Fall has to be the most color filled time for being a rail fan and recording rail action. the first time I saw a Edsel was in 97 in Northern Maine. as some say the ugliest car you got to love. to me its unique. Thank You and take care.
Great shots Nancy, loved the car! That guys sure knows his stuff, love the color, reminds me of ‘hugger orange’ that Cameros had. Have a good one Nancy👍🏼😎🇺🇸💜
I had to come and check on you, haven’t received any notifications in months. I’m happy to enjoy your video, thanks from one of your original subscribers
OK Nancy! What a beautiful time to be out and around in Der U P Eh. I have a childhood memory of my Dad taking me and my 2 brothers to our rustic log cabin in Big Bay one year in I believe October to fish out on the Bay. Although I do not remember Dad pulling us boys out of school to go on a vacation I know it was October because Dad kept saying the U P can get some very nice weather in October. That would have been in the early 1960's based on my memory of my own age. We had the most perfect weather imaginable that time too. And no bugs. Amazing. I remember the colored leaves falling like snow whenever the wind blew a little. Once again you brought a little bit of the U P right into my living room for me to enjoy. Thank you! ben/ michigan
Oh, my!, what a nice comeback for me, that wonderful Edsel, and CN in nearly the same colors! My health hasnt been good to me this year, and ive spent some time in the hospital, but hopefully i am back.
@@nancyhaun i had a mysterious illness way back in May, they did all the tests possible at the time, and "couldnt find anything". So, nearly 2 weeks ago, it got me again, but this time, it was a different crew in the ER, and they found a plethora of nasty stuff. So, im on all kinds of antibiotics, and starting to feel much better. As for that fabulous Edsel, years ago, i worked with a guy that had all but one of every model made by Edsel, needless to say, it was quite impressive!
We had a neighbor that had an Edsel when I was growing up in Swartz Creek. What I remember is they didn't like it, but I don't remember why. I know they always drove Fords which was somewhat unusual being in a General Motors area. Great looking car and I like the color of the car and the scenery.
That's a lot of power on the trains in Herman. Those would rate 2 GP9s back in the 80s, when i grew up along the CN line in Northern Ontario. I wonder what the situation is that they would use a pair of SD60s instead of smaller locomotives. You got really nice colours, there. Around Quebec City, they're a bit duller than usual, this year. Nice show, the segment with the Edsel was neat.
Gorgeous colors! FYI....I watched a video by Killer bay about trains in the UP in 66-68 time. Milwaukee Road passenger train through all the places you now document. In snowy winter and in color too! Take a look.
I have watched them and love seeing the old depots and areas I now film back then. I actually knew Clint and he was looking for a caboose for me to purchase!
The L'Anse Local looked great passing through Herman, Michigan. at the Ford Switch and then returning south through Bovine, Michigan and back through Herman, Nancy! The fall colors were fantastic, especially in the Bovine area. Thank you to Mike for bringing his 1958 Edsel to show to us. I enjoyed the information that Mike gave us about his pride and joy. There were some really good scenes and color and this one was really a culmination of the best of the best. As the first train went by you the first time the sides of the cars were glinting from the morning dew. At the Fall River Bridge again the Rushing Water plus the sun is shining on all the multi-colored leaves including the noise of the river. At Bovine the train was about 30 cars and were all gondolas at that and the going away shot on the wrong side of the Sun actually it was pretty decent. Then the Heavy Metal tour of the Edsel which in that red and black is reminiscent of the Chicago Fire Department colors Just think that's such a vehicle probably was made with real iron ore and not the taconite pellets. Of course the grand finale as it curves away with all the clatter of the wheels on the jointed rail for a fine conclusion including the Autumn weather. The first four gondolas on the first train made an appearance just a few days ago as the last four cars of a CN Freight clumping across the old Illinois Central\B&O diamonds in Effingham. IL
The engineer did a nice demonstration òf feathering the chimes while approaching in the beginning of your video but failed to give you a salute and with the bell as he approached and passed by you along side the track. The Ford switch showed a beautiful view of the changing color of the fall leaves. The engineer gets two demerits for failing to salute your presence as you created your video, he must know he represents the Canadian National railroad each time you create a video of the important work of railroad transportation. Will the troll down below in Port Huron near the international railroad tunnel.
Thumbs up for the Edsel! 👍👍
Thanks!
Again Nancy a beautiful video enjoying watching and beautiful country too 🚂🚂✨️👍😃😎♥️ Nancy's Adventure ❤
Thanks Don.

The U P can be such a beautiful place. Nice train catches.
Great video, especially the opening shot, and the train coming into Bovine. The Edsel was areal lemon, hence it wasn’t produced long. Thanks Nancy.
