Perfect weather except for the wind which made Mike's words hard to hear at one point as he told the facts on his Edsel! Let me know if there is something you'd like to know about the Edsel! I have a new tripod ordered so my video doesn't wonder after I secure it and I should be good to go when it arrives! WE have had the best color ever despite the naysayers and it and the warm days continue into the Fall season. Life is good!

So I got to Herman early and had time to walk down the L'Anse Hill northbound. I climbed the rock cut and picked my spot-too many trees for clear viewing but I was happy with the result anyway! Then it was on to Tama Siding where I knew I had a couple hours to kill so I went for a ride in Herman Hills. I only saw two loggers the whole time I was in the area -from 8:30 to 1! I caught the CN coming and going as well as trying to catch a lost dog! Unfortunately he was too scared and ran off in the woods on the Herman Hill! He had been lost for a week already and looked pretty skinny! Still hoping he will be found!

A nice long train through Herman, Bovine and Ford Switch to L'Anse I ended the day after getting some phone engine footage going across US41 to Koppers but I added a short video of the Trout Creek Depot. There is not alot written about Trout Creek but trout Creek was home to three mills at one time!

Finding sections of Old L'Anse was so exciting today! I have to go back and see what else I find! THe brick pathway is so intriguing! Tons of dirt covering up parts of old L'Anse and the Ford Railroad on it's way to the Ford Mill or could it be the Hebard Mill?
