I really think it has more to do with minimizing the negatives, and acting like minor conveniences are more important than they are. I don't think Coop is necessarily doing this on purpose, I think that he is too far in the forest to see the trees. He has boarded the hype train. I also think people in coops place lose touch with the people he is doing reviews for. Most people are not going to act like a few hundred dollars is nothing for a single attachment.

I have the model before this out in 2021, has a handle on the front. After 4 years heavy use its held up well. A few staples have fallen off the cover/pad and it seems to lean a little bit to one side. I paid $280 Canadian so well worth it.

What thickness of UHMW tape did you use? 3M has two types, 5421 and 5423. The latter one is super thin. Not sure if it's too thin. But I suppose the thinner the less risk of having issues getting the weight to slide well.

@FitnessNews24 i was just joking, i got all the info. It would be cool if you knew that far in advance though. I just bought eisenlinks. I don't care what advancements come out in the future because they are pricing them where I would need a loan to pay off a set of dumbells. Under 500 dollar eisenlinks on Amazon so shipped for under 500 bucks and they will never break. It was a very easy decision on which ones to go with versus rep peppins. They may have got me if there weren't a pre order to wait through, but I ain't so fancy that I can't adjust my adjustable dumbells. Anyone who has a budget needs to at least consider eisenlinks.

Avg YTuber doesnt have unlimited space to review every single piece of equipment and most of time they have to pay for it. Gluck has the space and his channel is clutch as he will call out what he doesnt like but he has to fork over money for the equipment. It won't. I have the gym pal version and have done it with the handles, trap bar style. The issue, though, is that you can't just drop the negative. The unit has a safety mechanism which recognizes the sudden drop as a failed lift and cuts the weight. It isn't an error, it's a safety feature. It works great with the handles, dumbbell style, but I don't like it for barbell exercises, except rdls. The weight feels very unstable for barbell bench and military presses. Personally, I would never use it for barbell squats.
