From Routine Flight to Absolute Nightmare | United Airlines 1175
I can never wrap my head around the mistakes the first officer kept making it is as if he was so lost that day
Sounds like too much software
First officer was a coward and idiot
I hope the irresponsible technicians were fired.
GOD is good
This video was very well done
Thanks! :)
All I hear is AUTO PILOT AUTO THROTLE!!!! Where have the flying skills gone???? I flew for 35 years and never relied on automation to the degree it is being relied upon today. It is so dangerous to do so as proven in this insident. Example of tech reliability: I gave a cashier at a shop a$10.00 note. My purchase was for $5.00. This youngster used a calculator to work out how much change to give me ???????
Why do they cover up the actual crash? It was on the news for at least 24 hours. You don't see anyone die or any bodies. Are we 11 and have to be protected from the truth?
Glad my flying days are over.
Boeing was ranked 9th best companies for DEI in 2024
Bring back the meritocracy
This is why pilots should always be men.
I've been watching aviation accident YT channels for years, and this HAS to be the best one I've ever seen. OUTSTANDING. RIP to all the victims of this negligence on the part of Alaska Airlines. The pilots were heroes.
The level of non caring, cavalier "whatever ya wanna do - see ya at the gate" attitude from the maintenance person conversing with this desperate pilot was stunning. Apparently, it was typical of Alaska Airlines back then.
Why fly in these conditions? This was avoidable.
Can you do the Smolensk air disaster analysis next, looking at Macierewicz’s view as well as the Russian and Polish investigators views?
I think if they had followed the checklist they would have crushed
Only 1 of these is for sure a Boeing issue Alaska Air. 3 of them southwest Korean air and Swiftair are undetermined but might possibly turn out to be a boeing issue. The rest are either pilot error klm and most likely cargo jet or maintenance issues. Singapore air just hit unexpected turbulence. Jeju Air is definitely an oddball but i think its probable that the no flaps gear up landing was pilot error initiated after a bird strike. The berm at the end of the runway was a horrible design and isn't a boeing issue.

Remember the tragedy vividly. Was sitting in the restaurant area watching the news at the Hilton Charles de Gaulle . My crew and I were flying from LeBourget to Vnukovo mid-afternoon. Have flown from São Paulo or Rio to Paris several times in the Gulfstream 550. Just about every time we would look at the traffic below us paralleling weather or trying to find a light spot to go through (we would be at 45,000-49,000 ft). Somebody made a comment aircraft were too complex for pilots and it was better to let the autopilot fly - not true! Most really good pilots will hand-fly an aircraft at least to 18,000 or even cruise altitude before engaging autopilot and the same for descent. The other times might be when the workload requires focus on checklists, briefing on the STAR or Approach, etc. then hand flying the Approach. It was a very sad day, indeed!
At minute 3:50, I don't understand how the pilot can declar a mayday and engine fire with such a calm voice?
Give me analog instruments anyday. These boys do not know how to fly. All that money they put into the technology of that aircraft and they don't even have an insrument to let them know that on joy stick control is opposite of the other!!! Who the H designed that silly aircraft. And they don't even have screen in their can show them like a video game what the aircraft configuration TRULY IS???? And if outside parts of the plane are broken off.
If true, his fate was sealed when the FAA equivalent didnt take his mental psychosis seriously which led to the day he took his first step into the quacks office and prescribed psychotropics.
At 68 and some “flight” incidents over the years I’m not flying ever again.
Im not a pilot but im in the aviation industry... do captain's ever call it "flaps one five" as 15... maybe that's the miscommunication. The FO thought he said "one five" instead of "five"...
Shite I remember this, shocking. But most of us put our actual lives in the hands of one or two ppl when flying, seems horrible thb 😮😮
ㅠㅠ
Dont fly commercial, ez
This why I don’t like flying on planes especially since I was on once that almost crashed before too…
Planes are safe ? Who believes this joke ?
I don't like these ghost planes. Spuld feature actors.
Absolutely shocking incompetence by the Russian aggressors
I heard the Boeing staff was infested by w0ke ideologues
After this videos I don't think I take a plane again. This planes have small wings that if engines fail the wings wont let the plane land safely.
The A330 has small wings?!? 😂😆🤣🤪 And why woundnt the plane land safely? 🤔
Wtf was the first officer always regrabbing the stick!?? 😮😮
Many of these incidents are not Boeing's fault. Once and airline takes custody of the aircraft they are resonsible for the maintenance. Many of these planes were old.
Boeing: what's a door?
제주항공 사고 동영상은 진짜 끔찍하고 잔인하네..
When improvements are implemented after such an accident one always wonders why engineers didn't consider a "what if" scenario during the initial design stage, surely cost saving cannot be the reason. The graphics are incredible.
Its totally Malaysian Airlines fault, why fly over a warzone? I am also dissatified with Air India flying over the same. In modern day, no one knows the exact "safe" altitude, given rapid research of weapons, yet...
When the pilot in command said “pull back 1,” the others should have corrected him ! They didn’t notice the whole time that they were lowering throttle on the only working engine 😵
That last one was very depressing, the fact that they only needed less speed to come to a safe stop and make it out hits pretty hard.
I find it inexcusable to hear about pilots with limited or weak English knowledge. They absolutely need to be nothing less than FLUENT in English. Communication is such a big part of keeping everyone safe in this job!
Remi is Nigerian❤
Nearby pilot to ATC: "He's definitely out of control." ATC: "Okay, very good." -I know he's just confirming that he heard him, he understands, and is in a way thanking him for the information, but it just sounds kinda funny.😅
Also, my apologies if my last comment seemed to be insensitive, obviously my heart goes out to those who were lost in these accidents along with their families and loved ones.
Sounds like the majority of these issues were a combination of pilot error, poor maintenance, and poor maintenance. However, the 737 Max has ALWAYS been a problem child...
