This was so helpful, thank you! I'm working on my own spider project and I was driving myself nuts on how I was going to do the legs. Even though the core is aluminum foil it's still heavy because I'm making a fantasy crystal spider. So the body is covered in crystals. But your vid inspired some ideas on how I can make legs that will support the weight!

I came here after finding the photo on google images and following the photo to your reddit post. UNTIL I found the reddit post I genuinely thought it was a real T. seladonia😂 thought she was just a really big specimen for her species. Honestly AMAZING doesn't even describe a fraction of how beautiful, accurate and realistic this sculture is. Wonderdul job!

I owned a vinegaroon, the tailed whip scorpion, for a while. She was so gorgeous! But after she laid eggs she stopped eating. This family of arachnids in general is so wonderfully alien, and you've done it soooo prettily. The attention to detail, and the way you go about sculpting is just spectacular.

i love insects so much, and rarely see art of them like this! It's so beautifully done, I'm inspired. I hope I can make things like this one day too!

Dude!! You're friggin' AMAZING! I've been trying and failing to make one exactly like that too use in a tesin and wood project. The idea us that it appears to be water pools in a knot in a piece on natural pine and a dragonfly has dipped down to splash the water. The wood and resin have for 6 months looked exactly like water splashing up etc but the dragonfly I've found needs to be equally lifelike or the entire thing fails. Wish I could make one as awesome as this one m..😢
