a question for you that I haven’t gotten a definite answer for. Can a person carry any handgun that they own in NJ that is not part of the list provided to the issuing town/city? That particular piece of paper says that one permit is good for all handguns owned by the person being issued that particular permit. Crystal clear right? But right below that it says that the issuing town chief may ask for the CCW applicant to provide a list of handguns they intend to carry. Oxymoron right? So what’s the deal?!?!

Look into a pocket pistol like the Ruger LCP Max or the new S&W when wearing shorts I use a Sticky pocket holster and it’s great, best of all because of the size it’s comfortable.

Here in Florida you are prohibited to carry in a bar, casino etc however say your going to Applebees or anyplace that isn’t primarily a bar but serves alcohol you are allowed to carry but you can not sit at the bar. Anywhere else is fine.

Not only is it illegal for the state of NJ to have these laws it’s also nonsensical, a holo point behaves the same way no matter where it’s used in public or in your home, the fact that only certain individuals are allowed to use them in their everyday carry proves they know the round is more affective at stopping a threat quickly and relatively safely.

State Police issued my renewal in 2 days after I submitted my renewal application. Hats off to the Sussex, NJ Barracks. Received my PA carry permit in 20 minutes and $20.00 for 5 years. NJ can learn a lot about 2nd Amendment rights and reasonable costs to their citizens from PA.

I’m from Jersey City, how long does it take to get your CCW after submitting application. My brother lives in Bayonne and got his approved in 2 weeks. I submitted my application 1 Month ago today.

It is all done online now. Much smoother process.

Range by me is telling me I need to take complete course with class and qualification. I think its a money grab but hey it is nj. Has anyone else been thru this?
