@@Kenza_15a oh yes sure dear, i bake some of my sculpture most especially those with very delicate shape over my fine sand bedding because in doing this method, it prevents the sculpture from deforming or flattening during the curing process, the heat makes the clay soft for few seconds which if the sculpture is only laid over a piece of tile that may cause flatenning because of its own weight.😊 Other artist use cornstarch, baking soda etc. But I think I am the only one who used sand😊 hope i made my explanation clear dear. Thank you.

Your sculpts are always amazing. I love how clever your techniques are, I'd have never thought of making a "cast" of air dry clay. One question, is it just sand what you're using to put the sculpt in for the final bake?
Thank you so much, dear Paula, i truly appreciated the compliments 😊🙏 Yes it's just a bedding of pure fine arabian sand. Not to brag but I am the first clayer who used the sand bedding technique. And you must try it dear its so efficient in preventing your sculpture from deformation during baking.😊
I think a water-based polyurethane clear/gloss varnish will work for the cured clay. And for the resin, resin itself mixed with your pastels or better alcohol inks is the best.

@@LifeofClay sorry for the late response - here’s the basics: ▪️ [Like any other wing-on-wing chirping cricket] the males have a [prominent] stridulatory organ at the upper base of the wings immediately preceding the thorax. ▪️ The females fulfill the suborder name “Ensifera” (Latin for “sword bearer”) with the ovipositor that proceeds from the back tip of the abdomen.
